A nice, quiet hotel located near the Louis Promenade and the Bahai gardens. Offers a view over the Haifa bay area. Room was clean and nice. The hotel offers an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was OK. The receptionist (Nahed) was very helpful and nice.
We stayed at the Mirabelle Plaza Haifa in late December and found it to be a perfect option for us. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his wife and had two lovely rooms on the tenth floor. The hotel lobby is charming and there are comfortable couches to sit on and chat, in addition to fresh juices and water with fruit to enjoy for refreshment. The breakfasts were generous and offered a variety of options to choose among. The fresh bread was delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the Ba'Hai Gardens and is walking distance or a short ride to many fabulous restaurants in the area. Be area that Haifa is very hilly and the roads are narrow if you are driving!
This place is a total dump. The room is dirty, it is beyond tired and the staff is incredibly rude. There is no redeeming quality of this place except possibly the restaurant which I am scared to try after everything else I have experienced. This place is a hole in every way. Buyer beware BIG time
The worst night ever. We had room 1019 which is one flight above the street facing the front of the hotel and a full blown construction site. Tractors, cement mixers from early morning. I had joined their Dan members club in the hopes of getting assigned a quiet room but no such luck.
This hotel has now changed ownership multiple times in the past few years and is still struggling to get its act together. Things that were good: descent room, good view, fairly good location Things that were bad: gross carpets throughout entire hotel, mediocre breakfast (relative to Israel's hotel standards), mediocre customer service, no ambiance, small and slow elevators (there are two, and one of them broke on one day resulting in long wait times to get in and out of room) Check in - slow and not customer friendly: we had trouble at the check in for about 45minutes - slow check in and dispute on agreed upon rate/charges that was not resolved. Hallways - gross: Finally we got past check in. When you walk off the elevator to the room, the carpets are stained to their core. It creates a terrible first impression. Two years ago we stayed in the same hotel and had a similar comment and they said they were replacing it, but nothing happened since. It is quite gross. We had an executive room which was large with a view. it was a bit stuffy and not well ventilated but generally good. (The hotel changed flagship from Crowne Plaza to the Dan Hotel chain but that is by name only. They didn't really care to change much else. The cardboard that have hotel-reference phone numbers on them still have the Crowne Plaza logos. it didn't bother us of course, but is just another indication of the lack of chain-pride and care). Breakfast - mediocre: Good Israeli hotels pride themselves in excellent breakfasts, and we did enjoy it in other hotels on our trip. Breakfast here was just adequate. We were up at 8am for breakfast and the dining room was quite. We understood from hotel employees that the dining room gets rowdy later in the morning. Overall: okay experience to just have a place to sleep for a couple of nights. nothing more. way over priced for what you get though.…
Good and clean room. I booked a room with shower and the bathroom was spacious with a shower. The room had a marvelous view of the Haifa bay and it's port. The breakfast was very good. A lot of products which where refilled often. Very good BB with the backing of Dan hotels chain.
We chose the Mirabelle Plaza Haifa because of its good reviews and location. We arrived at 2:00, knowing that check in is at 3:00, figuring we'd wait. Long story short, a very difficult woman was at the desk greeting us, and even after 3:00, still insisted that our room wasn't ready- when we asked if we could get a different room, the answer was no. She thankfully went on her break, and I turned to someone else at the desk- Elizabeth- who was lovely, and said 'sure, we can switch your room. Go right up'. There was no reason for a moody greeter. It is unfortunate that a staff member should leave a bad taste for us. We have traveled extensively, and stayed in many Dan hotels: this is the first time in my life that I have left a negative review.
First time here since change from a Crown Plaza. Now is a Dan property. Spectacular location with stunning views of the harbor. The first room was quite small with no desk so we asked the staff to move us to a room with a desk, Within an hour they had moved us to a bigger room with a desk which made all of the difference in the world. Rana and Orwa were very pleasant and answered all of my questions in English since I don't speak Hebrew. Breakfast is very filling and the seating is far enough apart to not feel crowded. Gym is free and has the basics. Pool and hot tub were also free and a good place to swim laps.
Very unsatisfied. The establishment needs to replace their managerial staff . We arrived at three pm waited in line for twenty minutes to get two rooms with two twin beds and opened sofa when we ordered two double beds with a baby bed and child ‘a bed. Spent another twenty minutes get things sorted out. Then we went to the pool . No towels and were asked to bring our own from the room being assured that when we return to the room there would be towels . There was not. The pool had very cold water and when leaving the pool it was so cold unlike other indoor pools that the water is warm or the facility is heated. Here was neither. Had a nice diner and went to bed. The bathtub was so far off the crows that easily fall and the tub is slippery which is noted on the wall but nothing on the floor to prevent slipping . At ten thirty woken up by pounding on the door. A white was trying to clean her client but the client screamed that he had still ten more minutes!! Slept well and went to breakfast. No room in the dining hall so ate in the foyer.…
I thoroughly recommend this very well run establishment in Haifa. Clean and well appointed, the service and front desk are first class, the hotel has a beautiful indoor pool and spacious dining room with a panoramic view of the port and lower town. The food is tastefully presented, plentiful and fresh, the staff always there to assist. Full of praise for this fine hotel.
