Aarti Butani & Vivian Lacroix along with the entire Watergate staff provided the most attentive, thoughtful service which made our wedding at the Watergate phenomenal! The accommodations are exemplary! Rooms are high tech and amazing!
Top notch, high quality property with an outstanding service oriented staff. From our initial entry to our final checkout, we felt very welcomed by a friendly staff. We also were able to receive a guided tour of The Scandal Room where the 5 Watergate burglars stayed and strategized their infamous DNC break in. The hotel has a great location within walking distance of Georgetown, The Kennedy Center, White House, etc. It's also very close to the vibrant restaurants on the Potomac waterfront (on the way to Georgetown).
While staying at the Watergate Hotel for a wedding, Yab gave us a fabulous tour of the Scandal Room 214 where the break-in took place 50 years ago on Jun 17, 1972. If you have the time during your stay, ask the concierge for a tour! Better yet, ask for Yab!
We had a great stay at the Watergate Hotel! Yab gave us a 5 star tour of the Scandal room. He is a great asset to the hotel. Fleur is stellar at the front desk. Very warm and welcoming. Beyond that Fleur arranged a special amenity for 63 anniversary the chocolate strawberries were delicious. We were delayed upon arrival due to weather and the hotel staff was very understanding. Which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for the Late check out and laughs with Matthew and Emmanuel.
They charge fees after checkout that are not in your final folio. They also do t answer the phone and won’t answer emails to fix problems. Not to mention some of the rooms need repair desperately. Our room had no working A/C despite maintenance coming three times to fix it, the sink, and the toilet. The rooms are akin to a holiday inn if you aren’t upgraded. The hotel is nice, service is decent, but this is no 5-star hotel. Maybe 3.5 at best.
I received impressive service from Shearenee for very complicated procedures. She served well outside the box to my complete satisfaction. Her supervisor Katy was also on top pf everything and deserves a strong mention. Thank you.
Stayed here for two days to surprise my wife for a quick weekend away. What an amazing experience, from very well appointed room, to friendly service. 5 star hotel in DC. Will be back to this beautiful hotel and fantastic location.
Yeabsiva was the perfect guide for my tour of the scandal room at the Watergate. He pointed out all the highlights and we stood on the balcony where Gordon Liddy orchestrated the break in. I’m so thankful he suggested it and took me on a personal tour himself! It really made my day!
I recently stayed at the Watergate Hotel (Fri, Jun 3 - Sun, Jun 5, 2022) as part of a conference taking place at the Kennedy Center. It was humbling to be staying in such a historic property - I loved being able to visit the Scandal Room and learn all about the Nixon/Watergate scandal in the room where it happened! The location was perfect. I was able to conveniently walk to the Kennedy Center, get my haircut in the Watergate complex - that also has a CVS, a dry cleaner (and a liquor store for those who drink!). The hotel is next to the Foggy Bottom metro (you can catch a free shuttle from the Kennedy Center or walk in less than 10 minutes). The front desk, doormen and sales staff bent over backwards to make sure my group had everything they needed. Lori, Katy, Kristina and Gonzalo were amazing hotel contacts! Breakfast at Kingbird was delicious! The spacious Library and Cecchi Ballroom where great for our meetings. I loved my well-appointed room, with a nice balcony for incredible views! The bathroom was updated, and lighting/temperature controls were something out of Star Trek (very modern)! The hotel gives you both old and new Washington. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, while providing the sophistication, culture and history of our Nation's Capital. Cannot wait to return for another stay!…
My girlfriends and I booked the spa package for our reunion weekend. Spa experience and treatments were top notch. Hotel staff were kind and courteous. Amazing views from Top of the Gate bar. Excellent service and breakfast at Kingbird. Late Sunday check-out included in spa package was an added bonus. Would return!
