This hotel is an old staple, emphasis on old. Pros: Common areas seem clean Cheap Food - Good enough breakfast and dinner buffets Staff seems nice King sized bed Cons: Our room was seriously rundown - carpet had stains and cigarette burns, pillows were horribly lumpy, vents caked with dust, yucky bathroom with mold in the shower and sink Pool - boring rectangle that looks onto a construction site. We now know that Eilat sand is quite rocky so a nice pool area is a must in the heat! 15 min walk to City Center (no on-site amenities other than crappy pool) Since it has been around so long, the Nova Like has a following. My father in law explained that many of the workers from the local construction projects come to this hotel with their families. Honestly, I can be very picky with hotels and it drives my husband crazy. This time even he made the call that we leave early! Per my husband - this would work for someone looking for cheap lodging who doesn’t plan to be there much and really doesn’t care what the room is like. To enjoy Eilat, stay in a nice resort and take advantage of no VAT tax…
Good location, walking distance from the promenade and shopping centers. A simple hotel but one that gives full value for money. The double bed is large and very comfortable. The hotel is clean and tidy. Breakfast and dinner are very good and the staff are excellent. Overall we had a great time
Pros: pretty clean. Good size suite. Staff was pretty friendly. Cons: Exactly the type of place I try to stay away from when vacationing in Israel. An old hotel in dire need of remodeling (chipped tiles, old and uncomfortable showers). Unappealing décor, reminiscent of a government building. Many options for breakfast, yet none were appealing or tasty. The pool plays loud music daily, and looks out into a large construction area, so we didn't use it at all. Location is off center. A bit sad all in all. We spent as little time in the hotel as possible For the price - which wasn't low! - there are so many better options in Eilat.
We were in Eilat for the days between Yom Kippur and the beginning of Sukkot. Check-in was easy and Sinai, the person at the front desk when we checked-in, was friendly, super helpful, fun, and a great representative of the hotel! The rooms are spacious and clean but pretty run down as is the whole hotel. It needs a refresh. The pool is large and obviously gets a lot of use. The lifeguard spent more time on his phone than watching the pool. There were a lot of chairs and space. The place to get towels was not manned and there were often no clean towels and no place to put the dirty ones. Also, more trash cans might promote people cleaning up after themselves. There was a cold water dispenser that was a bonus given the heat. The professionals working at the hotel tell were really great. Everyone was friendly and helpful and should be applauded for being great at customer service, even when the hotel was quite full.…
The first room we got had cigarettes smell all over the place, and in general wasn't clean. Carpets were sticky and dirty, bath tub was with corrosion. Duty manager was nice and immediately switched rooms for us, though in lower floor and far from the elevator. We accepted the switch since the second room was decent. Even though there are signs everywhere, people are smoking and littering in the pool. Breakfast was alright, but most of Eilat hotel has a better one.
A great experience in nova like hotel in Eilat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The family suite has a little kitchenette with a round table, and nowadays with COVID it was very helpful, we ordered takeout from restaurants and ate it in the room. The hotel has an underground parking for free, on a space available base, and in Eilat’s hot weather, it was great to enter a chilled car. We stayed there for 3 nights, a couple with 3 grown up kids, and had a wonderful time.
We found very cheap deal. Great cost for middle weak. Excellent service, delicious food 15 Min. Walk to the mall and beach. No entertainment but the pool is great. We loved staying there, the stuff was very helpful, gave us great recommendation. Hotel is located in the new center, close to restaurants.
We enjoyed our 2-day stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The rooms were clean, though a little worn (eg. the carpet needed to be replaced) and we had plenty of delicious food at breakfast. Nice massage chairs in the lobby, so we enjoyed a 10-shekel massage which was great after a day of activity. We had a top floor room but unfortunately the view beyond the pool was very disappointing, overlooking a sandy building site. We liked that the balcony was accessible from both the bedroom and lounge area.
We stayed in the last week of August in Nova hotel. We were 17 people in 4 rooms. We stayed in rooms 501,505,509 ( family room ) and 502 ( couple room ). The rooms are not big enough for 5 people and if one of them is a baby, than you can't move to much. The baby cot was broken and also the shower. The living room beds aren't comfortable at all but the double bed was perfect. The staff was friendly and immediately took care to the problems we raised. The rooms aren't sound proof and you can hear the other rooms clearly. All in all, it was good value for money.
I strongly recommend staying at Nova Like. This is my third vacation here. The service is excellent, the receptionists are friendly and all the staff are helpful and make you feel pampered and special. The hotel is well designed and maintained. It is clean and there is a great atmosphere in the public areas. The swimming pool is extremely clean and open for most hours of the day. The dining room is spacious and enables one to have sit intimately unaware of the other guests. There is a wide variety of delicious options to choose from to eat. The hotel suites are very spacious , the beds really comfortable and there is a kitchenette. There is also a big balcony which we used a lot, especially in the evenings. I will continue staying at Nova Like for all the reasons mentioned. It is excellently managed. You definately get your dream vacation at a .very reasonable price…
