This Los Angeles RV campground is well shaded with towering cottonwood trees and Italian Stone Pines as well as Palm and Elm trees. It boasts the largest swimming pool in the west surrounded by 15 acres of picnic areas. Soledad Canyon RV Campground boasts a large, active family lodge as well as an area designed for adults, with a second private swimming pool. Facilities only average, 2 AM nightly train is extremely loud and long, customer service was poor and you have to purchase wifi for each device. They block Mifi so you can't share the wifi you purchase. The main pool was closed when we arrived, and is still closed 3 weeks later!

The staff were all nice and friendly but the property was a little bit of a let down. The basketball/tennis courts, mini golf, and community centers were closed. Only two camping areas were open as the others were having their water and sewage fixed. This place will be amazing in the summer if they can get their repairs completed. It is near a train track so expect to hear the trains through out the days and nights.

This facility is in the middle of a remodel. The power was out 2 times. One for several hours the other all day. This place has power issues. Also the water came out of the faucet (kitchen sink) milky, like soap suds, periodically, Overall this trip served its purpose.

Cost way too much to stay here with nothing to do if placed in the back of the camp ground. Everything they offer is in the front of the campground. They make you Clean the cabin before you leave which is completely fine, except you cant check in until 4 and you cant even take advantage of the 3rd day because you have to clean up, pack up and load up all before 11am or they will charge you for a whole other night. Very dissatisfied with this stay.

This was a terrible campground, and nothing close to a "resort." I understand we have a pandemic going on, which is why we decided to take a RV as a family to avoid hotels and other travel risks during COVID. But half of this campground was shut down, and while some of it may be the current state of the economy, this campground has been poorly maintained for some time. Despite the beautiful pictures online of kids playing soccer in grass fields, playing Mini golf, and swimming, none of this was open to the guests. I understand the pools, even though they are open everywhere else, but the golf, grounds, and everything around has not been maintained at all. We took pictures of the areas they showed on their website and put them next to eachother, and they look absolutely nothing alike. The mini golf area looked like it hadn't been TOUCHED with a weed wacker or can or spray paint in 3 years. How can they advertise these things on their website with the way it actually looked? We were going to stick out both nights of our 2 night stay, but once the freight train came through at 11:45 PM and then again at 5:25 AM the next morning, we cut our losses, left a day early and headed home. There wasn't anything for our kids to do despite what we thought would be a fun 2 day vacation as a family. Very disappointing, don't waste your money like we did.

During Labor Day, Thousand Trails overbooked this campground to the extent that the water and sewer system could not handle an excessive number of guests. As a result the water was shut off and the bathrooms were locked. I bought this membership and booked this campground with the expectation that there would be water, sewer and a bath house with showers. Thousand Trails apparently mismanages their properties. And basically for that day it was uninhabitable. Being able to use the toilet and water are basic necessities. This could have been avoided if TT managed it better and never ALLOWED so many people there in the first place. Be forewarned. Expect dry camping here and be surprised if you actually get use of the showers, water, sewer, showers and bathroom. It’s a horrific feeling when suddenly you have to go #2 and all the bathrooms are locked. The other RVs were leaving in droves because the water was shut off in the whole campground. I went down to the front desk and even the employees even tell you they have no where to go to the bathroom. WTF? What kind of place is this???

Thousand trails is such a great value in general, and soledad canyon is especially near to my heart. There is a peace that can only be experienced in the calm of nature. Although there are some updates currently underway, once they are completed they will bring even more value to an already great experience

Great stay. Nice staff and neighbors. Park needs updating though and they are working on it.
$10 for each package received was a bit steep. Bathrooms were kept very clean. They were a bit late on clearing the brush growth off of lots, especially considering going into rattlesnake season.

So I arrived June 19th for the 21st annual Fathers Day Campout with my Children, never been to this one before. I was given Cabin Q43 which was a nice little cabin that sleeps 5 (important note: you need an air mattress to put on top of the sofa bed or your back will hate you in the morning).

I arrived and Robin greeted me, which I cannot say enough of how wonderful Robin was. She was friendly, helpful, and was on top of it. I am sure she had a smile but they make them wear those mask which they should just let her smile run free.

Overall the Cabin was good now the disappointing parts unfortunately:
One pool was empty the other was green on a hot weekend, miniature golf was overrun, bridge was out so we had to drive around, and they cancelled all activities including line dancing which we where looking forward to. All of this on a Fathers Day Weekend. There is potential is just wasn't there when I was

One other note, it was next to impossible to get someone to answer the phone at there main number. I tried it multiple times leading up to my stay.

There are no fire pits because the drought has made fires a reality. Many campsite have charcoal metal barbeques but I can't say if they are currently allowed. The lovely rental cabins have barbeques you can use.
