Bed Bugs. My girlfriend got stung by bed bugs on the first night. at first, we didn't suspect it was bed bugs. On the third night, we woke up at 4:30 AM and she was stung all over her body. We went down to the reception and talked to the guy who was on night shift. He went up to our room, told us we were lying (although we have photos to prove there were bed bugs), and told us to wait a few hours until the morning because he could not give us another room. I remind you, it was around 5 AM and we had nowhere to go, and he just told us to "wait around a few ours". After a bit more arguing and yelling, he talked to his boss again and magically got us a room - after telling us there were none available. In the morning we went to talk to the manager of the hotel. he again called us liars, although we had proof, and yelled at us. He told us we can't get the money back for the nights we had already spent there, and that he is stopping the conversation. His argument was that he brought an expert which could not find any bed bugs. This expert was conveniently brought there while we were not there, and, if you read for five minutes on the internet, you could easily find that it takes way more than a few hours to catch bed bugs, because it involves laying traps, waiting a few days to see what got caught, and checking for eggs. In short, it was probably a lie told to us in order for the manager to cover his ass. This is the worst treatment we have ever gotten in a hotel. This place refused to take responsibility for being un-sanitary (the bathroom and the room itself reek), and as a result we now have to be on alert for bed bugs in our homes. I strongly recommend you not to come here. Thank you.…
Small and Basic room but ok, nice staff (especially the older man) , good location close to the Eilat Central bus station. The bus number 30 goes from the airport to the center and vice versa and we paid the tickets to the driver
location is perfect, next to the bus station, if you coming from Tel Aviv and just want to sleep this is great located. good Wi-fi, good services staff friendly. there is free coffee, cookies and tea. room is okay. walking distance to the beach and restaurants
Room was clean and was in a good location and the staff were pleasant. We were able to walk to the beach, restaurant, and bus station easily. I had a difficult time with the strong fragrance in the room though. We tried to air it out and slept with the balcony door open, but it was still very strong. When I mentioned it to the front desk before leaving the next day, I was told it was from the laundry detergent used. But I had seen the cleaning staff using a bottle of air freshener across the hall and we had to close our door to keep more of it from coming in our room again. Also the cupboard, which had no linens in them, had the same overwhelming fragrance. So, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone with asthma or allergies.
Book this hotel for diving weekend, day after the booking I injured myself and went into surgery, calked the airline company, sent the hospitol paper and refunded for the whole amount... But mitel Aviv didnt even let me talked to the owner, only recepteniest that was rude and unheloful, been to this hotel several times before, on the very poor side of hotels, hotel is mesure not by his milk at breakfest, but in customer service like in this case. Paied for the whole price, very rude people .
It even has a pool. Shop around the corner. Fridge and kettle in the room. Make your own breakfast. Staff friendly. Outdoor restaurant a few meters further. I like this as my place when I am on a quick “swim with the fishes “ trip.
This is a hotel rather than a motel. However it offers basic but clean rooms with refrigerators. The motel also has a sun deck with an unheated pool. However Eilat is very hot with temperatures above mid 80s a lot of the time. It’s also close to the stop for the route 30 bus from Eilat Ramon airport which is about 20 mins away. The motel is close to shops and restaurants nearby. With the attractions on the seafront a further few minutes away.
The Motel Aviv is a nice clean small hotel. In the USA, a "motel" is a "motor hotel" meaning that you drive up to your room. So, to me, the Aviv is properly called a "hotel". There are certainly fancier and more expensive places to stay, which may be important to some travelers, which is why I reserved the 5th star. Please do not interpret the 4-star rating to mean that I found anything wrong or bad at Motel Aviv. It was very clean, all advertised ameniies were present, plenty of ho waer, luggage storage for late checkout was a breeze, the WiFi worked well, and the lobby was comfortable. If I need to travel to Eilat again, I will definitely consider Motel Aviv for the top of my list.
I went through TA to book 2 hotel rooms, which took me to Booking.com who sold them as proper hotel rooms, but they are actually hostel rooms. Rooms on the 1st floor are basement level, with one small window in the top corner at street level. The shower is not separate, with just a curtain separating the toilet and shower area and a squeegee is provided for you to use on the floor, as the water will flood the entire bathroom floor and is slippery. The expectation is that you will squeegee the floor after your shower, pulling the water into the drain (see pics). There is no hot water to shower with at night time, you'll have to wait till the morning. The bed is set up as 3 separate single beds (see pic), but the room so small that 2 are pushed together. They are very soft mattresses, to the point that if you lean too far on the end of the mattress (say when you're laying on your side), you will fall to the floor as it collapses. There is a small fridge in the room which is helpful (see pic), they provide toiletries (see pic) but they are terrible - the shampoo/conditioner in one destroyed my hair. There is a pool (see pic) that looks good, the TV remote requires all sorts of weird control settings to get it working, you have to press a series of buttons which are not explained to you, nor are there instructions in the room. There is free parking for limited amount of cars (very few actually), but you'll need a car to stay here as it's not in walking distance of anything. The front desk woman was unhelpful, didn't answer my questions about what was open on Friday night, generally had a zero interest attitude, however the next day the guy was very helpful with lots of information and recommendations.…
Stayed there at least 15-20 times for my frequent diving trips to Eilat. It's okay, very basic and modestly-priced. But this time was the second time I booked, had to cancel and they refused to cancel my reservation. This time it was just 48 hours after reservation and 11 days before the stay. And they charged when I reserved. At the end I did stayed there for one night this weekend, but this is no way to behave. They may have earned 100$ or do, but they lost a returning customer! First time the same thing happened I kept going there, but I will not set foot there again!
