Given the situation (COVID-19) our stay was very nice. Some limitations, like only room service food, but not the hotel fault. Only complying with draconian lockdown measures placed on them by Government.
Stayed here for a one-night getaway. It was unusually strange checking into a seemingly empty hotel. The room was fine but it did seem it was due for an update. Make sure you get a room facing the street. We faced a wall and it was like a sensory deprivation experience. Room service was excellent for dinner but breakfast was highly overpriced for what it was.
We haven’t traveled anywhere since January due to Covid but wanted to do something for the holidays. DC is a close drive and our favorite restaurant in America is around the corner from the PH so we decided to book the executive suite and have a one-night in-room dining splurge. I can’t say enough good things about how the hotel is handing Covid. We were greeted at the valet stop by a kind woman who checked us in and then walked us around to the garage - we didn’t want to valet due to Covid so we used their own garage. She guided us every step of the way. Check in was distanced, prompt, and explained all our Virtuoso benefits. They have hand sanitation posts everywhere. Tissues by every elevator. Everyone masked and gloved. We ordered drinks and breakfast from room service and they were delivered contactless and in disposable containers. I can’t explain how serious they are taking Covid and going out of their way to help guests. The suite had sanitizer wipes, hand sanitizers and they removed all the usual germ-riddled items like magazines and minibar items. Check out was flawless and contactless. The hotel is beautiful and modern and our new home when we need a place in DC. Kudos to the entire team for handing the pandemic as best as possible and here is to better days (and many more stays from us!) ahead.…
Having stayed at many other top tier hotels in DC, PH DC is definitely the best option for a relaxing weekend getaway for me. Short walking distance to Georgetown but perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood just off M St. All the staff are very attentive, professional and friendly, and all service requests were responded promptly. Never stayed before the pandemic, but was upgraded to a junior suite in advance with my globalist status on two separate stays recently. Rooms are on a little dated side, but still very cozy and the shower/tub design never gets old. Breakfast from the Blue Duck Tavern was great as well. Being a Hyatt diamond/globalist for many years, I know I am a bit positively biased, but have a higher standard when staying at PH properties. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better stay during this pandemic era. It has quickly become my go to hotel in DC, and can’t wait for another stay after they go back to full service. …
Everything you would expect from a five-star hotel and beyond! There was a small incident at the room we checked in and the front desk took care of it graciously. Kuddos to Stephanie and Brandon for their professionalism and speedy response!
