Nice hotel within walking distance to concert at Washington National stadium and mall area. The pool was small but nice. The rooftop bar had short hours but food and drinks were available in lobby for purchase. The breakfast was poor and crowded. It closed at 9 am and the line was very long. The rooms were large and quiet. Overall it was a nice hotel.
My family and I stayed here for 4 nights 5 days. We picked this hotel because it is close to the highway, National mall and had a pool. The service was horrible, they never cleaned our room, we had to take out our own garbage, we ran out of toilet paper and asked guest services multiple times to bring some more up to the room and they never did. We literally had to go buy our own. We constantly had to ask for more wash clothes and towels too. There is no bell services so you have to find your own cart and load all your luggage. The AC was not the best in our room especially at night, but it definitely wasn’t on in the hallways or other parts of the hotel. The breakfast was not good at all they served eggo waffles and there was a very long line and not enough seats to accommodate guests. The one good thing was that they serve Starbucks coffee. Overall not the best hotel in DC. We stayed closer to the Capitol building at the Hyatt and another hotel a few times and had a much better experience.…
Service was ok- a few great employees covered the fact that there were many who were crabby. Breakfast was ok- but over crowding made it a bit stressful- elevator was slow and always crowded— maybe it was just because it’s August?
My first time at a Hyatt was great!:-) Room was spacious and clean, gym & pool were the same. Breakfast was generous and well cooked. Valet service was courteous & efficient. Check in & out was the same. Staff moved with speedy purpose and were pleasantly polite. Worth the $$$.
Overall fantastic plaice to stay. Walking distance to major sites and fairly close to metro stops. Clean hotel with friendly staff. The only drawback was there were limited places to eat nearby. Would stay here again.
Hotel was over all bad choice for families and staff were not friendly and indifferent. They even stole stuff some personal and some food. Please avoid this hotel if you want decent experience. Food was ok
Customer service is the benchmark that service organizations like hotels and restuarants base their success upon. This hotel is in a great location, the room was clean when we arrived. Housekeeping made the bed every night and added toiletries and towels but, inexplicably, did not take out the trash every day. It didn't matter much to us but was a little strange. My biggest complaints were the elevators were SLOW, most of the icemakers weren't working, and the morning staff was mixed. One delightful lady was pleasant and helpful, the cook was great but the other server was a sourpuss with a bad attitude the whole time we were down for breakfast. Though we were there long before close at 10am, I witnessed her scold guests for being "late" for breakfast, scold the cook who was only trying to provide the best customer service to guests, and actually shut people in the serving space the second it turned 10am. Breakfast should be in ABUNDANCE UNTIL 10am and then dwindle out as the latest guests get their food. It should not be pre-cleaned starting at 9:30am and shut off to clearly hungry and confused guests precisely at 10am. We loved the location and the lobby bar and upstairs bar staff - they were AMAZING! Even during a rush where the lobby bartender did not have all supplies and mixers she needed she got the job done. Who doesn't have soda water at a bar?. This is a MANAGEMENT issue, not a bartender issue. The management clearly are not maintaining supplies or equipment to provide staff with the tools to do their job. We may return because of the bar staff and the front desk who did deliver the missing towels and blankets we needed. However, if we returned and the breakfast situation was not fixed, we would not stay again. …
Hotel was dirty, stains on the carpet, broken lock on the bathroom, took an hour to wait for the crib to be brought that we even requested at the time of booking, knowing we will be traveling all day with a 1 year old and will be arriving late.. Pool not working and they kept saying come back in an hour - took 3 attempts, kids waiting in their swimming suits for it to be open. Free breakfast was okay,
My family was in town for a special event and booked two rooms. Upon arrival at 3:00pm (normal check-in time), I was told our room wasn't ready and would be at least an hour. I told the front desk guy that this was an issue because we had to get ready and be at a special event that evening. There was no sympathy or a willingness to speed things up. Breakfast was a madhouse and we ended up leaving to get breakfast elsewhere, which is a shame. Housekeeping walked into our room at 9am with a light knock and just walked in before I could even get to the door. Not OK! I stay at many Hyatt properties, but would never stay here again. Location was good but that's about it.
Great location for visiting DC. Bus stops and subway are a very short walk from the hotel. After a few days a hotel provided breakfast can get a little stale, but they tried to mix it up a little bit each day, GREAT scrambled eggs and the staff at Breakfast were amazing. Only disappointment was when the pool was closed all day ON A SATURDAY, in the middle of summer for adding chemicals. Very disappointing. If going to the bar be prepared for big city prices. Would definitely book again
