The hotel is a short walking distance from the Old City and just steps away from HaTachana, the city’s first-ever train station which has since transformed into a lively district of designer boutiques, galleries, trendy cafes and restaurants. The hotel's design, inspired by the past, and guided by the future, features 243 beautifully-appointed guestrooms and suites in its newly constructed central building, as well as a selection of opulent accommodations inside two expertly preserved Templar Buildings from 1882 and 1883. First time stay at the Orient, having stayed previously at the other Jerusalem luxury hotels on prior trips. The Orient holds its own and has its own charm, with a top-rate breakfast, nice rooms and public spaces, and a good location near the First Station. Easy access to cabs to visit Mamilla, the Old City, and other Jerusalem sites. Rooms are well-equipped and service is friendly, but without some of the flourishes you find in some of the grander, but more expensive, local alternatives. Very enjoyable stay and nice service as well.

A 17-minute walk from the Tower of David in the Old City, this posh hotel with a 19th-century annex is 5 km from Jerusalem-Malha train station. The rooms are chic, clean and comfortable, well-equipped with all the toiletries you need. There is free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, espresso machines and bathrooms with heated tile floors and copper sinks. S Amenities include 2 restaurants, a garden, a synagogue, and a rooftop pool overlooking the Old City. A spa has a hammam, a gym and a heated indoor pool. My room looks just like the pictures they have, so I was really surprised when I walked in. The staff are very friendly and speak perfect English.

Wow!! AWESOME hotel!! Great, attentively service!! The hotel is beautiful and in wonderful spot. Close to lots of restaurants and to public transportation so you can go anywhere so quickly without your car (wich is important in Jerusalem). I gave 4 stars and not five because the hotel parking is very expensive, and because the water in shower had one option- hot burning water😅 But besides that, really great hotel with awesome service

The Orient Hotel was an unexpected gem. Inside is not as you would imagine from its exterior. Ornate, modern and luxurious. Amazing accommodation spacious and comfortable, as nice a city accommodation as I've experienced. The Orient boasts a large, excellent restaurant with great food. We had a delicious carvery. A great rooftop pool as well. Stayed just a couple of nights, thoroughly enjoyed the stay definite 5 stars

The room was amazing, and the staff was perfect. Came there after my wedding and got greeted with wine and balloons in my room, special services to anything I wanted and met the nicest staff I've encounteted. From the reception to the bell boys, everyone did their job perfectly. Especially Gilad Fatal who helped me with my luggage and made it all happen!

Dear _F3351RA, It was such a pleasure to read your comments regarding your recent stay in the Orient Hotel. The stunning Orient Jerusalem, part of Isrotel Exclusive, offers a vacation experience of unparalleled elegance amid the bustling cosmopolitan city. Its central location makes it the perfect starting point for exploring a vast array of local attractions, including the First Station (the historic train station-turned-entertainment hub), sprawling Liberty Bell Park, Mishkenot Sha'ananim (the first neighborhood to be built outside the Old City walls), and a wealth of restaurants and boutiques within the German Colony. Our goal is the comfort and enjoyment of our guests and we sincerely appreciate receiving reviews such as yours, which affirm by how much we have succeeded. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future. Best Regards Dorin

My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel for a Friday-Saturday. I was very surprised to find out when arriving at the hotel that I needed to pay 250 shekel extra for "late checkout" on shabbat. This fee was not mentioned anywhere in the reservation process and most hotels in Israel allow checkout after shabbat free of charge (and if not, they tell you when reserving what the charge would be). The room was expensive already and I was very upset with this unexpected added cost. The manager would not budge so I was forced to pay it as I am shabbat observant and had no choice. Additionally, my wife and I are members of the Chug Shemesh club and it was both of our birthdays this weekend. We have come many times on our birthdays and there is always a nice gift in the room. This time there was a tiny box of 4 small pieces of baklava - very disappointing. I wish I took a picture but forgot it. For a luxury hotel these details make a big difference. We have been members of Isrotel for 10 years and go yearly to one of the "Exclusive collection" hotels. Unfortunately the prices keep going up but the service is going down.

Dear 686avir, The Isrotel hotel chain places guests inquiries and matters in primary importance, learns from them and draws conclusions. I would like to stress how sorry I was to read about your remarks and feelings, as described in your words, regarding your recent stay at the hotel. We are devoted to ensuring the well-being of our guests and our main value is to provide them with an enjoyable and unforgettable vacation with courteous and professional service. All of your comments have been taken to our attention and brought to the attention of the parties concerned. To inform, late check out in Shabat is at a rate of 25% of the value of the night's cost according to the price list on the day of departure, in the middle of the week and on the weekends. The Isrotel hotel chain, like most hotels in the world, offers rooms from 15:00 until 12:00 the next day, (depending on the hotel). On a Saturday/holiday, exceptionally and out of consideration, the management of the chain allows a slightly later departure, at 14:00 PM, and this without any additional payment. Continued stay in the room beyond the hours indicated above, involves a fee, and is subject to receiving prior approval from the reception department, on the day of departure and according to hotel occupancy. As we know, there are guests who plan their arrival on the day you leave the hotel, and expect to receive their room on time, as every guest expects to do so upon arriving at the hotel. We hope that despite this we will be given the opportunity to return to host you in the future while we do our utmost to make your vacation enjoyable. Best Regards Dorin

This is one of the most beautiful and high quality hotel we’ve stayed in. I can’t stress enough how special and amazing this hotel is. The oriental style is unique, and adds so much to the luxurious experience. The view from the top floors and the pool is magnificent - Jerusalem at its best. Add amazing food - delicious but also stylishly served, spacious room. Fabulous location, and professional and kind staff - and you get a prefect vacation. We’re definitely coming back!
