I have decided to book this hotel because it has good reviews and has a very convenient location. Unfortunately, it was not as good as what I expected, esp the service.

First, I came there a day before to leave some of my luggage as I was staying at an airbnb in bangna at that time and i dont want to be carrying lots of luggage when I check in the following day. They agreed but charged me 50 baht (im surprised because other hotels in bangkok would do that for free even if you leave ur luggage for days for as long as you are a guest)

Secondly, they DON'T give free water, which is also surprising. I've been staying at various hotels around the world and it's the first time I heard of a hotel that dont give free water to guests, even a single glass of water! They said they sell it for 15 baht, then I said okay send me one in my room please. But they wont do that! Instead they ask me to go down to the lobby and buy the water there myself! lol

Third,I requested to extend my stay until 2pm and I said I would be willing to pay for it. My flight is at midnight and I would love to be able to rest a bit. So they agreed and charged me 200 baht. But at 12 noon, my sleep was interrupted by a loud beep and then my electricity got cut off! lol It defeats the purpose why I paid for an extension of my stay.

The room would have been okay for me even though it's small. I find it clean and comfortable plus the location is perfect. But the service definitely needs to be improved!

I am staying in Thailand for a while, travelling around and using Bangkok as a central point. This is my third hotel in Bangkok within a month. The room was very small. Smallest one I have had! I am slim as well, one person. I kept falling over my suitcase! The positives, very clean, hot water, friendly staff, air conditioning, central location near public transport with shopping, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel is located on a side street but it is very safe. I walked it alone late at night a few times. This is the first hotel travelling to different parts of Thailand that did not give complimentary water. Very surprising and they need to do this. Annoying. I am not sure if they do offer breakfast as I never bother with it anyway. There is a security guard outside the hotel in the evening, plus you must have a key card to use the lifts (stops anyone from entering the premises). Rooms were just too small and basic for me. Reminded me of a Travelodge. There is no fridge in the room either. If your going to be out all the time like I was and just coming back to sleep and shower, then fine. Cheap and cheerful, clean, nice staff and a good location. If you want something more luxurious, then move to one of the 4 or 5 star hotels nearby. I am going to the beach for a few days and will then come back to another hotel in Bangkok (4 star). I need a bit more luxury and a bigger room! Wifi is hit and miss but this appears to be a common problem in Bangkok.

Positives:
Excellent location, just a two minute walk to BTS Asok.
Quiet street.
Room has a safe, TV and soap/shampoo.
A/C and cieling fan in room.
Friendly staff.

Negatives:
Small rooms.
Outlets don’t always work, they seem to be loose.
Fan makes a loud screeching noise.
AC seems to shut off every half hour or so and then comes back on.

The hotel is very minimalist and is therefore suited for short stays of a day or two. The location is its biggest advantage.
I would stay there again at the right price ($20 or under is a fair amount).

I cannot speak highly enough of the front desk staff and, in particular, the front security/door staff. They're all a credit to the brand, and were extremely polite, courteous and helpful during my stay there.

I've stayed at Red Planet in Pattaya before, so I knew what to expect from the amenities.
It's my favourite budget hotel: clean, bright rooms, fantastic shower, and good WiFi connection.

Only drawback about Asoke is the hollowness of the walls. I stayed on the second floor, and I heard every movement from the rooms beside and above me, not to mention the chatter from the corridor outside. If you're not a deep sleeper, you may want to consider this first.

Aside from that, the location, price and staff are huge plus points 😊

Been staying many times at this hotel. The location is great. Very near and about 5 mins walk to terminal 21 and Asoke BTS. The rooms are well kept and very clean. As it’s a budget hotel, they only have body wash in the room. You will need to bring your own toiletries and buy your own drinking water. No issue for that as you can easily get all these at the 7/11 nearby. If you are out most of the time during your visit and only needed the room for bath & sleep, this hotel is the perfect place

The hotel room is small, no wardrobe but just a hanger for you to hang clothing, They provide a very small foldable table. The hotel neither has a restaurant nor coffee shop When I booked my air ticket & hotel via AA it comes with breakfast but the breakfast was served in the form of packed food. This is my first time experience hotel with breakfast like that.

The most 'budget' hotel that I have stayed before. Expect the least so you don't get disappointment. Basic amenities like water bottles, toothbrush & toothpaste are not provided. There is no water dispenser as well so you gonna get drinks/food from outside. Pillows are too soft so you might want to bring your own as well. Oh, the sound proof of the room is pretty bad also - I could hear someone snoring from next door or upper/lower stairs.

I stayed at Red Planet when I first arrived in Bangkok and before my flight back. It's in a great central area. It's easy to get to from BKK. Just needed to take the airport line to Makkasan, then transfer to MRT and take one stop to Sukhumvit. Then it's a short 3 min walk from the MRT station to Red Planet. The Asoke BTS is also there, so the hotel has close location to both BTS and MRT. You can take those to all the good areas around Bangkok which are only a stop or two away.

The rooms at the hotel were basic, simple and clean. No bottled water but they have a water machine downstairs u can fill up in your bottles. Bed, ac, ceiling fan and shower were all great. I had one night with a noisy neighbor but the rest of my nights were silent. Stayed 4 nights total.

I don't spend much time in the hotel room. So it was perfect location for me to explore Bangkok. Nice room to just come back to, shower and sleep.

Conveniently located in front of Terminal 21, you can get on both BTS and MRT without needing to change trains. Lots of convenience stores nearby. Room itself is small but comfortable nonetheless. Price is very affordable as well.
