Location is great with good food selection across the road. Stayed here twice so far, both times was looked after by Jade at reception. She is a very warm and welcoming lady that went out of her way to make me feel at home!!
The rooms were amazing and the front desk staff is exceptional! I love the family friendly environment and the girl at the front desk I think her name was Jay? She was super friendly and welcoming! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
Stayed here as a Residence Inn, but the service was definitely lacking; we were also told breakfast ended at 10 but when we got there at 915am, it was already closed and they were unable to offer anything, including an apology. Room was clean, plenty of space. Parking was plenty. Too far out of town for Atlanta, so only book it if it's near where you need to be.
We're in hotels while insurance takes care of some repairs on our house; we started at the Homewood Suites on Davis Drive and had to move when they couldn't extend our stay due to being fully booked. We have a family of seven spread out across two rooms. There are some positives to this hotel over the other -- for a rate of $10 more, we have two queen beds instead of two double beds in each room, two bathrooms per room instead of one and a stove with four burners and an oven instead of two with no oven at the other hotel. OTOH, the rooms are more cramped here than at the other, and the kids are disappointed not to have Food Network or Animal Planet in this hotel. :-) In that regard, I'd call it a push between the two properties. However, we've run into some management issues in this hotel: * The insurance company has been making sure to ask the hotels to put our rooms close to each other; Homewood Suites was ready for us in that regard when we arrived, but whomever took the reservation from the insurance company for us forgot to notate that, and we started in two different buildings... the gentleman who checked us in told us that, if he'd known the day before, it would have been no problem to set the rooms up close by. That got resolved after about a week when the people here for the baseball tournament checked out... even then, we had a wait when one manager told us they'd have the new room ready after 3 PM, and the manager on duty that evening had no idea what my wife was talking about (the manager the following morning got us squared away). There are some communications issues here. * And, there's the issue in the title above. On weekends, the sign in the lobby states that breakfast is 7 AM to 10 AM. On our first Saturday, we came down at 8:30 AM, and the hotel was already running out of food; they had only enough breakfast biscuits left for our family and were out of several other items. On Sunday, we had learned our lesson and came down at 7:30 AM -- and they were already out of the refrigerated items. Today, I came down at 7:30 AM and saw everything well-stocked, but politely did not sweep up everything my kids would need and take it back to the hotel room. When I brought the kids down at 8:45 AM (remember, a full hour before breakfast closes), the breakfast biscuits were gone and the yogurt and juice were almost gone. It shouldn’t be a surprise that people want to take advantage of the free breakfast on weekends, and they know how many people are staying in the hotel, so it shouldn’t be hard to have enough food on hand to keep the breakfast stocked – but for the management here, it is. Once is an isolated instance, two is a coincidence… but three is an epidemic. That’s not enough for a one or two star review… but if you’re reading reviews to decide where to stay, I’d recommend the Homewood Suites on Davis Drive (down at Exit 8) over this property. We had no management issues at all during our stay there; in particular, they have no problem keeping a hot breakfast stocked until 10 AM on weekends.…
Our stay was very disappointing. First off the positives…the hotel staff upon checking in and checking out, he was very friendly and welcoming. Due to his professionalism, I’m giving this review 2/5 stars. If it wasn’t for him being kind, I would give this a 1/5 star review. We were in room 821 and the person staying next door had his door open and there was an unpleasant odor coming from his room. Everything looked ok in our room, we noticed a roach which are called palmetto bugs crawling on the wall. I killed it and knew if I saw another one, I was going to have to switch rooms or ask for a refund. Sure enough, the night of July 3rd into the early hours of the 4th of July, there was a bigger roach crawling on our curtain which is pictured below. I called the front desk and she said I assure you it wasn’t a roach but trust me, it definitely was! So I asked for us to be moved or a refund so she moved us to 524. But when my husband went down to get our new room key, the front desk woman who I spoke with, was talking crap about me asking to be moved to another customer! She said “don’t let the glasses fool you” like a threat? Also saying I was being disrespectful for asking to be moved? And then said “this isn’t the Ritz Carlton, you get what you paid for!” Little did she know, my husband was listening to her say these things. I never write bad reviews but my family spending over $700 for 4 nights and driving 6 hours…this type of customer service is appalling. I was very disappointed to say the least.…
I really like to praise properties, but this one missed the mark. Exterior and facilities were fine, but our room was dirty, dishes were still in the dishwasher (some dirty), and wood furniture was pretty worn. Doors (bedroom) were very thin and didn’t close all the way. I believe I could have forgiven the wear and tear but everything was just dirty and a chair had some weird residue. Would be 3-4 stars if it was clean. Breakfast was grab and go (due to covid) and not very filling, so don’t count it to fill your family. I enjoyed the location and the spacious rooms however wouldn’t stay here again due to cleanliness. It’s like they just didn’t care.
Our stay for four nights as the hotel was wonderful. Due to cover-19 protocol, we did not have breakfast at the hotel. The staff was wonderful and the room was clean. The only reason that I can't give the hotel a five star rating was the surprise at checkout. I have stayed at many Residence Inns; this is the first one to charge for parking.
The Front Desk staff were extremely welcoming and supportive upon check-in. Special "thank you" to Lisa for her exceptional and above/beyond service!! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Alpharetta!
Very Nice Hotel in a Great Location close to lots of Restaurants. Rooms are very nice and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Internet works very fast. Hotel is close to the freeway with easy access. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
It was our first time at this facility. From our first greeting to the last good bye we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. We enjoyed the comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. You could not beat the location. We love to visit Avalon and also enjoy community plays in the area. We were within 10 minutes driving of most all places we needed to get to. Loved having a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was good with typical items. The lobby and rooms are very nicely decorated. I want to give a shout out to Lesia Johnson-Bryant. There were some beautiful flowers blooming in the front of the Inn and she went above and beyond to find out what kind they were for us. We will stay here again.
