Comfortable room, well equipped bathroom, friendly staff, nice rooftop. Excellent location (close to the old town on foot), bus and streetcar stop nearby. Excellent breakfast and well-stocked buffet. It's just a pity that breakfast is only served at 7:30 am and not a little earlier to continue with the visits of the city. Street noise with a slightly insufficient soundproofing.
Episode number 1: We arrive to our room. Our bed has two single mattresses. The bed sheet is off. Apparently, it is too small for the bed. I call to the reception and the say "we'll send someone". Sure enough they do. That someone *handles me the sheet* and walks away. I was afraid that the next morning they would bring me a vacuum cleaner, so I can clean my room. Episode number 2: There were two (2) towels in the bathroom. That's what they give. After some negotiations, a towel to step out of the shower was provided. No hand towels, no "lets have a different towel for head and body", none of this nonsense. These episodes might be somehow tolerable in a hostel, and not a very good one. Not in a hotel that takes 1000NIS per night Episode number 3: Our room was under the roof. On Friday night a group had a party there. No music, just voices. We heard everything. It was going until 1am at the least, and of course we had hard time going to sleep. The idea of soundproofing does not exist there - even with closed window you hear the street, the concert in Brichat ha-Sultan, the party, everything. I give the hotel 2 and not 1 because there are some good things there: *As said in the title - the staff is really really nice. They are good people, just nobody explained them how to run a hotel *Great location *The view, at least from our room, was fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous. And if your room doesn't offer the view, you can go to 9th floor and they have an observation deck. *The breakfast is very good.…
This hotel is located in the city center of Jerusalem. If you ever had a chance to watch "Fawlty Towers", you will have the same experience here; rude staff (some refused to speak Hebrew ("only Arabic or English, please"). My bathroom was flooded ("what did you do? OK, Ok, we will repair it...") a cramped dining room where an avarage breakfast is served, with the possibility to sit "outside": many of the seat cushions were left outside overnight so they were damp/wet (something you find out only when you sit down....).
Loved this hotel. Not only is it walking distance from all the main sightseeing spots, it's like an oasis of peace and beauty. The rooms are classy and coolly beautiful, modern and sleep design. Bathrooms are a delight. Even the WiFi is flawless. I especially liked the balcony with the jacuzzi and amazing view, and the ground floor coffee room with delicious chocolate cake always available. Very pleasant to grab a coffee and take it up to the balcony. We also, very generously, were offered a complementary breakfast, just because they're so nice.
Great location. Attention to detail Coffe in lobby 24/7 great rooftop with jacuzzi. Walking distance to prime attractions. Parking garage . Highly recommended. Small rooms but has everything you need. Good comfortable beds. Sweeping views.
If you plan to travel in Jerusalem, TRYP is a good ideea to book a room in the heart of the City! They respect the customer and offer good services: clean rooms, good food, very nice staff. Congrats to all team!
We spent a Shabbat in the hotel. The room and the bathroom were clean and well appointed. It was a bit small but since we were only there for one night over Shabbat it really didn't make any difference to us. The hotel has all the facilities that you need if you are shomer shabbat: a Shabbat elevator, a 'coffee room' where there was hot water urn and even some cookies. We spoke to the front desk about setting up the lights for Shabbat and that was no problem and of course we got an actual key for the room over Shabbat. We had breakfast on Shabbat morning before we went to shul. The breakfast was fresh there was a nice selection of items the room was clean and the staff were very helpful. All in all we were very happy and would definitely recommend the room to other frum people looking for a less pricey place to spend Shabbat.…
This is a hotel. Period. Nothing more, nothing less. Average size room, flooding shower cubicle that was not attended to during our short stay. Comfortable bed, hot water. A basic place to spend a night. Bring your own nibbles and water. They do not leave a bottle of water in the bedroom and it seems that they dont have any in the hotel at all. If you are on diet, bring your own diet food as again, they dont have any in the breakfast room and seemed quite surprised that I even asked for them. In short, a clean place for an overnight stay, nothing more. I am sure that there are better places to stay for the price.
Reception was great, We were a little bit annoyed they wanted us to pre-check-in which is useless. The room was a little too small It was clean all over Bathroom fuuly equiped No issues Towels too little, but that seems to be a trend. Breatfast was surprisingly good Variety, quantity and quality. The roof top jacuzzi looks great We didn't get to use it. Theocation is great, many great places to eat not far. Did not use hotel parking.
First off the good: service hotel staff were amazing. Shalem my first contact with the hotel made me very welcome and was a wonderful person to meet. The staff met all my demands. I asked for and reciecved 5 extra blankets to so my bed would be more comfortable. Its the princess and the pea as far as beds go. Yes it helped me.! The food was varied and plentiful. But a very small dining room/no problem I sat outside. Coffee ?tea always avaiable with fresh fruit and cakes. the location is very good public transportation and cabs, easy to get. Now the Bad: the room was far different from what I expected BECAUSE the bathroom was INSIDE with a glass wall and door. the toilet was next to my ear and I was with my hubby of 30yrs Still not very nice I don't think all the rooms in the hotel were like this one. The bathroom had a big shower and a big sink but no counter. Overall I did enjoy myself there because the good over came the bad.…
