The Residence Inn by Marriott at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center is celebrated for its prime location close to Disneyland, with guests frequently highlighting the convenience it adds to their stay. Families in particular appreciate the clean, spacious rooms equipped with handy kitchenettes, and the complimentary breakfast is a popular perk among reviewers.
While the hotel's cleanliness and friendly service often receive high marks, some travelers have mentioned noise issues and a desire for room refreshments. Additionally, the value proposition has been questioned due to high prices and additional charges.

Overall I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were well set out, spacious and had everything needed to support a family. The location was walking distance to everything you need and nothing was too much trouble for the staff if you asked. Well done and see you next time.

We’ve stayed here twice, just last week and 4 years ago. We came back because we had a good experience the first time, despite it not being the closest to the park entrance (it is roughly a 15 minute walk by safe and well traveled path/sidewalk).
Rooms are very spacious and well outfitted with kitchenette, and we even had a view across to the parks where you could catch a bit of the fireworks. Our room was very quiet, though at the end of a hallway so I can’t speak for rooms in higher traffic areas. Garage parking is convenient and secure. The free breakfast is extensive (as free hotel breakfasts go) and is well done - I think they made this a focus of their service because people want a good breakfast before going to the parks, and it shows. The seating area is large so we never had issues finding a table, they keep it well stocked and clean, the flow is pretty good to keep it from being too jammed, and they have more than one juice/coffee station. My daughter loves the Mickey waffle maker! Free hotel breakfast is a big deal for our family trips and it was great here. We stayed at some much more expensive hotels on the trip and this was probably the best overall value. Of note, we did not check out the pool at all so cannot comment on that.

We were meeting up with all my children and grandchildren to spend two days at Disney/California adventure. We were able to check into the hotel at 7am, leave our bags with the front desk and enjoy the breakfast buffet before heading off to the park. It was an easy walk from the hotel. we got the text when our rooms were ready and checked into our rooms for a little rest. I was pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade to a two room suite with bunk beds that made the stay even more pleasant as the little ones got they're own room and bathroom.

My family of 3 spent 3 night here in the Theme Park View King room. It cost $1,400 Cdn. What a rip off.
Pros: close to park and CVS
breakfast buffet decent
Cons: although I requested early check-in months earlier and extra towels, we were told to bugger off when we came in a couple of hours early. Flying in from Canada with a 3 year old we would have loved to have a nap and freshen up. We came in at 130 and they said they'd text us at 4 when the room was ready but they didn't. We didn't get extra towels either.
they sent an email saying I could check in online and I requested an early check-in and extra towels. We recieved neither.
their was no view of the park for which I had paid extra for, although the palm trees outside our window and the hotel across the street were nice.
the room was a strange trapezoidal shape that made sitting on the couch to watch TV uncomfortable due to the strange viewing angle. The sofa bed was terrible unless you liked springs.
housekeeping never cleaned the room properly and we had to request both sheets and towels (again).
Conclusion: $1400 for 3 nights was a rip off for this place that was no better than a budget motel.

Dear 369vikingf, Thank you for taking the time to complete the Guest Satisfaction Survey in regards to your recent stay at the Residence Inn Anaheim Resort/Convention Center. As we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience during your travels, we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your recent stay. Please accept our sincere apology for not being able to accommodate and early check-in for you; early check-ins are based on availability. We also apologize for the room type not meeting your expectations; for the Disney view rooms you are not able to see inside the park because Disneyland does not allow any business to look inside the parks; however, you are able to see the fireworks from the room. We have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team to ensure that this was an isolated issue that is corrected moving forward. Upholding our commitment to provide a memorable experience with exceptional service, we hope to have an opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Anaheim.

My family and I recently stayed in a family suite (the one with the separate kids bunkbed room). We had originally booked a theme park view, however upon check in they informed us that they had accidentally given away our room the day before, and that the view would be different. Long story short, they reduced the rate we paid and we had a view of the pool instead.
Housekeeping is a significant problem with this hotel. The kids bathroom was really dirty: the door frame ledge on the bottom was covered in thick dust, the corners of the floor were gross, with piles of debris and hair. There were dried urine spots on the toilet bowl. The adult bathroom (specifically the toilet) was only cleaned once during our stay (5 nights) and the sheets were not changed on a regular basis. While they come in and make the beds and provide fresh towels, they are absolutely not cleaning.
We utilized the guest laundry facility and the dispenser of laundry soap was broken, as well as the credit card options on both the washer and dryers were broken. One of our dryers didn't work at all, and we had to run an entire new cycle. The front desk was definitely not surprised when we mentioned it to them.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was pretty good and the pool and hot tub were a welcome end to the day. We walked to Disney and then dinner every day. It's a great location.
If I had to do it again, I would have complained about the cleanliness of the rooms but otherwise, it was a fine stay. I'm surprised at the rave reviews it receives, however. It's a decent place, but for the price you pay, I'd expect it to be cleaner.

I’m so tired of businesses being super busy yet telling customers there’s no services like housekeeping. When I checked in, the front desk informed me then I couldn’t get room service unless I gave them 24 hour advanced notice. No room service for two days of stay. How about you email your customers this info on advance? There’s no mask enforcement and lots of entitled people with their too young to be vaccinated yet old enough to wear a mask running around. No one said a thing to any of them.
The room had no enhanced cleaning. None.
After paying $309/nt had to pay for parking too at now $24/nt despite advertised at $20.
Also the breakfast was never hot. Cold eggs, sausage and potatoes, and no microwaves downstairs to use. Gross.
Will not stay here again or any Residence Inn for that matter. It’s just not a good value.

Hello amandainindy2015, Thank you for providing us with your honest feedback. Due to new policies in place amid the pandemic, our housekeeping procedures had to be modified, and in order to respect the space of our guests, housekeeping services are provided only upon request, and the information had been conveyed upon your arrival. We encourage our guests to wear a mask, but masks are optional and not required within the hotel if guests are vaccinated, following the guidelines set forth by Orange County's Department of Health. Our breakfast is kept warm within warmers in our buffet and are constantly monitored by our team members. We apologize for falling short of your expectations, and this will be forwarded to our department managers to ensure that the issue is corrected. Thank you for choosing the Residence Inn, and we hope you give us another chance the next time you visit the Anaheim Resort.

Our family spent a fortune planning a 2 day visit to Disneyland and decided to make it a mother's Day weekend of fun. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed based of the pictures and information on line. When we got to our room it had two full beds. I called down and told them we booked a king. I think the girl was annoyed because we wanted the room we booked with a king. She said she upgraded us to a city view and that's why we had 2 full beds. We literally had a view of the 10 story parking garage wall. We went downstairs to switch keys to move. To our surprise the room she gave us is half the size with a smaller couch. It's a tiny weird triangle corner room. The TV is stationary focusing toward the window so the kids can't even watch TV. When you unfold the couch it hits the TV shelf so you can't get up to go to the bathroom without climbing over the other person in bed. The kitchen is 1/2 the size of the first room. We've stayed at most the rooms near Disneyland for trade shows or to visit Disneyland with family and I will never stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff didn't handle the situation right. Seeing we had a family of 4 with 2 young kids they should have warned us that the room they would be giving us was 1/2 the size before we moved. I stay with Marriott sometimes but do most my travel with Hilton and Hilton seems to handle issues that arise better. We stayed at the Hyatt Place a few doors down and the rooms are much nicer and more family friendly.

Dear A7897RLmaggiem, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your recent stay with us. We do apologize for any miscommunication during your arrival. We do our best to ensure we're providing our guests with all the necessary information at the time of check in. I understand how frustrating it must have been for the lack of information regarding the size of the originally booked room compared to the one you were upgraded to. Thank you again for sharing your comments and be please aware we will be addressing it with the appropriate team to ensure this is an isolated issue.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was a studio suite king bed. We didn't notice any enhanced cleaning if anything it seems that they are so understaffed that a lot of areas have been neglected. They only clean your room if you request a day in advance. When we got to our room, the carpet was dirty and could use a vacuuming and shampooing. I asked for housekeeping to come up the next day to vacuum since the floor was dirty. The next day, we left for Disney in the morning and came back to take an afternoon nap and the room still hasnt been cleaned. Housekeeping didn't come until around 4:20 pm. When they knocked, I asked if they can come back in 20 minutes so we can get ready and head out but they said it was too late. We don't blame housekeeping since they're probably so stretched thin that they couldnt do it anymore but it would have been nice if they did our room earlier or had more time flexibility. We didnt ask for housekeeping again during our stay and just dealt with the nasty carpet.
The pool area was also neglected. There was no staff available, no clean towels when we 1st arrived but just bins overfilling with used towels. The whole area just looked unkempt and could use some scrubbing. There was dirt and sand on the bottom of the pool and hot tub.
From reading other reviews, I expected the to-go only breakfast option vs the buffet but they could have still changed it up a bit day to day and also provide some type of toast. Eggs and sausage can get tiring after a few days.
For your money's worth, I would only come back when they are truly fully functional.
Also they advertise that they have 72 hour room vacancy between guests stay but when I talked to the front desk staff in the morning, he said they were already at 97% capacity so doesn't seem likely that they're honoring the 3 days vacancy between guest stays.

Stayed at the hotel during a conference and had a great experience. Edgar at the front desk was extremely helpful and had great customer service. The hotel is at a great location walking distance to restaurants and downtown Disney. The room was very clean and having a kitchen in the room helped during these pandemic times. I will definitely come back with the family once Disneyland fully opens.

This hotel has a lot of potential but there are also a lot of things that need to change to truly get this hotel up to a four star rating. The location is great but this alone wasn't enough to keep us at this hotel. The daily breakfast was always sold out well before 9:30 am, the air conditioning in our room worked intermittently even after a mechanic was sent to make repairs, the rooms by the parking garage are noisy with vehicle alarms going off at all hours, the restaurant under those same rooms starts to move metal tables and chairs at 8am by dragging them on the pavement and this process took almost an hour and woke everyone up, including our kids. There was a lack of dishes and cutlery in the room and a lack of daily cleaning and the rooms were never cleaned thoroughly. We were originally told that we had to stay more than three nights to qualify for cleaning. Once we informed the front desk that we were staying for five nights under two reservations, we were told that we could request daily cleaning upon special request, but the standard was to provide cleaning every two days. All of this is insufficient, in my opinion, given that we are on vacation and paying $460/CAD night to stay at this hotel. After two nights we checked out and moved to a suite at the Disneyland Hotel which exceeded our expectations. The front staff could do better as well.

YYC_HES, Thank you for investing some time to detail your recent experience at our property. Feedback like yours is invaluable in helping us continue to improve and better serve our guests. The detailed comments you have provided indicate a number of areas where improvements need to be made, and we deeply apologize for the overall dissatisfaction you experienced. The matter concerning breakfast is a major concern. We understand that a well-stocked, delicious breakfast is essential and helps to start the day right, and it's regrettable to hear that this was not the case during your stay. We can assure you that our management team will make necessary improvements in enhancing our dining operations to ensure an ample supply of food for all our guests, regardless of when they choose to dine within operating hours. Moreover, we are sorry to hear about the troubles you encountered with the air conditioning in your room. We understand the importance of being comfortable in your room, particularly in appropriate temperature conditions. Rest assured, we will be reviewing the preventative maintenance procedure and ensure our team is working diligently to correct any malfunctions quickly. We listen carefully when you shared about the insufficient amenities and the irregular cleaning service during your stay. The hotel policy on room cleaning you mentioned has been found to fall short in your case. This would be introspected upon and corrected. The availability of essential dishes, cutlery, and a guaranteed thorough cleaning should be a norm rather than a request and we'll take this feedback into the heart of our housekeeping procedures. We deeply regret the issues you faced and are committed to making robust changes to ensure future guests do not encounter similar experiences. Your feedback acts as a crucial tool in this process and we are grateful for your comprehensive review. We hope for an opportunity to serve you again in the future, under more positive circumstances.
