One of the warmest place and staff. The location is very central, the traffic can get bad, but that applies to the entire city. Lot of affordable eating places close by. The staff is super courteous, and breakfast is very thoughtfully and tasefully done. The restaurants are great. The coffe shop in lounge is also good. Special mention to Mr Anar, from front desk, who went the extra mile to make me and our group comfortable. Was lucky to meet Mr Tasman, the GM, a thorough gentleman. Will surely visit again.

I am staying at the Kempinski UB to complete 14 days of Hotel Quarantine upon arrival into Mongolia.
The room is spacious, very clean and well maintained. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and complimentary internet with good connection speeds.
The menu is well designed, varied, and meals are served hot and fresh.
The room service is fast and reliable with a good range of food and beverages available.
All of the staff that I have interacted with from the Hotel Manager, Front desk staff to the Housekeeping team are very welcoming and accommodating of requests.
I would defiantly recommend people to select the Kempinski when seeking accommodation in UB.

I stayed here during the month of January 2021 and Taivanaa and the entire staff made the stay as comfortable as possible. Room service food was on-time, filling, and good (and most importantly, it felt like there was a large variety from day-to-day so it never got boring!) The rooms were comfortable and large enough for relaxing or exercising, depending on one's mood. The bathrooms are extremely comfortable, with instant hot water, an amazing bathtub, and a fancy toilet! The internet is fast enough during most times of the day to remain connected and to stream shows or play video games with minimal disruption. The staff's customer service is exceptional, friendly, and helpful.

the front office team all spoke pretty good English and were super accommodating the hotel itself isold, and the room were kind of dated. At dinner, the steak wasn't good and when I asked for desert they said the kitchen is already closed!!!!! Breakfast was underwhelming, no one really spoke English, they had labeled soy sauce wrongly as "balsamic vinegar" which ruined my salad. the location is a little off center too which makes a big difference in horrendous UB traffic. overall good value for money though

My family and I are 7 days into our 21 day quarantine at the Kempinski Hotel and really we couldn't have asked for more support from the hotel staff. They have been very kind and as flexible as they possibly can be in dealing with our request. On our arrival, which was daunting for our children - 7, 4 and 6 months, the hotel staff sent hot chocolate to put room for the children and had set some toys up in the room for the children to play with. A 21 day quarantine is tough, but the Kempinski is doing it's utmost to reduce stress and make the experience as smooth as it can possibly be.

During my stay at the kempinski I am in isolation due to the covid restrictions I have been given a smoking room which has made my stay very comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful they will go above and beyond to make your stay as good as can be considering the situation. I would fully recommend anyone coming to Ulaanbaatar to stay here at the kempinski. Thank you to all the staff I will definitely be back when I return to Mongolia.

I used the hotel for quarantine purpose with my family during special Covid-19 days for 10 days. Meals was delicious and delivered on time and sanitary/room cleaning was a very good. Thanks to Kempinski staff for making our quarantine days as pleasant as possible. There were some delays with meal delivery, but was sorted out quickly by the front desk. The hotel staff has really gone an extra mile to respond to our additional requests. Highly appreciated and recommended.

Recently stayed here for my mandatory 10 days quarantine. It is easy to be bored after being locked in a room for 10 days but my stay was pleasant in spite of this. The staff were very helpful and went to great efforts to ensure my well-being. Small touches such as an orange juice in the afternoon or a bar of chocolate were appreciated and the food overall was fantastic. My room was comfortable, large enough and had some lovely touches. I would highly recommend.

Room service and Housekeeping is just excellent and always timely. With a home away from home set up and service it keeps one in check and not lonely. The current PANDEMIC situation is challenging but being here at the Kempinski Hotel in UB it is just a perfect and excellent experience to be. One can never miss home, as wifi is available and convenient to call Family back at home and have video calls to check and ensure Family are happy. Overall its the best place to be home away from home.

Sorry it took só long - I was in transit. I would ask the very obliging concierge staff At least he hotel for a suggestion - bookstore or stationary near the hotel may have what you are looking for. If time does not allow you to search, ask for a few letterhead sheets from the hotel, fold and staple for note taking! Enjoy your stay
During my visits a selection of tours been provided. What I discover is if you want to hire a driver for a day and visit the Chenggis Khan Monument and Turtle Rock/National Park, you better take a driver from the hotel (english speaking) and they will assist you. If you take a tour from a travel agent the tour will cost you up to USD 300 for one person. The hotel car is more cheaper. I agree with Travel Weary!
