During our recent trip to Hanoi, my partner and I had initially planned to dine at another restaurant. However, due to heavy rain and the unavailability of taxis, we found ourselves stranded without a way to reach our reserved destination. Thankfully, Mr. Richard, who went above and beyond to assist us with various transportation options, recommended the in-house restaurant at Aurora Hotel.
Despite our last-minute arrival, we were warmly welcomed and managed to secure a table at the nearly fully booked restaurant. To our surprise, the staff had beautifully prepared the table for a birthday celebration and an engagement. The attention to detail and the ambiance created a truly special atmosphere.
The menu offered a choice between à la carte options and set menus, allowing us to select dishes that suited our preferences. The presentation and taste of the food were exceptional, as evident from the accompanying pictures. Each dish was a delightful combination of flavors, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
We cannot express enough gratitude to the staff at Aurora Hotel and Spa's restaurant for turning what could have been a disappointing evening into a memorable one. Their exceptional service and attention to detail made us feel valued and appreciated.

Based on reviews and location (old quarter) I decided to walk into the Delicacy Hotel and experience first hand without a booking. From the moment I walked through, having the door opened by a friendly doorman, I was welcomed and treated like I was someone special. I was given a better rate that was provided from online booking sites. During my stay I booked the Lake View Room and the Deluxe Room.. Both rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, the Lake View Room was amazing with an incredible window top to bottom looking out onto Hanoi, it was hard to leave. The beds were extremely comfortable with clean fresh linen, the marble bathroom was spotless. The restaurant has an amazing lookout looking out above Hanoi and the buffet breakfast had a great selection whilst the staff where continuously smiling, happy and quick on removing empty plates. The beauty salon- Deli Spa was heaven and I used daily- I had massages and facials and still to this day the best II have ever had.Jessie at the front desk was so kind and helpful in explaining the different treatments on offer. Thank you Jessie! The staff truly made my stay perfect! Especially Sophie and Iris, thank you. Sophia went above and beyond with all my requests and assistance on planing activities, where to eat and shop. Iris was so friendly and constantly helping and smiling and even walked me to a local eatery at her high recommendation, which was delicious! I made friends for life with meeting these two and truly complete the level of service to this hotel. I retuned twice to this hotel during my travels through Vietnam in December/January and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone and I would stay again next visit and English is spoken within the staff and I never has an issue. Thank you again Delicacy Hotel for making my stay in Hanoi perfect and treating me like a Princess, you spoilt me!

During our most recent trip to Vietnam, we stayed in five different accommodations throughout the country (including the nearby JW Marriott in Hanoi), and Delicacy Central Hotel & Spa was by far our favorite and a head above the rest. With an ideal location near Hoan Kiem lake, an incredible rooftop restaurant and bar (amazing phở for breakfast), on-site spa services, and the best service we experienced during the entire trip, this is definitely a hotel we’ll be returning to in the future. We are very grateful to Sophia, Linh, Jessie, and all of the wonderful staff at Delicacy Central for making our stay so enjoyable and for thinking of everything they could do to make our stay comfortable. This hotel was certainly one of the best values in all of Hanoi, if not all of Vietnam, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

So my sister and I stayed in Delicacy Hotel for one night and from the moment we checked in with Linh and her team we were treated like royalty. We were upgraded, served fresh fruit, a damp cloth and some sweet tea. We had an amazing experience with all the staff in the hotel including Emily in the restaurant who took care of us for lunch. The staff for breakfast were very accommodating to my sister and her Vegan wishes. We were allowed to leave our luggage until our late departure the next evening just after we got advantage of the spa, where we enjoyed a lovely massage, facial and a refreshing shower before I boarded the long flight. I would hand on heart recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were friendly, personal, accommodating and very helpful. Please visit it, I promise it wouldn't disappoint.

Aurora’s location is excellent for anyone coming to Hanoi who will primarily be exploring the Old Quarter. Day trips and excursions find the hotel with ease. It’s a piece of cake to find a scooter if you need a lift. You’re around the corner from a Circle K in the event that you need to restock on water or forgot some toiletries at home. There is a killer coffee shop across the street (Hanoi Coffee Station) and you’re a walk of 5-10 minutes from the tranquility of the lake or the party atmosphere of the Bia Hoi shops without having to live right on top of it.
The staff at Aurora were super helpful. They were attentive to whatever requests I had. I also loved that I was able to do a late checkout as late as 5:00 PM for half the room rate. With a departing flight at 11:30 PM and 25+ hours of travel to follow, I would have hated having my last shower at 10:00 or 11:00 AM. Their ability to accommodate this meant that I could really use my last day in Hanoi to take advantage of all it had to offer. The views from the rooftop deck are sweet and I enjoyed using it during the day as well as at night. I used the laundry service while here, too, and clothes I gave around 1:00 PM on Friday were back in my hands and perfectly folded by 7:00 AM the next day. There is no shortage of competition for accommodation in the Old Quarter. You can’t go wrong with Aurora, though. When I go back to Hanoi, they are where I will stay.
One note. Trip Advisor is asking me if this is a budget, mid-range, or luxury hotel. I’m not sure what to say. It’s a very nice hotel with many of the trappings of a luxury hotel (such as a spa), but with the USD exchange rate, it’s also pretty budget-friendly. I met people who were renting private rooms in hostels and were paying close to what I paid to stay at Aurora and they had way fewer amenities.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I stayed at another hotel in the Old Quarter that was a similar price and the two don't compare at all. Although the price was about the same, this hotel feels 2 or 3 stars better. Check in was quick and I was greeted with a welcome drink and towel. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and shower was excellent. The breakfast was in the restaurant on the 11th floor with a nice view of the city and lake. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was appreciated. Upon discovering I was leaving the next morning to catch an early flight, one of the staff (Wendy) told me they would prepare a breakfast box and coffee for me, even though the kitchen would be closed at that time. I've travelled a lot and only see this kind of service in the most expensive hotels. This place is great value for money, excellent service, and the location is close to everything you need. Highly recommend staying here, even if it costs $20 more than neighbouring budget hotels. It's worth it.

Staying at Delicacy Central Hotel & Spa added to our first time experience in Vietnam in the best way possible. Nothing feels better coming back to a clean and spotless room after a long day of walking and exploring. The hotel includes free fast wifi, international outlets (no need for adaptors) and free delicious breakfast. The location is great as it's close to Hoan Kiem Lake and many good restaurants and cafes are around the neighbourhood, which the staff were more than happy to recommend to us. Great location, functioning utilities, delicious food, friendly staff, clean rooms-- excellent hotel !

We could not have been happier with the Delicacy Central Hotel and Spa. Our room was exquisite, very clean and we loved the extremely comfortable bed and plush pillows. Wifi works well and is free. Bathroom is sparkling clean with black marble tiles and lovely products to use. The amenities all work well and the initial and ongoing presentation of this property is very high quality. The hotel is in a perfect location to experience the Old Quarter and the Lake on foot. The famous Beer Corner and Walking Street markets and Night Market are very close by. There is an amazing Roof Top bar with panoramic views of Hanoi City. Take advantage of the Happy Hour from 4:30-7:00 pm. Breakfast - oh the freshest baguettes and freshly cooked pancakes and omelettes by request. Plenty of variety with fresh fruit and hot dishes. There is even a glass fridge with individual glass bottles of fruit juices produced by the hotel. Not the glass store bought variety either. Restaurant in encased by floor to ceiling windows on the 11th floor and also offers such a beautiful view of the surrounds. We were warmly greeted each time by every member of staff we saw. Special thanks must go to Sophia who is the Front Office Manager. We spoke with Sophia every day as she would come up and greet us by name. Such awesome hospitality. She would check what we were doing for the day and offer numerous suggestions and give local tips and advice. Linh up at the Roof Bar is such a lovely young man, always smiling and is ready to refill your glass without you even having to turn around and ask him - oh and he serves very yummy prawn crackers as well. We will be recommending this property to all of our friends and family and will most definitely return once the COVID hype has settled. We said to each other that we would not bother returning to Ho Chi Minh, rather come and stay in Hanoi again and always with Sophia and her team and the Delicacy Central Hotel and Spa. I took my two young adult sons to Hanoi beginning of the year. After sorted through a handful of chosen hotels and hundred of review, I decided to book two night at the original Delicacy hotel and got upgraded to a large room at this 5 mos. old central hotel.
The hotel is just a step from the old quarter with coffee shops, great restaurants, and small boutique that make up the vibrant colorful and energetic of old town. The room that we were fortunately to stay in was spacious with light pour in from windows that cover from ceiling to floor. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was impressive. However, none of these would mean anything without the personal touch of the hotel staffs. What set this place so different than other 4/ 5 star hotels is the human touch as your name was greed when you come and leave the hotel. The feeling of being cherished from the entire staffs such wonderful and beautiful beings all of them that make our stay so special and Sophia, she is the heart and soul of this place, attentive, diligent and loving.
The hotel is highly recommended and after you have stayed here I guarantee that you will count the days until you come back to Hanoi so you can see them and hear them say "Xin Chao"

Our stay here at Delicacy Central was an amazing and memorable one, thanks to Linh and her team. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Hanoi to stay here.
The location is very convenient, just below our hotel there are many stores to shop around, several convenience stores and many food places to eat. It is about 2 mins walk to the lake. The Old and French Quarter can be explored by foot.
We stayed out at Halong Bay for a night and when we came back, Linh arranged for us to have the same rooms back and also all on the same levels for our convenience. When we stepped into our room, we had a "WELCOME HOME" message which made us feel like home and it was a really nice gesture. Throughout our stay, she always made a point to address all of us by names and also, have small chats with us. We have travelled to many places and stay at many hotels but to receive such a heartwarming service, it is very rare.
We are very impressed with her service and we are very grateful to have the team with us through our stay here. Thank you and well done!❤️
