The Hotel at Avalon was a fantastic place! Perfect for a quick trip and had great amenities. Would definitely come back. Convenient to shops bars and parking! Malda in particular was over the top in helping us!
As a former resident of Alpharetta, I never imagined staying at The Hotel at Avalon. My husband and I stayed here to visit friends, and we loved it! From the minute John the valet, greeted us with his welcoming and genuine smile, to Shawn who politely brought up our luggage, to Irene at the front desk, we felt special. The hotel is gorgeous and our room had a beautiful view overlooking Avalon, and the beds and pillows are THE BEST! I will be replacing my Tempur-pedic! I also loved the Moulton Brown bath amenities (a UK favorite of mine)! I want to give special acknowledgement to the bar staff, particularly MK and Robert. They treated us like old friends. Cameron too. Every staff member was kind and helpful and HAPPY! I think that speaks epically about this hotel's management. Thank you to everyone who made this old couple's stay at The Hotel at Avalon wonderful!…
Malda provided amazing service and the location vibe in Avalon is hard to beat. This would be 6 Stars except for the lack of a few eccentricities like no oatmeal for breakfast and shortage of storage space if group is more then 2 for an extended stay.
We have been staying at the hotel for a week. We ended up with a snag in our travel arrangements. Malda at the front desk was a true professional. She worked with us and helped us to get the best possible outcome for our situation. She is amazing at her job and a true value to the Hotel at Avalon.
An underwhelming stay at the Avalon after hearing such good things... the hotel was incredibly busy and we had to wait 20 + mins to check-in (Saturday afternoon). The highlight of our stay was the lady who checked us in - she was very apologetic and professional. She upgraded our room, which when I saw it, I couldn't believe how small it was and instantly wondered what I'd booked initially! We tried to get some lunch after a long trip... we arrived at 2.03pm to only be told the kitchen shut at 2pm. Despite explaining our situation, showing him my phone (that's why I knew it was 3 minutes past the hour!) the gentleman at the desk was very rude. I mean, VERY and told us to go to Starbucks if we were hungry. You constantly had to wait for lifts because the hotel was so busy. Very little to do in the surrounding area. The hotel is clearly new, clean and well maintained, but you're paying to be seen there. Its very impersonal and not experiential. The cherry on the cake was we express checked out only to find 2 days later that there was a charge on our room we didn't recognise... 3 weeks later and multiple emails asking to see the receipts, still no response.…
I enjoyed a business trip and conference at The Hotel at Avalon, Autograph Collection in June and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The accommodations were very well suited for the type of conference that I was attending and the caliber of professionals and leaders that were in attendance. The dining experience, more specifically, the batenders and mixologists were great at their craft. The guest suite was spacious and very comfortable. The location was accessible to lovely restaurants and shopping. I had the pleasure of meeting Yania, a hospitality management extraordinaire who curated an amazing guest experience during my stay. Yania's level of care and expertise greatly contributed to an already extensive itinerary and I couldn't be more grateful. I will definitely plan to return (in fact I've already made arrangements for an upcoming business trip) and I look forward to the next level of service with the very capable staff in this elegant, well-designed hotel.…
Denica went over and above from the start of our visit helping to arrange having our 2 rooms on the same floor… much appreciated…Thank you! Unfortunately our stay was interrupted with a fire alarm at 3:30am on Saturday night/Sunday morning and an unexpected pool closing on Sunday. Both Denica and Irene handled the “complaint” professionally. Both listened with compassion and took action to make sure we left satisfied and happy with our stay. Strong commendations for both Denica and Irene for making the best of the situation….Thank you!
HUGE SHOUT OUT to both Irene Lopez and Michaela Blocker, Front Office Managers at The Hotel Avalon. I presented them with a very difficult situation regarding hotel rooms i reserved through Booking.com. They handled my situation immediately and professionally and resolved all the issues I was having! I am sincerely grateful for their understanding and patience with dealing with this problem which was created by Booking.com. They both exemplify true customer service!!
Stayed at The Avalon July 4th weekend, and had an absolutely fabulous stay! Malda was the associate that checked me in, and she’s one of the best I’ve encountered in my 30+ years of traveling. I had two rooms, arrived early afternoon, and she got me checked in both rooms in minutes. Her smile, gracious attitude, and overall welcoming demeanor has me wanting to stay no where else when I return!! Awesome Job Malda!!
Malda took great care of us! Highly recommend this hotel & staff! It was very clean. The staff was very pleasant, I wish we had more time there! Perfect getaway for staycation in the Atlanta area! Plan to go again soon!
