This boutique hotel was just a few blocks from Jaffa Road and Ben Yehudah Street, with access to the Light rail. My wife was recovering from an injury at work and the hotel handled getting her wheel chair from, and back to, Yad Sarah. Taxis wre regularly available in front sooner than one could be called for. Excellent kosher breakfasts and Shabbat dinner. I don't drink coffee, but it is available 24/7. My wife liked the in-room tea. It was too hot to use the balcony, but it will be nice if we return in cooler weather. From Jaffa Road it is a fairly short walk to the Old City, Mamilla, etc. There is a nice convenience store half a block away. If you want a great hotel, but don't want to pay for the expensive big luxury hotels, Leonardo Boutique is a great choice. My travel agent was smart to recommend it.…
My daughter and I recently returned from a week's stay at this property. I was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed our stay. Amazing location- a block from Jaffa street (light rail), a short walk to Machane Yehuda or Mamilla mall, about 25 minute walk to the Kotel. We loved how centralized the location was! The daily breakfast is in the Hotel restaurant run by Sufian and his staff. Sufian always greeted us with a smile and was eager to assist with anything. We loved the variety of foods available including some dishes that changed slightly on a daily basis. We also liked that breakfast on Saturday ended at 11 (instead of 1030). Coffee seemed available at all times daily which was nice. There is parking available at the hotel which is a huge plus however it is quite limited. The front desk was always staffed and the employees there were very friendly and helpful! It did get a little busy on Friday afternoon before Shabbat and on Saturday evening after Shabbat. Moriya was very helpful with anything we asked (as were the others - I don't remember all their names). We stayed in an Executive room (Room 119) which was perfect for our needs although we found it a tad small. Loved that it included a small mini fridge. I had asked to see a Jacuzzi room and that appeared to be much more spacious! We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony as well although our view was not much to write home about - a parking lot. The Air conditioning kept the room nice and cool! They also do offer a physical key for those who observe Shabbat. A few things that were annoying- the bathroom (at least our room) did not have an exhaust so the room and mirror get very foggy whenever someone would shower. The shower also is not completely enclosed so expect the floor of the bathroom to get very wet. We enjoyed our stay so much that I will be staying there again next week and very much looking forward to it.…
The Hotel is right near the light-rail which makes travel around the city very convenient. It is also a 25 minute walk from the center of town. If your room faces the old city you get a beautiful sunrise but if not, all you see is the noisy major thoroughfare, which is what you hear most of the night if you choose to enjoy Jerusalem's wonderful summer night air and keep your windows open. The hotel is clean, attractive and new. The pool is quite small and not for swimming. The pool and the gym are not open at hours that are convenient for tourists, business travelers or groups since the hours are from 10-5. The janitorial staff has almost no Hebrew, and has no English either. Which makes communication difficult. The people who run the hotel, however, are very polite, amenable. and even friendly. It is most definitely a 4 star hotel.…
The hotel is in an ideal location--the center of Jerusalem, in an old, quaint neighborhood. We left our car in the gated parking garage and tooled around the city on public transport. The room was large and comfortable, the dining hall spacious, good food, friendly servers. Desk clerks were friendly and helpful. We would gladly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
There are 3x Leonardo hotels in Jerusalem. I can't speak to the others, but our stay at the Leonardo Boutique on Monbaz Street was excellent. It's very conveniently located - we walked all around Jerusalem and to the old city from there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, and the hotel's breakfast is STELLAR. Book it and enjoy your trip. Bonus - there is limited, but free parking in the hotel's garage.
The experience at the hotel was perfect. We arrived as a couple on vacation to spend time, experience Jerusalem and around the hotel there is everything you need for it. The hotel itself looks great, cozy and beautiful rooms. All the staff are pleasant and have an understanding of the customer and the food is excellent. In conclusion, an excellent experience from the hotel, in an accessible and convenient area and amazing Jerusalem.
Due to house painting, we found ourselves visitors in our own city for five nights. We chose the Leonardo boutique due to its positive reviews, its central yet quiet location and the competitive rates of the Fattal chain. Before our stay, hubby asked to see a room and was treated with welcoming attitude. We were checked in by the ever present and ever caring Sufian, who also welcomed us every morning at breakfast. Our room was a lovely studio room, with one big windows facing Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives, and a cosy terrace with a view of the Dome of the rock. Although central, our room was quiet and double curtains barred the light very effectively. Plenty of toiletries, good spacious double head shower, nice nespresso and kettle corner, empty small fridge. Everything was in working order and cleaning was prompt and good. All our requests were met with courtesy and promptly. Due to work I spent quite a long time in the room and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful varied fresh and very very good. Niggles: 1. Wifi is very erratic especially at night 2. The corridor carpet is designed to look worn. Not it is really worn which shows even more 3. Towels and sheets should be checked before folding . On the first day we got a towel full of red stains, and a sheet was torn. As mentioned above, all change requests were executed and met with a smile. I definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely love to come back.…
This hotel is absolutely incredible! The staff is so accommodating, kind, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend the mango salad 😍 and all of the pastries!! The chef was so kind and welcomed us. The hotels manager is an absolute pleasure she welcomed us and made our stay feel like home. Would 100% recommend this hotel. The location is also amazing 10 minute walk to mamila and 5 min walk to tons of restaurants. Can’t get better than this.
A new boutique hotel of a very high standard. Neat and personal reception - huge thanks to Sameh - receptionist. Very rich and varied breakfast, quality and personal service - amazing. Pampering Jacuzzi in the outdoor area with sun beds and rest - amazing. Tea and coffee corner active 24 hours - excellent. Sophisticated gym for those interested. Central location within walking distance of every possible hiking destination. I was with mom in an accessible (disabled) room with an amazing balcony. Room cleanliness, maintenance, a constant desire to help and assist the staff - just amazing! We will definitely be back to the hotel again.
We were planning a wedding in Israel during Covid... One of our best decisions was staying at the Leonardo Boutique hotel. The management was great at helping us tend to all of our details. The food was superb. And the rooms were clean comfortable and up to date. The location is great too. Walking distance to many other desired locations. I know it has been challenging for the hospitality industry during this time but LBH doesn’t seem to have missed a beat. Thank you! We’ll be back
