No elevator, very bare bones, beds are wildly uncomfortable, worst hostel/hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. Staff is nice but very pushy about rebooking. It doesn’t feel very safe as the entrance is wide open on the street. Otherwise clean and good location if you’re in a pinch.

We spent 4 days here over the space a week and a half—we were traveling to other cities and this was our base. We were a family of 3. Our rooms were big. Lots of natural light. AC. Nice bathroom. Clean. Big breakfast (included) James was very accommodating. Kept our bags for two days when we just needed day packs for a trekking trip in Sapa. Very convenient to all we wanted to do in the Old Quarter. Was able to arrange car travel to and from airport. About the same cost as Grab but we used it a couple of times when it was more convenient than Grab. Granted, we only stayed in this hostel in Hanoi so we can’t compare it but I find it hard to believe others wouldn’t be very satisfied to stay here.

Had a great stay here, they helped me relocate a lost hat in ha long bay, have a place to change before a overnight bus to Ha Giang, and get taxi to the airport. The beds were fine and fairly inexpensive but the location is incredible.

Really enjoyable stay, the staff were very helpful and polite, James was great for advice around the city and organising tours, would recommend if first time in Hanoi. Location was really good for seeing the tourist spots and the dorms were an enjoyable stay.

James was a very helpful man who helped us out the situation of a overbooked room. We arrived at 2 am and Luxury Backpackers overbooked the room. He arranged for us another hotel which was close, so we were still able to sleep in the night. Thank you very much James!

Everything was great, I stayed in a single room and it was well organized and clean. The people working at the front desk were helpful, Alex was doing a good job by giving advises. Hotel’s location was also good as it was close to many of the highlights. Overall it was a good stay 👍
