What an absolutely beautiful hotel in a great area. There’s a lot of different shops within walking distance along with restaurants. The hotel itself is brand new and very well-maintained. The rooms are in excellent condition and the beds are even better. I would highly recommend this hotel, if you were in the area.

We recently stayed in this hotel for one night while we attended a concert in Des Moines. The hotels looks new and everything was nice and clean. The room set-up was great for our family of 3. I loved the fact there was a mirror and place to get ready outside of the bathroom as it allowed two of us to do hair and make-up at the same time. The room had a great kitchen area which would have come in handy if we were staying for a longer period of time. The only thing I would say we were all disappointed in was the breakfast. My husband and daughter were disappointed there was no pancake or waffle option. I had a bagel, which was SO dry and also a prepackaged breakfast sandwich. After the sandwich, I was not feeling well all day. This is one area the hotel could do so much better, but it would not cause me to not choose this hotel. The hotel is situated in a little "downtown" area that has several boutique stores and restaurants, it is really cute and a great area.…

Such a wonderful staff at this location which makes the stay even more enjoyable! I brought my son here for a long term stay. Ramona, the Front Desk Supervisor, was superb. She is very enthusiastic about this location and offered great details about the area in general. This hotel is very modern and located in a beautiful area with lots of restaurants/attractions within walking distance. Keep up the great work! Mrs. Williams

I started my long term stay at this Residence Inn in Ankeny, Iowa in May 2021. From the beginning I knew it was going to be a good place to stay. The hotel is only two years old and it is in an up and growing new area. They called this area the “District”and it has many restaurants within a two block walking distance. All of the hotel staff are very friendly from the Gen Mgr Suzie, Asst Gen Mgr John, Front Desk Staff of Ramona, Misty, Katie, Lexi and the Kitchen Staff Ginny and Emily along with the Room Service staff lead by Cody all make you feel at home when you are away from home. Thumbs up to this staff.

The staff was so accommodating. Ramona at front desk went out of her way to be helpful. The party room was a great place to hold our grandson’s first birthday party. We stayed two nights. The rooms were spotless. The breakfast each day was great. Can’t wait to stay there again!

We have stayed here several times. On our last visit, there was no maid service during our stay. The shower also is down to a trickle and was either scalding hot or cold. The hallways are a little banged up. That said, this is still the best place to stay in Ankeny, but the competition is weak.

We are Marriott Gold Elite members and stay at Marriott all the time and were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We stayed 5 nights with our family for a wedding. The hotel itself is new and clean but service & staff left a lot to be desired. At check in we didn’t arrive until 11pm and when we called a couple days before they asked if we would like the pullout bed ready for us because we were checking in late. When we arrived they hadn’t pulled down the bed and there wasn’t even bedding in the room. Apparently they don’t clean or refresh rooms at all anymore so when you we ran out of toilet paper or towels we had to go down to the front desk to get them. (Because they didn’t have any extra staff to bring them to us). Coffee is up at the front desk and they have to serve it. The problem with that was they were always in the back room each time we came up so we would wait for them and then someone else would come up and they would tell us to wait. The female front desk agents were just extremely rude. There were 2 males that were helpful and nice but the females were all horrible and should not be working for Marriott in our opinion. We would not stay here again ever.…

We just stayed one night and stayed on the top floor per our request because it was the weekend and the hotel was filled with kids. It’s a nice suite and it was quiet. We didn’t hear street noise, which is one of my top priorities. The one negative was the refrigerator was filled with left behind food, about 20 containers of half eaten takeout. Housekeeping clearly doesn’t have an inspection system in place. We didn’t go to breakfast but they said they had 20 items available. Nice hotel.

Sarah at the front desk demonstrated levels of professionalism, customer service, and kindness that were beyond compare. I came in under unusual circumstances and she not only showed me compassion on a personal level but made sure I knew of all business in the area that may make my night more enjoyable. I was greeted by Sarah with a smile and a conversation each time I came and went. To say I felt welcome is an understatement.
