Our family had a wonderful stay at the Anaheim Islander Inn. We went to Disneyland for 3 days and stayed at the Islander for 4 nights. The Islander is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. You can tell that the owners and staff really care about their guests. This is our family’s 4th time staying at the Islander, and we will definitely be back. I have recommended the Islander to many friends and family, and they have also had wonderful stays there. I can’t recommend The Islander enough!

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I've been traveling to the same trade show for more than 20 years and staying at hotels at the lower end of the price spectrum. Those are generally both small and old, and previous experiences with other such hotels led me to expect clean but dingy and dilapidated rooms. The Islander Inn was a pleasant exception to that rule. As convenient to the convention center and Disney as could be asked, the Inn had clearly been very recently completely remodeled. The room was bright and immaculate, had plenty of bed space for families, and was just an overall good place to rest my head after long days. Staff were polite, thoughtful, and efficient. The overall condition of the rooms was much better than those of the giant chain hotel right next to the convention center. This place was a real bargain, with fridge and microwave for the busy traveler on a budget.

The Islander is a short walk to the Anaheim Convention Center, Disneyland, lots of food options, and even the House of Blues. There is no giant, marble covered lobby that makes you feel like you are throwing away money. Just a nice, simple place to stay with comfortable beds and the normal amenities of home. The staff is nice and they are quick to deal with any issues. Oh, and the price is great for what you get. I like it.

I hesitate to share my review for selfish reasons as I want to keep it for my own visits. If people realize what a hidden gem it is it will get harder to book. The hotel from the outside looks very non descript. Its low key and layed back. What I really liked was it was a mum and pop type business not one of the big brands. The room we got was on the top floor and had 3 queens in two rooms with a very small bathroom. It was spotless. Cleaner than most of the big brands I have stayed at. Nothing was fancy but everything was clean, comfortable and spacious (except the bathroom). The bathroom though small was big enough to be comfortable for the week we stayed there. Unlike big brand hotels they cleaned the rooms every day, had free parking and very low cost laundry. The price for the room was very reasonable and there wasn't any additional fees and I didn't leave feeling like I paid more for parking and fees than I did the room which is often the case in that area. There was always enough parking and a slow walk to disney was 15 min, 8 for a quick one. Uber trip back only 8 dollars. Nothing fancy but clean, comfortable and reasonable costs.

Our family loves this hotel and we have stayed here many times. Our recent stay was over the Thanksgiving week and then again in December. We love the new upgraded floors. The hotel is quiet and an easy 10min walk to Disneyland. There are multiple shops and restaurants nearby but each room has a decent size fridge and microwave. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They have always been accommodating in allowing us to arrive early and stay late with our vehicles so we can go to Disney. The breakfast has always been nice with various pastries, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, juice, and cocoa. Perfect for a quick grab and go on the way out. The rooms are larger than most and staff does an excellent job cleaning. Anytime we have had an issue staff has always been quick to respond. We love this place and will be back!

We were pleasantly surprised by the Anaheim Islander. We stayed in a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed. The room really had everything we could have wanted at about half the price of the rooms we usually stay in which are directly across from the entrance to Disneyland. This hotel is right next door to a Disney parking lot with a free shuttle to the park. What could be easier than that? The breakfast is grab and go with a few little snacks and fruit. We usually only stay at hotels that offer a full hot breakfast, but right now, no hotels in this area are doing that anyway. They blame covid restrictions, but that's silly, as restaurant buffets are open now and hotels could serve breakfast, too. We would stay here again.

I have now stayed in this hotel twice, once in 2013 as a couple, and now in 2022 with kids (4 & 5). I really, really like this hotel, its exceptionally clean, the staff are very friendly, and it has everything you need if your plans are focused around the Disney parks.
The location is good because its a short walk to the parks/food/pharmacies. Parking is readily available, the pool is a decent size and heated (although as a Canadian i've been told my expectations of just how hot a heated pool is, is different than those from a warm climate) but we made good use of the pool regardless on a couple of gloomier 16 degree "C" days. The price point on this place is fantastic for the area, we saved so much vs. going to a hotel on the other side of the road that we decided we would use the money to drive to the parks and pay for parking, although we quickly realised that it took twice as long to drive to parks and use parking than to just walk there because the hotel is so close. ( we rented a stroller from a local stroller rental shop down the street and it saved us not only on the walk to the parks, but in the parks)
All in all, I would be very happy to stay here the next time im going to Disneyland with my kids or as an adult trip.

When making this reservation, I was a bit skeptical because the price was so low and the location was so close to Disneyland, but, for a family of 5, three queen beds was appealing, so I booked. When we arrived I was immediately impressed. At check in, the young man was very nice and we got right up to our room, which was huge. It was two rooms with three queen sized beds. The hotel and our room were clean and well-kept. The pool was perfect. And we were only about 3 blocks from Disneyland. I only paid $134 per night for this hotel!

Stayed here for three nights.

The price was very good for the room with that in mind do not expect too much.

Firstly it was very clean, as with most guest Disney was the reason to stay as only 15 min walk to main Disney gate. There is a shuttle but walking there for us was easy.

There are the plenty of things in the room towels, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, soaps a good A/C and heater, as cold only used heating. TV and safe

Some negatives, but none would change our minds recommend staying here.

TV remote ours did not work, yes we could have mentioned it but we’re not in room that much and too tired to watch TV.
( that’s minor isn’t ). Sheet on bed did not quite fit?
Breakfast is I suppose America packet small cakes but there were bananas.
Safe some number pad tired so some number did not work, once realised this just used other number.

Good. Free parking with no problem parking spaces. Friendly staff. Very clean tidy and neat room and hotel area. Ideal, actually excellent location. Area feels safe. Close to restaurants easy walking distances.

Laundry on site we used and all good.

Swimming pool, weather too cold but looked tempting, was heated but just to wimpy to use.

We booked the two queen beds and one bunk bed room. When we first walked into the room we passed another room, possibly the laundry room, and the window was open. I smelled a very strong odor similar to propane. We entered our room and our room, too, smelled of propane. Not only that, I was surprised how small the room was because the pictures online make the room look large. It was fine for our small family, but we were cramped while walking around as it's shaped like a corridor. At 6am it sounded like the family above us was going to bust through the floor. I mean you can hear every single step the people above you take. Since we arrived late I dealt with the smell of the propane but it did give me anxiety through the night that my family was breathing it in. In the morning I spoke with Gillip and he was gracious and understanding. He moved us rooms and his staff loved our stuff to our new room while we were at Disneyland, which was very nice. We moved to our new room and decided to take a nap. When I pulled the covers back on the bed there was a huge hairy, bloody booger in the bed. I hate to be a complainer and I contemplated just ripping that sheet off and dealing with it, but I was digusted so I called the front desk. I told the staff member of the booger and they didn't apologize or anything they just wondered if I wanted new bedding. I told them yes and someone was promptly up. I helped her change the bedding and she was very nice. Later in the evening I counted five dried up boogers wiped on the walls around the room! At this point we were only on day two and I wanted to leave to another hotel but didn't want to pay fees. The rest of the trip I tried to stay out of the room as much as I could. We ran out of toilet paper the third day and had to call, there was no conditioner or lotion, the vending machine in the parking lot was broken, the breakfast was not good as the one fruit they served (bananas) was not ripe. We left the hotel at 4am on our departure date because we could not wait to get out of there! I would never stay here again.

However, there were some positive things if lack of cleanliness is not an issue for you.

-Garden Walk is very close by and my family experienced new restaurants only because of our location.
-Toy Story Shuttle is down the street from the hotel so you can hop on that to take you to Disneyland for free.
-Gillip is nice.

Finally, the hotel has some serious potential if more care and love were involved. The rooms need a deep cleaning and better attention to the walls and corners. They need to make their guests more comfortable and offer the essential items one expects to have on vacation (conditioner and lotion), they need to vamp up their pool area and add things that are appealing to the eye (ie. plants, nice umbrellas, loungers, etc.).
