When arriving at the hotel they put me in a decent room, however the windows went into sort of a ventilation channel with smell and dirt about kitchen and animals. If you are ok to not open the window and having no outside view you might be fine with it.
My request to change the room was immediately met, I got a room which was really small, no space to put your suitcase on or a table to work with the laptop. The room had a bad smell, and the AC was not working.
Requesting a change again, I got sort of a suite, which was quite nice, with no bad smell, working AC and city view (actually all things you would expect anyhow).
The breakfast was great, the staff friendly and helpful

Very nice service, good location. We loved the restaurant very much, very delicious dishes. Waiters were really friendly as well. Only thing that we did not like much is that some rooms smell like previous guests have been smoking inside before us.

The hotel is in a good position.
We didn't have breakfast included in our stay and went down to restaurant on our first morning. We found the breakfast was not great! Nobody tells you where anything is and when I eventually found the orange juice it wasn't fresh, more like squash. The milk was definitely off, staff came up to us asking for payment 3 times, food was not nice.
We went out every morning after that and it was so much cheaper than hotel price!
We had trouble with ac leaking but this was resolved very quickly.
Reception on our late check in was very efficient and helpful.
We could here music some nights until 2am but this wasn't really a problem for us.

Experience of staying in this hotel has left me with no choice but to give a 0 star rating.
Never in my life travelling, have I come across such an hotel with extremely unhelpful and rude staff.
Unfortunately, we are stuck here for 2 more night.
If you can please please avoid this hotel. Not worth it. It will ruin your holidays.
Issues that we came across to name a few - sunk mattresses, no hot water for around 10 hours, non functional air conditioning in 1 room.
Details given below.
We have 3 rooms at this hotel. 1 suite and 2 superior. Room size is okay but bed is very uncomfortable. You can see the mattress is sinking in the middle.
Last night we had no hot water in any of 3 rooms. When I informed reception, I was told that only 5 rooms in hotel have been affected. So 3 rooms out of 5 belonged to us. Mind you our 1 rooms is on 2nd floor and 2 rooms on 4th floor. I was told at 10pm the hot water will be back in 30 mins as the boiler is warning up. At 7:30am still no hot water I complained again and I was told another 10 mins. Finally we had hot water at 8am.

After check in I informed, reception that the air conditioning not working in 1 of the rooms but I was shrugged off by saying that our central heating system is still on winter mode and we can’t change the temperature. I made a video of room with broken air conditioning and another video of room where air conditioning was working fine I.e. I can control the temperature as well as control fan speed. When I showed this to duty manager named Salametin, he told me that it’s not possible. I have not come across an individual as unprofessional as this, who would not even consider the possibility of him being wrong.

Breakfast, that a whole new story. Most chaotic breakfast service ever.
Without going into much details, breakfast finishes at 10:30am. Anything requests after that are met with a response that it is chargeable, this goes for even glass of water.

I work in hospitality business myself and usually, I’m very accommodating towards fellow hospitality businesses but this one is beyond anything I have seen or experienced in my 25 years of hospitality career.
Overall, Türkiye is a wonderful place had a wonderful stay in Antalya and Pamukkale. Istanbul is wonderful but if you want to have a great holidays avoid this hotel.

I mistakenly made a reservation for a room for three people for the night at this hotel.
The reservation was made through the Booking website.
I canceled the reservation after 20 minutes and received a cancellation confirmation, but the hotel charged me the full payment.
I asked for my money back but the hotel refused.

Ramada Plaza Sultanahmet is not a hotel at all. It's a very awful place where the staff are so rude, no hot water, and rooms are not cleaned.

The restaurant is always loud, and once you set foot in the hotel, you only wish to get out.
To everyone out there, stay away!

I never stayed at the hotel. The hotel cancelled my reservation the day before I was due to arrive. I contacted their reservations and they said it was a system error. However they would not honor the original booking rate which has doubled due to having to rebook the day before. This is a scam to drive up rates. Never have I experienced this with a hotel chain. Be careful when booking with this hotel.

Hello
I was not satisfied with my stay at this hotel that I do not recommend.
The room is really small, it looks like a cage. Despite my reservation of a superior room.
The breakfast is very mundane, without any variety and the music in the restaurant is really bad at 8am.
Even with the central air conditioning and closed, the hotel is very hot, I can not breathe so it is hot. It’s like being in a steam room. The window is open.

The worst experience I ever had . I came on 8th and booked through booking.com a superior king room with city view.

On the 8th they said the rooms are booked and will give this normal room without view for just tonight and will change it tomorrow. The next day morning I went to reception to change, she promised by 2:00 pm .
By 2:00 pm I went , I took my luggage’s out of the room as I was going for shoping and asked to change , she said will do later , by the evening I came - there was no-room issued to us.

So disappointed and claimed to have complaint to booking.com
I got a room like cage, so dull and annoying experience. They are lier and so bad experience on the front desk.

Ramada Plaza Sultanahmet
Istanbul

My likes :
**Excellent staff in the reception desk. They were very helpful and gave me lots of suggestions on how to spend my 7 tour-days in Istanbul.

**Great love and appreciation for the
Ramada plaza restaurant staff:
Husain
Nazli
Fatma
Marwa
Burak
They always greeted me with the usual good morning thing. Always smiles even though were working very hard to take care of customers.

**the Lobby was wide and comfy and it had plenty of variable seats to suit everyone’s taste.
** the concierge was a great person with a lot of help.
** the tour desk lady ( I think her name is Sarah) was of exceptional character and I really had a great time getting help from her.

Dislikes:
**I asked for a shaving kit at 8 o’clock in the morning of Thursday and it did not get it up to the time I left the hotel, even though I asked a second time and I remarked the third time.

**Water cutoff at 11:30 at night for one hour.

**Door locks don’t fully extend so you can’t fully lock the door. At this was my room door!

**No double secure latch locks with little chains.

**Instructions on the A/C control unit is in Turkish with no English translation.

**I was not able to get to the Gym floor by the elevator . It was a scary moment because it wouldn’t respond when I clicked the doors to open button. Later I learned their was no gym.
