Beautiful and Clean hotel with lots of food to choose from at Breakfast, attentive staff who go out of their way to make sure you are happy!!! Stunning hotel. Beautiful Pool evening meal was very good too
What an amazing welcome we received at Melia Hanoi, the staff made some very special touches to our room on arrival after long journey from the UK. Room was absolutely lovely with I think the comfiest bed I have slept in, complete with pillow menu ! Amazing location less than 10 minute walk from Hoan Kiem lake, then you can just wander into the amazing old Quarter. Great breakfast choice and super friendly staff, so glad our honeymoon itinerary from Trailfinders included this luxury stay.
This is a very clean hotel in a good location. It is primarily a business hotel but tourists like my wife and I were made very welcome. Very good staff, who are courteous and welcoming. Rooms are we appointed, clean and spacious. There is a good bar in the lobby for a weary sightseer at the end of the day.
A large hotel, well situated in Hanoi. Plenty of local restaurants and even more interesting Old Quarter nearby. Lovely shops to browse around too! Very near the beautiful lake and also the "Hanoi Hilton" prison, which was very interesting to look around. A visit to the water puppets theatre is a must! Excellent breakfast and very comfortable room.
We couldn't have chosen better accommodation in Hanoi. We stayed at a Premium level room for 3 nights in February 2023. The location of the hotel is perfect, near the old quarter (15 minute's walk) but in a quiet area. All the staff are incredibly kind, professional and eager to satisfy any of your requirements. The hotel rooms are spacious with super comfortable beds and a dreamy choice of pillows. We would like to thank the people working in the level lounge, specially Anh and of course the hotel manager, Santiago Cabré. Everything was perfect. You made us feel at home.
The Melia Hanoi Hotel is located in an upmarket area of Hanoi. Perhaps, an ideal choice for business travelers. We wanted to stay close to the Old Quarters, but we were forced to stay here as the hotel we wanted to stay in was sold out. Melia Hanoi is a 5 star property. Unfortunately, I have not toured the hotel to know what all it offers. Our days were packed, and we just came in to crash late in the night. I found the room pretty small. Everything that we wanted in a room was there, but I felt that they tried too many things in a single small room. (3/5) The breakfast buffet was super duper good. But again, one would expect that out of a 5 star service provider. (5/5) Check-in & Checkout was easy (5/5).
Got one of the worst experiences ever with the airport transfer service as well as check-in routine. However, Quynh and everyone in the lounge managed to win us back with their nothing less than spectacular hospitality. During our 3 night stay, Quynh and her colleagues always went above and beyond to ensure we had a blast without any other hiccup. The room is recently renovated so it looks a lot better than before. A bit noisy during the day due to the nearby construction but was fine at night. Look forward to be back soon!
Really nice hotel! The rooms were spacious and clean. All staff we encountered were always happy and helpful. In terms of location we were away from the main hustle and bustle area (being the old quarter) so we didn't venture out as much as we would have liked. The gym was really good and very well equipped - when we left we noticed there was a gym charge on the invoice so I don't think it's free(?), it wasn't much anyways. I'm also not sure how they charge as there wasn't always someone at the desk so we saw other guests come in without giving their room no. etc. The pool area looked a bit sad, not as glamorous as advertised. They also hold events/meetings at this hotel so the lift/lobby/arrival area can be busy at times. Breakfast was amazing - endless options, you will not get bored. …
Stayed here on 2 occasions during our holiday in Vietnam. Hotel is in great location, easy walking distance to lake and Old Quarter. Room……bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean, shower had plenty of pressure. Room itself was serviced daily. The breakfast……WOW! So much beautiful food to choose from. It was hard to not overeat, wanted to try everything. Staff…..could not fault the staff in anyway. Every staff member was extremely friendly and always willing to assist. Thank you to all at Melia to making our stay in Hanoi so enjoyable.
You may encounter some temporary inconvenience as the Meliá Hanoi restaurants are undergoing major renovation till the end of April 2023. Having had in mind to enjoy a bit of art deco touch in the Cava Lounge I felt a bit disappointed on arrival. But as renovation work is essential and there was no noise to complain about during nighttime this will not have a negative impact on my review... We spent 5 nights in a Grand Premium Room or rather "suite" as you may easily call a 68 m2 accommodation with separate living and bedroom, bathroom next to the bedroom plus aditional toilet next to the living room, and a connecting corridor with coffee making facilities and the like. The spacious and pleasantly refurbished room(s) in the corner of one of the upper floors had three huge panoramic windows with a nice view. The elegant marble bathroom had a tub plus spacious rain shower. Fluffy towels and firm mattresses added to our comfort. Breakfast had been moved to one of the meeting rooms for the time being. Though this may have resulted in a bit more "physical closeness" the variety and quality, in particular of the Asian section, had not suffered. The hotel is at walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake and the French Quarter and even closer to the Cathedral and the Old Town. We enjoyed very much being exposed to the everyday hustle and bustle of Hanoi as soon as we turned to the right or left after having left the hotel. Staff was polite and professional. I liked coming back to the two smiling ladies awaiting the guests in front of the hotel in their traditional outfit... …
