Their is two things they need to address one there communication when you email them certain needs to improve second thing is the Breakfast as a there was plenty of Asian Food to chose but western was a bit on the lacking side given it is suppose to be 4 star.
As we have stayed in plenty of hotels over the years in Asia this Resort could do a lot when it comes to Service and Food.
On our stay over the five days I think we got a hello out of no of the staff, one thing that most Asian Hotels and resort are good at.
If you said would I stay here again I would but on the same time I would also look to see what is on offer else where before making my final choice.
Customer service of this hotel is terrible. Our sheets got dirty from sunscreen and housekeeper left dirty sheets on our tabble in our room. We thought that housekeeper had forgotten them. Next day there was hand written paper on sheets, where was ammount of 2000baht. Receptionist says that we could get sheets washed ourselves at laundry service and then we have not to pay them. And so we did, and sheets were better and cleanier than other sheets at the hotel (there was broken sheets and towels). We still had to pay 2000baht. This was worst experience of customer service we ever had in Thailand. Thats why we dont recommend this hotel to anybody. They find a way to get ypur money. Maybe they have to check their room prices so they do not have to charge for nothing.
Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was ok.
The beach was nicer than Jomtien or Pattaya with lots of trees for shade. Not real handy to public transport but 15 minute walk to the beach road.
Looking forward to staying again soon.
The check in staff is efficient, room is spacious and pools are large and nice. That's all.
The bathroom is fitted with separate shower and bathtub. As I prefer shower so I at first had shower in the shower stand but immediately realized that no matter what temperature I set the water is super hot, also there's water pressure problem so I could not even throughly rinse my hair. Then I gave up and switch to take shower at the bathtub where water pressure is slightly (just slightly) better but no curtained is installed, so I had to sit in the bathtub to take shower with minimize movement to avoid water being splashed out onto the floor. My husband suggested me to request a change of room but I just didn't bother to do so. I didn't want to trouble the staffs late at time.
Next day I had shower in the bathtub again, the water pressure problem got even worse. Not only the water is slow, but the temperature kept changing every 5-10 seconds, so it's cold in this 5-sec and burning hot in the next 5. Ok, I still didn't want to bother the staffs as we could tell they were not so friendly and helpful during our visits in the restaurant and swimming pool.
At night time, the water pressure and temperature problem got even more unstable causing my husband's neck got burnt by the hot water. This time we told ourselves: enough is enough, we must ask them to fix this problem.
After I told the reception of the shower problem, she sent a guy, then a lady, then another lady to our room to check and the acknowledged the problem but was unable to fix it. I asked them if the other rooms Hv the same problem and they said no, so I called to reception and requested to change to another same grading room.
A lady and a guy came up to our room and showed us to another room, we went in and found that the water pressure was also v poor, I asked the lady if there's any other rooms with better water pressure and she ignored me and kept talking to the guy who came with her in thai. Though I do not understand thai, I could feel that they were complaining of our request. I told her I'm not trying to be mean but my husband was burnt by hot water from shower due to their poor water pressure, it's not only about well being but about safety. The guy then turned to my husband and said,' all the rooms have this problem. it's hot outside, take cold shower.' After that he left with a long face. Eventually, we stayed in our original and the problem of our room left unsolved.
I can't imagine staffs of a 4-stars hotel could be so rude. I hv stayed in many kinds of hotels, resorts, apartments and bnb in my past few decades during holidays and I hv always tried to be thoughtful to the staffs as I was also working in customer service industry. Yet, as a hotel guest, I feel like I'm here to beg them for a service which they should hv provided all along. How awful it feels to hv spent money and get all these in return!
With this experience, not only I will not stay in this hotel again, I will also not to choose any local managed hotels again in the future.
Good: the hotel itself is new and the rooms are large and clean
Bad: The pool is massive but was dirty with a lot of leaves and stuff floating about, it would not have taken a lot of effort to sort this out and it lets down the whole hotel really
The staff at the pool are not helpful and don't appear to want to actually do any work, if you want anything from the bar pool bar you need to track someone down
The lower level pool bar was closed and the two water slides are pretty much unusable and a bit pointless really
The chairs and umbrellas are left covered and it is left to the guests to unpack the chairs and put up the umbrella's themselves
Breakfast was poor quality and even though there are loads of staff hanging around doing nothing my used plate was left on the table when I went to get some more food as the first choice was cold and not very nice
On check out I was left standing around for 10 minutes why the room staff checked the room I was then presented with a bill of Baht 390 for a broken ashtray 2 small bottles of beer and a bag of crisps, I explained that I did not smoke and that we had broken nothing in the room but this was ignored
In conclusion I would not return to this hotel or recommend it, it is a shame really as the property itself is nice and the pool is huge but it is badly let down by poor service and general lack of attention to detail, for about the same money in the same part of town you can stay at the Ravindra which is a much better experience all around
