The YMCA Three Arches Hotel, with its 152 ft high central bell tower, is a Jerusalem landmark recognized the world over. Designed by the world famous architect of the Empire State Building, the hotel offers a blend of old world charm, friendly hospitality, art works and architectural wonders, together with modern, comfortable accommodations to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay in this remarkable city. The external facade of the hotel bears intricate sculptures and inscriptions in English, Arabic and Hebrew reflecting the YMCA's historical role as a meeting place and a spiritual haven in this intense and ancient city. The beautiful gardens and lawns, graceful shade trees, and stone pathways around the hotel are open for our guests' strolling pleasure. The hotel's public areas feature high-ceiling halls and walls often lined with colorful modern works of Israeli and Palestinian artists. The elegant Archibald C. Harte Restaurant restaurant serves culinary delights to our guests, with its garden terrace a delightful oasis in the midst of the city on sunny days and mild evenings. That same sense of tranquility pervades the hotel's rooms and suites, where guests may relax and gather their strength for days of sightseeing or meetings in bustling Jerusalem. The ancient Jaffa Gate, main entrance to the fascinating walled Old City, is just a few minutes' walk away, as are shops, vibrant cafes and restaurants as well as the cultural attractions and night life of the modern metropolis. Three Arches Hotel awaits your arrival, at the very heart of Jerusalem, where peace and quiet reigns, with a pervasive sense of welcome and well-being.

Brilliant hotel. Great location. Highly recommend. Have stayed here many times. I prefer to eat breakfast elsewhere to enjoy other local spots. This hotel feels safe. It is near old city and also local cafes and restaurants.

Outstanding experience at the Three Arches Hotel. Comfortable room and nice bath. Location was perfect. Very walkable to many of the sites in Jerusalem. Easy to get a GETT ride or taxi from the hotel. Loved spending time on the front patio area relaxing and chatting with other guests. The breakfast that was served each day was wonderful. The gym and pool areas are quite impressive. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit.

An unassuming hotel in the heart of Old Jerusalem but not within the walls. The location is stone-throw from Hotel King David but at a reasonable price. Having been a YMCA, it has all the amenities and free parking. Hotel cafeteria is open for breakfast but limited selection. Centrally located within half-mile radius are decent restaurants and stores for shopping but more importantly a 20-minute walk to Jaffa Gate.

The Jerusalem YMCA was built in the 1930’s and has some interesting architectural features both outside as well as in the common areas (the actual rooms have been upgraded recently however). Most importantly, the “Y” is in one of the best locations in Jerusalem – right across from the world-famous King David Hotel and a short walk to the Mamilla Mall (an outdoor pedestrian mall which leads directly to the Old City). The rooms are small but serviceable. Rooms includes a small fridge (NOT pre-loaded with expensive snacks) as well as a safe and a unique skyline headboard which can be illuminated. Breakfast is Israeli buffet style: a few hot dishes and a plethora of salads. More cost effective, menu driven options can be found at the Mamilla Mall (try Rimon and Arcaffe). Suggestions for room improvement: more and better towels as well as pillows, handrails in the shower. The attached gym is modern and includes a competition pool – this is not a place to lounge. The view from the top to the six-story tower is exceptional – not to be missed! Also, special thanks to the wonderful staff at the “Y” – particularly Francis who went above and beyond.

Wonderful place to stay. We paid for breakfast and ate each day. It’s a different kind of breakfast but eatable. Most of the sites are within a 5-30 min walk. We walked to the Israel Museum, Old City, and Jaffa street with no issues. We also enjoyed the YMCA facilities (gym, pool, hot tub). The staff was always available and asking if they could assist with anything. The outdoor area was very nice. People were always outside doing photo shoots or just enjoying the area. The tower has an awesome view of the area during the day and night. I suggest the evening to see Temple Mount and the old city lit up. We also used the laundry service and it was great. They washed separated and folded. Our fridge rater leaked one day. It was fixed quickly and we didn’t have any more issues with it or anything else.

We stayed at the Y 3 Arches for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Driving up to the hotel at night was beautiful. It is an amazing looking building. The inside did not disappoint us either! We got in very late and the staff was extremely welcoming. Parking in the lot connected to the building was easy. Our room was quite spacious and we had a nice view of the gardens. Our only difficulty was that the shower is very compact and it is easy to get water all over the bathroom floor. The location of the hotel was fantastic. It is a very short walk to the Jaffa Gate and to other shopping and restaurants. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

This was our second time staying for a week at the Y's 3 Arches Hotel and it feels like home. There is something very special about staying here. The hotel is in a fabulous beautiful location - on the quieter side but close enough to walk to all areas such as Mamilla Mall, Jaffa Gate, Nachlaot Shiva, King George Street, Rehavia. Our room was on the 2nd floor which was roomy enough for us and very comfortable, including the bed and pillows. The bathroom was a nice size which we appreciated. The wifi was very good in this room. Everyone is absolutely SO friendly here and it adds a lot to the atmosphere of this beautiful building and grounds. The front staff and the kitchen/terrace staff are as helpful and nice as can be. We brought in dinner most nights and ate on the lovely terrace and ordered hot and cold drinks. There is an outside drink station located on the terrace with a small staff who will come to your table to take orders. We ate all breakfasts on the terrace as well. It is such a nice setting and easy to meet other visitors who are staying at the Y from other countries. My husband used the gym or pool almost every day and it is a really nice facility. We did not need parking but there is free parking if needed. Highly recommend walking the grounds and the building's arched walkway, visit the bell tower and 360 views.

This hotel is just stunning. The rooms are simple, but the public areas of the hotel are gorgeous. You can take the elevator to the top of the tower (with the help of staff) for the best view of the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many choices. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had two noncancellable rooms reserved, but when our friends could not make the trip at the last minute, they allowed us to change the reservation to a future date (instead of losing out on the money). We know our friends will appreciate their stay next month!

On prior visits we have seen this magnificent building and the great views from the tower. We booked through the extraordinarily helpful and pleasant Mr. Hassan Ashayer and it was a great pleasure to met him. We had a central view into the courtyard, looking across at the King David hotel, very good for hailing taxis. The beautiful building reeks with history, so ask about it. It’s fabulously well located with a strong multi-cultural sense (including an on-site kindergarten) which we enjoyed. Our room was spacious but a little short of closet space, but this didn’t deter us. Breakfasts were very good with fresh fruits, wonderful baked goods and eggs to order. We will be back, sooner rather than later, we hope! (PS and to get bags up or down the steps - just ask for help, the tip is worth it.)
