We stayed at the Hampton Inn September 30th-October 2nd. Although the hotel was fully booked, our room on the first floor was incredibly quiet. Adding to that a very comfortable bed, I experienced two of the the best nights of sleep I've had in a hotel in a very long time. In addition, the common areas were clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Thank you to the local management for making our stay so enjoyable!!!!!
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Alamosa for our trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is located off of Highway 285 or Main Street Northwest of downtown Alamosa. The lobby is clean and inviting. In fact, we ate all of our take-out dinners in the lobby/breakfast room. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. It was internally and externally quiet. There was no traffic or train noise. Finally, the Neutrogena soap and shampoo were a nice touch. The staff was friendly and helpful and quickly corrected an error on our bill. They also put out a first-rate breakfast. Like the neighboring hotels, the location is a bit awkward and we had to drive into town to get dinner. Not a big deal. Our main complaint was the Wi-Fi. It was inconsistent, slow and weak. I highly recommend the Hampton Inn Alamosa…
Lack of room cleaning. Even had to empty own trash. Seriously!! No sausage at breakfast even thou advertised. Elevators dirty. Main floor bathrooms dirty. You adk to many questions never fix anything.
Pros: nice décor, excellent beds and comforters. Room well-lighted. Excellent full breakfast with friendly server. Cons: the rooms here have a desk chair but no other chair and no foldable luggage rack, which means your second suitcase sits on the floor. That seems cheap for a $190 room. Also the internet was very slow unless you pay $5 per night for decent internet speed. Again, disappointing for room at this price
We were very pleased with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. Checkin was easy and efficient. Also the dinner recommendations were good and we had a delicious meal. Our room was ready on time as advertised. Also we got most of our requested. Hotel did not have a room with a walk-in shower except for a handicap which we didn’t need. Internet service was sporadic at times. Parking lot was well lighted. Breakfast was basic but reasonable.
