I come to the metro several times a month for work. I stay at the Sleep Inn Ankeny nearly every time. Why? Because the staff are the best! Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable! It’s a very convenient location right off I35 and close to many restaurants and shopping! GREAT STAY 100% of the time! ~Lori~

Unfortunately, PYB makes us book hotel rooms for tournaments thru them only to find out that they are up charging parents 30% on rooms and requiring 2 nights stay no matter when your team plays. This IS NOT a team friendly hotel! They are not accommodating to teams coming and going with tournament schedules. The staff and General Manager are unfriendly and unprofessional showing a true lack of training. Trust me, book another hotel vs this one.

We booked 17 rooms for a local conference at the Sleep Inn in Ankeny. 2 of these rooms smelled of mold and were damp. Upon request to move rooms we were not told we would not only pay for the moldy/musty smelling rooms we also paid for the room our staff moved to. The Manager was present and was not workable and refused to make sense ofcthis situation. She reported she did not smell the rooms. She stated that we didn't move rooms until late and therefore there was no time to clean. Overall very poor customer service. Would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel appeared newer or remodeled. Room was clean and updated. Hotel allowed us to do a late checkout which worked well for our schedule so that was awesome. Only two negatives...hotel needs to invest in some new towels. Towels looked cheap and were thin. Also seems we paid same price but no real breakfast. Price should drop if we’re not getting breakfast as hotel is saving money on those expenses.

Room 306 Covid-19 safety practices in place and used. Efficient, friendly and accommodating check in by Jolene. Newer Sleep Inn, our second stay at this location this year. Clean room, comfortable beds with plenty of pillow choices. Good restful sleep. Spacious bathroom plenty of counter space, good water pressure, slow drain reported to Kelly at checkout. Towels slightly rough but absorbent. Coffee in lobby and in room coffee maker too. Both fitness room and pool open. Pool too cold to use. Fitness center limited to one person or family at a time. Hand sanitizer and wipes for equipment provided. Breakfast offered no protein selections other than yogurt. Cold cereal, selection of bread and danish, bananas and a juice machine. Lobby dining available.

This was a nice place to stay in. Our room was very comfortable, clean and convenient. This hotel is hidden a bit behind others, but it is one of the first to be seen from the highway. We also went swimming. The water is salt, and it was very cold at first. But it gave our family the perfect place to swim and play together. Breakfast was served in its regular place, but all food was packaged. Since you could pour your own milk and juice, they were able to give a lot more options than the hotels that simply give a sack to each person.

New hotel. Great location close to freeway and food. Rooms very attractive and comfortable. Nice free hot breakfast with free WiFi. Staff pleasant and helpful. Price was good for quality of stay. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel, staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Loved the bathrooms/showers. We only stayed one night but we were very happy with the room. It was a little hard to find coming from the South - maybe a bigger sign!

The hotel is relatively new so it is bright, clean and airy looking inside. The lobby/breakfast room is open and nicely decorated. The food serving area is open and well arranged for food items. Area is large and can accommodate lots of people at once during the busy time. Excellent tasting popcorn in the lobby was a nice surprise and treat for the traveler. The room was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable with a very quiet HVAC unit. The staff greeted us warmly on a very cold evening, were helpful and very friendly. We stayed here a year earlier, had a great experience so we came back and found it the same the second time. We will definitely come back for another stay when the opportunity presents itself.
