We booked this hotel because of the reasonable price and good reviews. So, it is with great disappointment that I am giving 1 star, but it's well deserved. When we walked in the room, my first impression was good; the main room and the bathroom looked nice. But looking closely - at almost anything - it was a totally different story. Both bedspreads were covered with bread crumbs (?) and stains. Peeling that back, the layer underneath had a number of short hairs and more stains. I touched the counter next to the sink and it was sticky (honey?). The main table was greasy and had finger-marks (imagine someone finger-drawing in the grease, but more random). The walls were dirty. Someone else had left food in one of the cabinets, including a partially-eaten loaf of bread. The partial roll of toilet paper ran out the first night; my wife went to the front desk, and they couldn't give her any. She had to drive to Walmart and wait for them to open at 6:00a. I could keep going! After seeing how dirty our room was, there was no way in hell we were eating breakfast there, free or not. As other reviewers have noted, they required ID from everyone in our party at check-in, and they made copies. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had that requirement before. I'm including some photos to show that there's no exaggeration or embellishment in what I've written. This is a nice hotel, and with proper management, it could be a great place to stay - but our experience was anything but great.

We chose this motel because of the rates and location. It was a pleasant surprise to find them also serving breakfast, including a self-serve hot waffle machine. Parking was up close, and there were interior corridors. We had a relatively large and quiet first floor room, which made bringing our luggage inside easier. We liked the rates, which are realistic and not padded, to recover pandemic losses. The one extra thing I wanted to comment on was the overly extensive ID check policy. Since I made the reservation, it was alright to verify my ID. But they asked for ID of every person in my party, and they wanted to make and keep copies of all that. They would not tell me what would be done with those copies, nor how long they would be kept and under what security. I found this to be overly much, quite troubling, and very unnecessary. If this policy is what helped keep the rates down, I'm not sure it was worth it.

We were a large group traveling to Alamosa for a family funeral. We did not have reservations but Mindy went above and beyond to find enough rooms for all of us. The hotel is very clean and they serve a nice breakfast of both hot & cold items as well as unlimited coffee available all day.

The head of housekeeping was in charge of check in. She has no business being at the front desk. She got locked out of the computer and had to go get her husband. That took an hour. She gave nobody back their IDs after copying them...gave empy sleeve with no room keys....her husband who makes the waffles isnt any better when he "tries to help" poor babies. Lost the person in front of me..lost their reservation and credit card and all that info.. These folks shouldnt be doing this type of work. I was afraid to eat the breakfast....no masks ANYWHERE IN THE HOTEL. DIRTY. And if they are the ones cooking the breakfast...no thanks. Looks like a drug area of town. I wouldnt stay here again but I will come back to Alamosa! This is def a mom and pop kinda place. Not a chain with standards.
