Stayed here for 1 night. Property is older and a little rough around the edges. The sidewalk to the far west door is dangerous. Trip hazard. Furniture in our room was rough. Price was about right. Bed was comfortable. Area has places to eat and a couple gas stations.

The Baymont in Ames, Iowa, is an excellent accommodation. We especially like that the rooms are not carpeted. Beds are very comfortable. With current health safety measures, rather than a buffet type hot breakfast, for those of us who require protein for breakfast, they have a pre-packaged breakfast sandwich.

The rooms are nice for the price of the stay, although the bathroom is very small. The location is minutes away from major stores and restaurants and not on a busy street. The breakfast doesn't have much for options.

I had my reservations, but I was on a budget. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Te bathroom was spacious and has a tub shower. The breakfast was lacking. This hotel is exactly what I expected for the price. I would stay again.

This was a planned stop on a long road trip. Hotel was conveniently located, with a good restaurant across the street, and was quiet even though a block from a major highway. There was a complementary breakfast.

Clean, friendly staff, easy access. We were pleasantly surprised by the simple, quiet room. Some hotel stays are about just getting a good nights rest and a clean place to shower and spend the night. Our experience did not disappoint. Simple, nothing fancy but offered exactly what we needed during our recent Ames visit.

They got our information from Priceline. I googled "motels in Ames Colorado" up popped all these motels in "Ames" not indicating it was Ames Iowa. We made a reservation and didn't realize it to be Ames Iowa until we received confirmation. We tried to cancel and was told it would cost $176 to cancel, and said we checked in, we were 1075 miles away. We asked for our money back and was denied. Watch when googling with Priceline, they're the worst.

The hallway and our guest room was terribly musty smelling despite the AC running! Fortunately, we only had to sleep there, so our time spent at the hotel was limited. I would not stay at this hotel again for fear it would be a repeat experience.
