Bonvoy Members have come to associate Value with Courtyard. This one is priced like a 4 Star hotel but has no restaurant, a bar but no bartender, carts so you can move yourself in (expected), and then they charge you $7 per night to park yourself in a vicinity where everybody parks free... pathetic. Also, TA indicates they are pet friendly, but they changed that policy, so don't show-up with Fido because he's sleeping in the car. In fact, I might opt to pay the $7 parking fee and sleep in the car myself. After all, I expected a lot more for almost $400/night.
We booked 3 rooms well in advance of our trip to GA to celebrate a high school graduation. Arrived late (almost midnight) and had advised the hotel of our late arrival. Person that checked us in was very kind and helpful given our weariness from air travel. She set the expectation that there was not daily housekeeping services but said if we needed anything, to just call. After our first night, trash had been emptied and fresh towels were in the room. Location of this hotel is great. There was a mall very close, an area we could walk to with shops and restaurants and a nice park nearby for our 3 year old traveler. My husband used the fitness center and we used the indoor pool one afternoon. Clean and towels provided. Highly recommend this property.
The location of this property is fabulous; a 3-minute walk to the Avalon Center. The hotel is newish, clean and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, the property was overbooked and understaffed. Upon checking in for a two night stay, the Operations Manager was very accommodating when our room was not ready. The following day the short-staffing resulted in our room not being cleaned and made up until after we returned from dinner.
My daughter was on fall break. We planned to stay at the Marriott across the street as we usually do but she wanted an indoor pool so we tried this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is very nicely decorated, the hotel room was very nice as well, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the indoor pool and were still able to shop at Avalon Mall across the street. This was a nice change of pace for us. We will be back again the next time my daughter wants to tag along on a weekend trip to Alpharetta.
I stayed at this hotel for business, the room was spacious clean and very comfortable. I was also able to use their business room to host work meetings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a breakfast area that offered fresh coffee and breakfast food options. Overall great experience.
I just had a great stay at the Courtyard in Avalon/Alpharetta. I was traveling with another female and we both felt very safe here. The area is quiet. I asked for a later checkout as I was recording a podcast & needed a little extra time. The friendly staff didn’t hesitate to accommodate my request. The room was a perfect place to record as there were plenty of plugs and a table that would move. The quiet location made it a perfect place to record. We were very close to the beautiful downtown area of Alpharetta & close to the Avalon shopping center.
Excellent brand new hotel (built January of last year), great location, nice modern decor, sparkly clean everything and exceptional front desk service - we happened to meet Jonathan. He managed to keep all residents happy at his fully booked hotel this past weekend and in full compliance with new Covid guidelines - very safe place to stay. All guests we happened to encounter were saying "Hi" to him and were very grateful for their room choices including us. Seems like he goes out of his way to take care of everyone! Jonathan has great bar tender skills along with very friendly front desk hospitality and makes everyone feel special. I am a Marriott rewards member for like 10 years and stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years, but this particular one really impressed me. If Jonathan could run all other Marriott hotel - I can get rid of my newly acquired Hilton and Hyatt memberships and just stick with Marriott forever. Thanks again!…
The hotel is very good. Front desk staff Jonathan and Ramsey are very accommodating and friendly. I want to give five star for this hotel but due to one staff member Marsha giving 4 stars. She was rude and not courteous at all. But truly hats off to Jonathan who made us feel special! Thanks a lot Jonathan
I am a Bonvoy platinum member and of prefer Marriott properties. Trying to find a new hotel in this area for future trips we tried out this new Courtyard based on good reviews. Everything is really fine for a newly built hotel but why are there AC window units? The come on every 20 minutes and are very noisy. It’s 2020 and there are much newer technologies available. I know these windows units are the cheapest way to get cold air in a hotel room, but this should not be Courtyard standard. For this reason I cannot recommend this hotel.
Hello, A group of friends checked in for one night while in town for a memorial service. Katherine greeted us with little welcome bags and was so kind as we all checked in. On the next day, she helped us search local restaurants for a quick breakfast before heading to the airport. Clean hotel, nice amenities. Thank you Katherine! Nice Matters, Irene and Rodney Thompson- Maryland
