With the Hilton app, there really isn’t much interaction we have to have with employees. This hotel was clean and we used the pool and hot tub for a quick minute. It was also fine. Our room was uncomfortable though. The beds were terribly hard and pillows very flat. The room was also hard to regulate the temp. It was quite cold in our room and we turned the temp up to 77 and still didn’t feel much heat. At 77, we should have been cooking. The fan ran constantly and was loud. Definitely not working right.
First trip since COVID arrived unannounced and unwelcome hotel made us feel comfortable however some of the fellow guests must be blind as on the elevator they saw us wearing masks and asked if guests were required to do so guess they could not rad the 8.5 x 11.0 sign by the elevator buttons
After a fast check-in, we went to a room with modern decor but only one chair. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge (no freezer). There was some freeway noise, but it didn't bother us. We could hear people talking in the next room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not well lit. The shower was large, with a good shower head, but the ventilation did not work well. It was hard to put on makeup in the poor lighting. There were no restaurants close by; we had to drive to dinner. We had a good breakfast with processed hot items, cooked oatmean, hard-boiled eggs, etc.
Front desk can not get it together. I reserved a room for last night, which I booked May 21, 2022 and one to check in and they said they don't have my room reservation. I guaranteed it with a credit card, I had my confirmation, the whole thing. They said there was no rooms available. Never again!!!!
This hotel is not well maintained. It is worn and it shows. The rooms smell like pet urine and are very humid despite trying to turn the air to a cooler temperature. The staff is not friendly and take a long time to come to the front desk. They never did answer the phone when I called from our room. I would stay at a different hotel unless there was absolutely no other choice.
The hotel was really nice and clean. We have had better breakfast foo. The pool was good, but the and hot tub was filthy. I wouldn’t go in it, nor my family. The staff members were very nice and helpful. Our Room was really clean and the housekeeper was really nice and helpful. She went way out of her way to help.
When traveling through Des Moines. This is the only place to stay. Nice hotel and one of the best breakfast options. Also the distance to night life rather that be entertainment or places to eat is extremely nice. Only complaint I would have is the comforter is to heavy. Need to have a option that isn’t so thick.
I stayed here several times over the past summer and each stay was outstanding. The rooms are spotless and the service perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast is back the how great they were before Covid.
I spent one night here on business. First, the location - it's odd. Basically located on the edge of an industrial park (best as I can tell) and farm fields. There are no restaurants within walking distance (depending on how you view the gas station across the street). So plan on driving. Nonetheless, if the hotel is near to where you want to be, it's extremely comfortable. Indeed, it's a very comfortable, very decent example of the brand's hotels. So consider it clean, comfortable, and recommended (assuming you need to stay in the area).
This hotel stay was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and nice, the staff was helpful and welcoming, and we got a real hot breakfast which is soooo appreciated on vacation. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!
