My flights got changed which gave me an extra night in DC and I already had another (Grand) Hyatt booked, so I only needed one additional night. Park Hyatt was available at a good rate, so I decided to book the one night. I got an email from the general manager about a week ahead of time asking for any additional needs or items I might need. Upon checking, which was very late due to delayed flights, the front desk staff was so professional and happy to see me and help me with anything. As a Globalist, I was told my room had been upgraded, which was a very nice gesture. Upon arriving to my room, it was so nice and roomy. I had a personalized note from the manager and some chocolates. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time and the huge rain shower in the huge bathroom was so relaxing. Overall, the stay was fantastic and I wish I would have booked more nights at the Park, as my experience my other (Grand) for the remaining 4 nights of my trip, was not as nice.…
I booked a stay at the Park Hyatt in DC for my wife's birthday. The front office manager emailed me prior to my stay greeting me. I replied that I'm coming for a special occasion (birthday) and although I have explorist status, was immediately upgraded and also provided a birthday amenity. My wife loved every part of the stay and the birthday amenity far exceeded both of our expectations. The staff was excellent and I would recommend this property to anybody as the staff really goes above and beyond to take care of your needs.
Without exception, the staff were gracious, welcoming, helpful and happy. Whether we requested something in person or via text message, if arrived promptly. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We were able to get razors and toothbrushes we forgot and a complimentary shoe shine. The restaurant accommodated our special request with the exception of one waiter on Sunday who appeared to be a new employee. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.
Hotel was great but the Park Suite we booked faced a brick alley with ductwork everywhere. Supposedly all these suites have the same 'view' and there is no mention of this on the hotel's website. There are other suites that a priced only slightly higher and I would have booked one of those had I known about the alley view. The room was very nice , clean and I would have given 5 starts if the suite at least had a street view.
Our family of four traveled to Washington DC for an event and some sight seeing. Park Hyatt made our stay easy and smooth. We loved the calming feel of the hotel and the beautiful decor. Each staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the easy access to a walking trail and to Georgetown. Our room was a bit on the small side but decorated beautifully and very cozy. Beds were comfortable. Would have loved to have tried the on-site restaurant but could not fit it in. Wish it had been open until 11 PM instead of 10 PM.
I had a wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt Washington DC last week for a business trip. The front office manager Kyle Cho made sure that I had everything I needed to make the most out of my stay at the hotel. The food is incredible and the room service was very quick. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in DC.
Came in during memorial weekend. The junior suite is spacious. Bathroom has everything you would need. Customer service is great. Everyone is very accommodating. The pool was closed but they were able to get us a day pass at Fairmont hotel which is just across the road. Things that I would like to see is to have a separate door for the toilet. It is inside the bathroom with shower so if you have kids there is no privacy especially there is no door lock.
Okay, so there were a few glitches, TV not working, tap lose. Generally though, the place is relaxing and safe and comfortable. the food in the restaurant is excellent (expensive, but excellent). Would return.
The Park Hyatt DC reminds me of 5 star hotels in Europe or Asia. Truly an oasis in the District. Close to everything. Excellent service. Great staff. Extremely accommodating. The salt water pool is the best.
I do no usually write reviews, but I was so unhappy with our stay at the Park Hyatt . The good part was the staff was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. However, the design of the room ( a suite) was so bad that I would not stay again. We went for five nights and the room did not have a dresser and or someplace to put your clothes. The only place to put your clothes were two mini rods to hang your garments and two small wicker baskets, both were in the bathroom. The shower, tub, toilet and the closet (if you call it that) were all in one room. There was no privacy if you wanted to take a bath, shower, dress or use the toilet. Additionally, there was virtually no lighting in the bedroom. There was one light on the nightstand, and two reading lights attached to the headboard. Finally, the AC Vent blew directly on the bed and I had to cover myself with a blanket to keep the AC or heat off my face. Who ever designed the room obviously never travels. A big no for me when traveling to DC again. …
