Great boutique hotel by Rosewood. Right in the heart of Georgetown, this hotel has small but well styled rooms with lovely spacious bathrooms. Robes and sheets are consistent with Rosewood quality. The Wolfgang Puck restaurant CUT Is exceptional. The rooftop is fun with very small plunge pool, bar and gym that meet basic needs. Great views from the roof as well. Service was helpful and friendly but not as polished as some other properties I have stayed at by Rosewood. Television did not offer movies on demand. Bathroom stood out with lovely tub and shower.
I have travelled the world and this is my new favorite place to sleep. I was in awe with the make over and the dining experience was better than at Jean George! The bed was super comfortable and the room exquisite. Not sure I wanted to share this new little gem!
Great physical space - intimate. Tailored. We stayed in suite 407 and loved the long hall in the suite as well as an excellent and spacious bathroom. Shower was outstanding. Everyone on staff was outstanding and professional. The rooftop bar is an added bonus. We are frequent four seasons users and the price point here when we came was much better for the value. The only thing truly lacking is the gym - really small and fairly useless.
Our recent stay at this sophisticated, non-touristy oasis clinched its status as our new go-to hotel in DC. Our room was spacious and attractive, the bathroom featured the best rain shower on the planet, and the staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and calm (no easy-listening music or screaming kids). We particularly enjoyed our several interactions with the highly personable concierge Romaine. Not only did he give us great tips about DC, but our shared enthusiasm for international travel led to fun and informative discussions of past and upcoming destinations.
We were able to upgrade to a Deluxe for a reasonable price. The room was spacious and had a fine view of the canal. There was a large bathroom with 2 sinks, lots of counter space, and both a walk-in shower and a luxurious bathtub. The closet space was a little limited, but we managed. Definitely worth the extra $. The hotel bar was comfy and quiet (Sound Print check a mellow 60 dB), an excellent place for a nightcap, with perfectly prepared cocktails.
The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing. More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities. Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel. I had to go grocery shopping. They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience. The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor….and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar. The room is small and inconvenient. The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall. One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus. More accurately this is a brick wall view. There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals. It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand. They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade.…
We visit DC often and always look to stay at this hotel. The difference is the service. It’s obvious that they have good people working there that are dedicated to making your stay special. All three of the folks that work the front desk know your name and I make it a point to know there’s. The rooftop pool with the fireplace place is a lot of fun with spectacular views. We can’t wait to return for our next visit.
Honestly, the best of the best! Traveled for the weekend to DC and had a wonderful stay at the Rosewood. Everyone was so accommodating from the start and the service during breakfast was perfection. Great location- short drive to all the main places. Highly recommend!
Such a cute hotel in DC and walking distance to a lot of shops and places to eat CUT DC on the first floor was one of the best meals of my life Highly recommend stopping by the bar for a drink Thank u Rosewood!
Amazing hotel experience in a wonderful part of DC. It’s a smaller hotel that does a stellar job of balancing the finesse of a larger hotel with the intimacy of a boutique one. The team remembers everyone’s name and does to whatever they can to make your stay a memorable one.
