My husband and I chose the magical country of Vietnam to celebrate our honeymoon and La Siesta in Hanoi was our first stop. And, boy, what a reception! Our room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon and the entire staff knew we were celebrating. Quan, in particular, was our point person from the beginning and he was just incredible. His hospitality is excellent. He's very caring and checks in with you (but not TOO often..just the perfect amount). What I particularly loved is that he messaged us a list of his food and drink recs and they were not touristy at all which is exactly what we were looking for - where to get the best crab noodle soup, where to get the best local egg coffee, banh mi, etc. As previously mentioned, the rooms are impeccably decorated, as is the entire hotel. The terrace (with its own light wrapped tree!) was wonderful for watching the buzz on the streets down below. Since tap water is not potable, we were never in need of bottled water. Housekeeping was always excellent with making sure we were fully stocked. Room service is excellent. The restaurant on the 10th floor is absolutely breathtaking. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world. It blows any complimentary breakfast at an American hotel out of the water. Various egg dishes, pho, sushi, fresh fruit, Vietnamese coffee, pastries, fresh juices (my first time having soursop!), all perfectly executed. Try the egg coffee. It's a bougie version of the original and is a really great treat. It was nice seeing the differences between the hotel's version and Cafe Giang's (recommended by Quan!). The rooftop bar is also incredibly beautiful. It was chilly while we were there so we didn't get to spend as much time on the roof as we would've liked but we know if the weather had cooperated a bit more we would've spent quite a few nights up there. Lastly, we got massages at the spa and they were INCREDIBLE. They start with a foot wash and then proceed with the massages. The sound bowl was incredibly soothing. All in all, when we come back we will 100% return to La Siesta Premium Hang Be and stay here. The entire stay was unforgettable, the staff was so wonderful toward us and made us feel so special regarding our honeymoon, you can't beat the location and the rates are worth the quality of this place. An absolute gem!

We were on a girls' trip We booked this hotel due to the great reviews we have read as well as a previous stay at another La Siesta property which we loved. This hotel is situated in the perfect location, short walking distance to everything interesting and we were very happy about the service we got from all the staff particularly Quan. He was like our concierge on call/ via whatsapp. We received a list of foods and food places we should go (his personal favorites) and during our stay, we treated it like a check list and tried to check everything off. We couldn't as we were only there for 3 days but everything he recommended was great and authentic. He also told us where we could go for live jazz, and where to get the best coffee to take home, etc. Breakfast at the hotel was also very nice. You could order from a variety of things, plus there is a buffet spread as well. The rooftop bar was also quite nice though we prefer the view from La Siesta Central just a tad more because of its proximity to the lake. The decor of the hotel was also very tasteful. Our rooms were spacious enough and we especially appreciated that drinking water was in glass bottles and not plastic bottles. The only thing we would recommend would be to use refillable dispensers for toiletries instead of those small toiletry bottles.. which is quite wasteful. Otherwise, a super enjoyable stay and we would recommend everyone to stay here. :)

What a wonderful discovery. Location is convenient but the best part is the service by all the staff @ La Siesta Hang Be. They advised me how to find my way around as a solo traveller including being adventurous on a Grab bike :)
I deliberately searched for a luxury boutique hotel that is run by the local Vietnamese and not an international chain which is the same all over the world.
La Siesta HangBe fitted the description and the decor is tastefully furnished with a luxury finish. My room even had a walk in wardrobe where all the luggages can be stored neatly :)
Breakfast is a wide selection and for those early morning set offs they provide a packed breakfast.
Highly recommended. I have been to Hanoi several times and I will surely return for another visit as the Spa in the hotel is also par excellence.

Visited 3 hotels during our stay in Vietnam (including one of the famous VIN hotels) but enjoyed this one the most. I especially liked it for the room, which was clean, modern and well equipped as well as for the nice breakfast, that had enough fresh yogurt, muesli, bread, jams and other toppers to make a Western style breakfast eater very happy. Special thanks to hotel staff Quan, who was even out of the Hotel always available via messenger to crosscheck some places or prices for us.

From the moment we stepped inside from the busy street to the cool interior of this hotel we were impressed. Every single member of staff we encountered was polite and helpful throughout our 3 day stay It is obvious the hotel is extremely well run and organised and the staff clearly pay attention to detail. The rooms are very clean and stylish and the hotel has a classic style of decoration. We had a suite with the balcony looking out onto the bustling street. There is a lovely basket of complimentary fruit every evening Food- a huge variety of foods for breakfast all freshly cooked to order. Service was polite and efficient. The Cloud Nine restaurant was also excellent. I must mention Tiep who is a most helpful member of restaurant staff. He was always around to greet us politely and find us a window table so we could enjoy the views. He was so helpful with recommendations of food and wine. My husband does not like food that is very spicy so this is important to us.The food and wine was excellent quality and price was very reasonable. We ate there for all of the 3 evenings as we were confident of high standards of service and quality. Enjoyed a cocktail in the Sky bar one evening ( chilly due to the season but the staff brought out heaters) I must also mention Mia (front of House)who greeted us initially and was most helpful with any queries throughout our stay. This is actually one of the best all round hotels we have stayed at in Asia. We did not have time to make use of the spa unfortunately. The location is just ideal for exploring but just remember there are 4 other la Siesta's Hotels nearby. We would most definitely return to this hotel if visiting Hanoi again and would highly recommend it.

My wife and I arrived in Hanoi on the 29th December and checked in to the hotel. From the start, the staff were welcoming and warm, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and very well thought out with all the accessories we needed. My wife's birthday was the 30th December and I gave her a card in the morning but we hadn't told the hotel. When we got back to the room, after being out all day with our tour guide, housekeeping had arranged for a beautiful display of rose petals and towels in the shape of elephants to be on the bed - a really lovely touch. We had News Years eve in the hotel and booked a table in the Cloud Nine restaurant. The service was superb as was the meal, a truly memorable evening. I cannot speak too highly of this hotel. We have travelled extensively for over 30 years and look for very high quality at the right price, and La Siesta is now one of our all time top 10 in the world.

My wife and I kicked off our Honeymoon in Vietnam at this hotel for 2 nights and it provided the perfect start to our trip. We were given the surprise of a free room upgrade to a Premium Deluxe Suite for the second night, which had views from the balcony over the street market below and both rooms we had were furnished beautifully. The hotel is situated in the Old Quarter area with Hoan Kiem Lake within a 5 minute walk. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight for us and a must for views over Hanoi as the sun sets with a nice cocktail or mocktail. We stayed at a number of hotels during our stay in Vietnam and would say that this hotel provided one of our favourite breakfasts. Plenty of choice and the attention to detail was exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and accommodated my food allergy to sesame very well by pointing out specifically which dishes were safe for me to eat. We would love to return one day.

Right from the start, service was astounding. Anh Vu, in particular was a shining asset to your company. I thought she was a manager but she let me know she was a trainee. Complete control of all situations, making me feel at ease and calm throughout a fairly hectic schedule. Stayed two nights with an overnight in Cat Ba sandwiched between. Anh was always responsive, gave us her WhatsApp and told us to contact her 24h (I would never do that but it was helpful to get her recommendations and answers to questions). She would always have an eye out for how to make guests feel more comfortable. She would offer to take out empty water bottles, she upgraded our room on our last night, she gave us a send off gift, she helped arrange a last minute tour of the city with excellent guides through the Elegant Hospitality Group. She even checked on me a few times as I was feeling under the weather. She is simply sublime.
This Location is hard to beat. Right in the middle of the bustle of old quarter, yet a quiet oasis. Quick walk to the nearby famous lake and lots of little shopping areas nearby. Did a walking food tour which I highly recommend. I have a particularly sensitive stomach but I actually did fine on the tour, although it was reassuring to know the hotel was just a few minutes walk away the whole time.
Loved the design and decorating. Modern and comfortable. Rooftop bar has amazing sunset views with charming Vietnamese hanging lanterns. Just gorgeous.

My wife stayed here for three nights at the end of a month long trip around SE Asia.
We stayed in numerous hotels, some more expensive and some less so, but this hotel will always be remembered fondly.
It has a wonderful location, central to the 'exotic life' of the Old Quarter yet, as you walk through the doors you're met with a calming, stylish and incredibly welcoming peace.
The hotel is rated 3* because it doesn't have a swimming pool but, believe me, in every other way it could /should be rated 4* plus plus, as an incredible boutique hotel. Personally, I don't like the over the top opulence of some five star hotels where you're sometimes not relaxed or comfortable. This is a very high quality at a very reasonable price. Incredible value for money.
It has stylish, comfortable bedrooms, a great restaurant, Cloud Nine (reviewed separately), an excellent rooftop bar, Lighthouse Sky bar (reviewed separately) and a highly rated spa.
What makes the real difference, however, is the professionalism and genuine friendliness of the exceptional staff. We've stayed in some other wonderful hotels on this trip and enjoyed excellent service throughout but the staff here were the best. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
I almost feel bad for nominating anyone as exceptional as, without exception, they were all so good but Amber and, particularly, Huyen, in Cloud Nine Restaurant went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. From our fist meeting we were treated as though the only thing that mattered to them was our total enjoyment and their apparent delight when we chose to return for our final meal in Asia was something my wife and I will treasure.
If you're considering a stay in Hanoi then I'd look no further. I highly, highly recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat.

By far, the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam! Starting with the best can be tough, because for the rest of the trip we were thinking of La Siesta :) The staff, location, cleanliness, quality of the rooms, the spa and excellent breakfast buffet were so memorable for my husband and me!
The staff is superb and personable, and Anh and Quan from the concierge desk even contacted me thru WhatsApp so I could communicate directly with them while about in the city. With their contact info, I was able to easily ask various questions, got sent trip guides and food recommendations, and had transportation arranged quickly within a few minutes for us. It was such a personal touch that I have not experienced from any other hotel concierge team.
The location was awesome- right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We only had to walk a few blocks to reach amazing food, and loved the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood, and even more so returning to the peaceful calm of La Siesta.
We stayed in the junior suite, which was superbly clean and well stocked with all the necessary toiletries. I liked the hotel so much that I booked for our last night when we returned from traveling elsewhere in Vietnam. Anh and the staff were so kind in upgrading us to the penthouse for the last night!
The breakfast buffet was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at, with both buffet and menu options (you can do both!). The spa was AMAZING. You must try it, especially with the morning happy hour, it comes out to a very reasonable price for the quality of massage services they provide.
Overall, a DEFINITE recommendation (seriously best hotel I’ve stayed at because of the staff) and I will for sure be staying here when I return to Hanoi!
