We stayed here as a family of 4 for 5 days. First of all the hotel in itself was excellent and the service outstanding. The location was perfect, we booked a room with Sakura club access and couldn't been happier. Will stay there again
All I can say is WOW!! The service is top notch. From the moment we walked in, the welcome we received was excellent. Check in was a breeze. I like to recognize Nabila and Daria first. They took the time to familiarize us we the hotel and the surrounding area. Daria emailed us recommendations in the area. When I asked is there a refrigerator in the room, Nabila said we do not but we can send a mini one to your room if needed. That response alone deserves a standing ovation. The hotel checked on us the next day by text and asked us if still wanted the room cleaned because we slept in. We texted them and the room was clean upon our return. Next amazing experience was I asked for a band aid for my wife and they both asked is she ok. They even followed up with me the next day. Michael Schotens, the Food and Beverage Manager took the time to talk with us in the bar every night. He is an amazing staff member. He recommended us to watch the fireworks from the room during the 4th of July. Great firework display. Other members of the hotel I would like to give a huge shoutout to is: Matthias, who is a great bartender, Ernesto and Kiki at the front desk. Rooms are spacious with plenty of drawer space. The nearest metro station is about a 10 minute walk. If you need a taxi, you can usually find a few parked in front of the hotel. Definitely stop by the bar for a drink, the staff is great. I can honestly say, I cannot think of another hotel in Washington DC I would stay at than the Conrad. Thank you again for making our anniversary trip a memorable one.…
The Conrad is a great place to stay. They blew my expectations away. Wife and I stayed in a room that gave us access to the Sakura Club. It was well worth it. Weather did not cooperate and we decided to stay at the hotel and have dinner at the Sakura Club rather than go out for dinner. The dinner, both nights, was AMAZING!!! Seriously, we got as good or a better meal than going out and paying $$$. I leave it at this. The staff at the hotel was great. The staff at the Sakura Club from manager to chef to staff were some of the nicest, friendliest, finest people I have met. When I return to DC I’ll stay only at the Conrad with access to the Sakura Club. Stay - you will be glad you did.
Outstanding hotel with service to match! This was my first time staying at this property although I had spent time in a suite with a friend who stayed here previously. The hotel is very luxurious with very attentive staff. I would highly recommend staying here although it is pricey.
What an amazing place to relax and enjoy your DC vacation. We spent 5 days in Conrad last month and from the day we reached to the hotel we received very warm welcome from Bruce and his team . They offered us cold bottle of water and some snacks as we reached hotel around 11.30 pm. Once we reached in our room it was so beautiful perfect setting of everything and what a beautiful view of outside from the room. We had delicious breakfast in Estuary , which is in third floor of the hotel and yes their roof top is another gem you can see gorgeous views from that place. Second day I met with Jamuel who is their another staff member and he was so helpful . He printed a list of all the beautiful places for us so we can enjoy DC and suggested lot of good restaurants also. Me and my husband can’t thank enough Jamuel , Bruce and other staff members at Conrad who made our stay so beautiful and wonderful . We can’t wait for our next DC trip . I highly recommend this hotel to everyone if you want to enjoy real DC vibes !…
A few bumps but mostly worked out well for a quick trip. We never received a notification that our room was ready at noon - we ended up checking in around 12:30, they upgraded std king room to a higher floor double queen. I asked for a executive club level upgrade and she only offered me a paid upgrade. I guess that is a thing at this location. Our room had a great view and was spacious and well appointed. The concierge was very helpful before our arrival providing information for dining in the area as well as other tourist info. I inquired about parking since Conrad only has valet at $60; they are "attached" to the City Center parking so we parked there - was suppose to have been given weekend rate of $22 for overnight - we went 2 hours over 24 hours and they charged us $42. Even though daily was flat $10. (at most should have been $32.... ) No fault to the Conrad - just FYI. The room was very nice; however food and drinks here are not great and obviously extremely overpriced. Drinks at rooftop are mostly $20+ and so-so; We had dinner at the bar on the 3rd floor- the food was just blah and the bartender made us two very disappointing margaritas. Booking via AmEx FHR - you get a $100 food and beverage credit, late checkout, upgraded room along w/ a free breakfast. It's a great perk for having a Platinum card (which of course you are paying a hefty annual fee for having!) The breakfast was a mix up as the host was unfamiliar w/ our breakfast (free or $60 value)- it was poorly worded and we ended up having to return to our room and show him the paper we rec'd at checkin, He was very gracious and apologized and handled it appropriately, however, a bit awkward for us. The $60 barely covers breakfast for two, btw. Unfortunately, we would opt to stay somewhere else as I feel they were 0 for 3 in the dining dept. I was contacted afterwards and awarded some HH points which I thought was appropriate and of good service on their part. The location is good for getting to the big attractions - it is a safe area. The bellman and the front staff are top notch. Great shopping right around the corner too! …
Our extended family had the privilege of being guests here for two days and it was a very positive experience! The property itself is everything you expect from a modern luxury hotel, but what all of us enjoyed even more, was the warm yet professional service we experienced in all our interactions. The human element has the ability to take a good stay and turn it into a memorable experience- thank you Stephanie and Rebekah for doing that for our family! A sincere smile and a personalized word of welcome each time we walked back in the door made us feel valued and at home. As with any big group, over time we did have a few minor issues with food and beverage orders being forgotten and other normal hiccups, but the important thing is there was always concern, understanding, and resolution. We looked at all the luxury properties in the city before choosing The Conrad, and we are confident that we made the correct choice. Our highlight was savoring desserts on the outdoor terrace as a family- one of those moments that can never be duplicated, only enjoyed. On behalf of all of us, thank you for being our hosts- we loved every minute!…
The Conrad is an oasis of tranquility in the center of bustling fast-paced DC. The property itself is chic and beautiful - the rooms are well appointed with every amenity one might need. The rain showers in the guest room bathrooms are heaven. The staff throughout the hotel were true professionals and were friendly and kind during every interaction. If you’re thinking of staying here, do not pass up the opportunity to book a room with Sakura club access. The Sakura staff are passionate about providing a world class hospitality experience and they did not disappoint. The room price differential is well worth it given the level of service, amenities, and food and beverage included in the price. The views from the Sakura club and the rooftop bar are stunning. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the national mall and a quick Uber from anywhere in the city one might need to go. This is now my home away from home in DC where I visit often - I cannot consider staying elsewhere.…
While we only stayed for one night we found the Conrad in DC to be amazing, the location was ideal and the rooms/suites and restaurants were all perfect. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar 'Summit', the view is beautiful and the staff was not only attentive but very nice. Speaking of staff, the front desk team were fantastic as were the Valet guys, We wanted to give a special shout-out to Ahmed the Front Desk manager, he went out of his way to ensure we were happy and even escorted us to the Summit (you need to take a few different elevators from the lobby). We are already looking forward to our return the next time we're in DC.
Although this hotel might not be to your taste if you’re a fan of right angles and linear design, I found its curves beautiful. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. The room and public spaces were immaculate, so kudos to the cleaning staff. Finally, the French toast in the beautiful breakfast room was delicious. I was here on business, but I look forward to coming back here for a recreational visit.
