We had a spacious room with twin beds. Complimentary water. Toothbrush, soap, shower cap and shampoo are provided. Of course we were amused that this Korean owned hotel was stocked with gas masks. Comfortable bedding. Sadly on one of our few days there the hotel was without hot water, so no shower. The staff was happy to assist with our bags since there were no ramps to or from where the elevator was located. Depending on your cases, this is not good access. The breakfast buffet was not on par with others I had in Central Asia. Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel.
Very friendly reception staff, with good knowledge of English, which made our arrival a pleasant experience. During our stay the staff was helpful, made several taxi reservations, printed out some necessary docs for the return flight, and overall was very accommodating to any questions/requests. The hotel offered a free airport shuttle (which were waiting with a clear sign), as well as free breakfast and buffet dinner, both with a reasonable choice of food. Room was seriously big, as well as the TV, and was kept clean on a daily basis. Throughout the hotel there were hand-cleaning stations, and staff were wearing face-masks, and social distancing was kept. All were good to see, as Covid is serious in Kyrgyzstan, but in general not taken seriously by people on the streets. Thanks Golden Dragon staff, for a great stay…
Today is my last day of stay in Bishkek which i stayed all in Golden Dragon Hotel. The reception is polite, friendly and helpful🤗. The room is good with excellent Internet quality. It is clean, and the bath is hot😉 I really like this hotel and recommend it to others.
Hotel is apps 30 minutes from the airport a wonderful location and lush green environment, very centraly located. The rooms are spacious but the washrooms need to be redone. very comfortable place, and excellent and helpful staff, The sad part was the breakfast layout, very sad and hardly any choices. Special mention for Ms.Malika at the reception she is extremely professional and very helpful, You should also meet up Ms.Adelina at the bar counter, she will ensure that you are well attended, and may be you can brush up your German with her.
Probably the owner is writing by himself the good notices because this is not a 5 stars hotel. Poor infrastructure, the room is more similar to a 3 stars hotel. Service is not adequate while the breakfast is a mix of what it remained in the restaurant the day before and pre-cooked food. For two days there was no place for breakfast (they have only 6 tables in the restaurant) and i was requested to sit together with other guest. I suggest to switch the business in a "stolovoya", more appropriate their habits and customs. Terrible.
This 5 star hotel is really a 3 star one, with no management in existence! We occupied the two largest suites, 502 and 503, mine had a jacuzzi and a sauna. The sauna never worked, the management could not care less. My bed is similar to that in prisons, a hard board with a thin mattresses cover on top. My suite carpet is mouse grey, a reminder of the USSR occupation. The hotel entrance looks like a factory or plant, none a hotel. Luggage must be carried because there is no ramp for trolleys. The breakfast is appalling. I was told dry cleaning is returned same day, to find out that it is contracted outside returning after my departure. The staff could not care less, their attitude beats everything. No return to this prison camp again!!!!
We stayed here for one night two different times during our time in Kyrgyzstan, both at the beginning and the end of our trip. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are quite large. On our second stay, they upgraded us to a suite without asking--nice! The breakfast is very good. Note that you have to go to the lobby area to get espresso-type coffee and you have to ask for omelet and/or eggs, they are not out on the buffet. That makes for an excellent breakfast. Great location very central and very safe.
They provide one military style gas mask in each room, in a cabinet labeled "gas mask" in three languages. I have never seen this amenity in any other hotel in the world. The young women at reception did not know why a gas mask is provided. The only eggs available at breakfast are boiled eggs. There is only instant coffee. It is a nice large room. The WiFi and LAN work well. The TV screen is rather small. The mattress was sagging somewhat. They provide same day laundry service. The bathroom is small.
My family and I were treated to a stay in a Deluxe Suite at the Golden Dragon on a recent trip in Bishkek. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrive, we were escorted into the hotel by a concierge. Immediately you could tell that the hotel was very safe, as the hotel grounds are gated and there was security by the entrance. The concierge who met us at the taxi drop-off area was polite and took our things inside to the registration desk for us. Complete five-star service from the staff, who spoke great English and were very friendly and helpful with our kids (a willy five-year-old and adventurous three-year-old). The premises are very nice, exceeding what we expected and what we've seen elsewhere in the city. The room was very comfortable and SO BIG. The suite had a master bedroom, with a child's bed they'd brought in for the three-year-old, a living space with a massive sectional couch (where the five-year-old slept) and a big screen TV, a kitchenette (although it was more of an actual kitchen, complete with cooking wares) and minibar, and dining space with another massive TV. Not to mention two bathrooms and waiting room. I mean, this place was bigger than our flat back home. Not only was there ample space, but it was comfortable and nicely decorated in, if dated, an art deco style. We had a great night's sleep. In the morning, we loved watching the sunrise light up the mountains from the balcony. We visited the Sauna in the morning and it is massive and very nice. I only wish there had been some oils for the sauna. But that is a small thing. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. Some of them obviously catered to the hotel's Chinese clientele. This was fine with us, as we love Chinese food. But they also had the usual fare you'll see at a breakfast buffet. We unfortunately did not eat at the neighboring restaurant, so we can't speak to that. But taxi drivers all know the hotel and the front desk can help you call a taxi if you haven't installed Yandex or Namba on your phone. They also have a couple of bicycle available for clients. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested staying in Bishkek in luxury. Perhaps the most comfortable way to stay in Bishkek.…
Stayed for 3 nights for our tour of Kyrgyzstan. Room was spacious and had tea/coffee, iron, hair dryer, water, even had a prayer mat (sejadah). Shower was great. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was good. Has an atm machine should you ned to withdraw some cash. The only disadvantage is the location is a bit out of the way - can’t really walk and explore Bishkek at night. Need to take a taxi out. Otherwise, it’s a good place to stay.
