We arrived here late morning on Christmas Day. When I first arrived and found out this was a hostel I was very unimpressed with our tour company that told me there was no hostels along the way. Even standing in the lobby I figured I would check out the room and most likely go find my own hotel. Well room 701 is one of the nicest room we have stayed in well on our 36 day vacation. Don’t get me wrong most of the other rooms are half the size. You can only imagine how snobby I felt. Good thing I didn't say any of it out loud. Room 701 is a large spacious corner room with a king bed. Lots of pillows, really nice bedding, medium firm mattress. The bathroom had a large tub with a rain fall shower. I couldn’t be happier! they had shampoo/conditioner in one and body wash. The hotel also offered free water and other snacks in the room as well as other free stuff upon request (see picture). By the sounds of it they can also add a single bed to the room if you are traveling with a group of 3. It was very clean and did not smell molding like most of the other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. Reception was always very friendly and helpful. Always greeted us when we came in and asked us how our day has been. There was a small restaurant on site as well as a travel desk that can help you book anything going anywhere. They booked our tickets to the Water Puppet show and got us great seats! The Hostel is in a good location on a small but busy alley. It is close to the lake and the hop on/off bus starting point. Also walking distance to a lot of attractions! Lots of restaurants on the same alley. The smaller rooms (my in-laws had) was kinda squishy. It had a queen bed with the same bedding. Bathroom was a lot smaller and had a very small awkward corner tub that maybe a kid could fit in. Hostel has 7 floors and has 1 elevator that can hold about 4 people with suitcases at one time. I would recommend staying here but booking a larger room for more comfort.

We really enjoyed our stay. Before we arrived Ms Lisa was incredibly helpful in giving us guidance on a trip to Bai Tu Long Bay and communication with the hotel via email was really quick both from England and when in Vietnam whenever we had any questions. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff at the hotel couldn’t have done enough to make us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and offered free tea and coffee. It was evening when we arrived from England and the lovely lady who was on reception offered to order us food in if we were too tired to go out, she also gave us lots of information on trips and travel that could be organised through the hotel. The hotel is based in a great spot for exploring Hanoi and there are lots of reasonably priced places to eat and drink near by.

Staff were amazing, so helpful and kind, genuinely interested in each guest. Breakfast was really good, big menu to choose from plus buffet drinks, fruit, cake, yogurt etc. Location was perfect, in the heart of the old quarter with so many restaurants and shops all around. Most attractions are in walking distance, if not it's easy to get a Grab or taxi. Room was nice, fair size, all amenities good. Bathroom also good. Very clean, fresh towels every day. We ended up extending our stay and they were more than happy to help with booking taxis etc. They also offer tours and day trips if you're interested. 100% recommend! There was a fairly big mould problem on the outside-facing wall of our room, so obviously it was fairly damp. Didn't bother us but may bother others if you're more sensitive to damp! A/C didn't have a heat function, it was a little chilly and would've been nice to warm the room a little bit Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return here if we ever go back to Hanoi!
