I absolutely love this hotel. At is beautiful, friendly and helpful staff. It's steps from the White House on Black Lives Matter Plaza. The only thing missing is the wonderful coffee service that was set up daily in the lobby. A victim of the pandemic I'm sure, I hope they bring the coffee back. It was so good I actually looked up the brand and started buying it for our office.

Stay Report - 7/30 to 7/31 Location: Really good.  It's fun to walk out of your hotel and look to the left and say "huh there's the White House".  Also nothing wrong with being across from a P.J. Clarke's.  It's near a bunch of Metro stations and I found several CVS locations open on Sunday.  It's also an easy 10 minute drive to DC.  I really liked being here. Hotel: Really lovely.  The lobby especially is breathtaking.  I didn't spend much time outside my room though so I can't comment on anything else. I will say absolutely everyone I dealt with provided phenomenal service.  That was really appreciated.  Check In: I arrived at 2:45 AM thanks to flight delayed.  I'd messaged the hotel ahead of time and they had my keys prepared.  The agent on duty despite it being the middle of the night was incredibly friendly and believe me it was appreciated.  I got a late checkout with no trouble and was offered points or a $60 F&B credit for breakfast Room: Disappointing.  I used a SNA which upgraded me to a Metropolitan Suite which by no stretch of the imagination can be called a suite.  It's just a big room which I'm sure is great for dance parties, Twister games and floor picnics but it did very little for me.  I had an uncomfortable couch, voyeur chair and a tiny desk.  I also got stuck with an accessible room which made for a disappointing shower.  My view was literally of a dumpster.  Dining: I was impressed the bar stayed open until 1 AM not that I could use it.  I used my breakfast credit for room service which came promptly and was all good I think next time I'll save the SNA.  I appreciate the service and location but really disliked my room

As soon as I walked in the front door I felt like I was transported to an elegant hotel in France. Everyone was beyond accommodating and friendly! We had the butler service which they responded immediately with any of our requests. We were upgraded to a corner room which was grand. Our breakfast were delicious specially with the $60 credit from each was a perk from being a bonvoy member. Within two blocks of the White House made sightseeing very easy. A magnificent hotel and amazing service!

Pros: Great location, pretty lobby, bar, and restaurant. A classy feel for a Marriott. Cons: 1) This is an alarming trend if the 4 hotels I've recently stayed at are any indication, but there is virtually NO STORAGE FOR CLOTHING. Yes, a narrow closet with a few hangers, but in a room meant for 2+ people, why in God's name are there only TWO 12x12 inch drawers??? 2) As per other reviews, the gym is indeed in a tiny corner of the basement, which you have to find yourself. There are NO signs pointing you to that tiny corner. After a pre-workout hike, you may happen upon a tiny sign marked,"Regis Fitness Club". Inside that "club", which is the size of a basic queen room, there are zero regular ellipticals and no bikes. 3) Heavy winter comforters on the bed. No alternative lighter weight blanket (or feather-free pillows) in the closet. My partner--who has been known to sleep through a hurricane--and I both woke up on several occasions damp with sweat. I"m so frustrated by these basic shortcomings in a hotel charging such high prices. It really doesn't take much to make customers feel appreciated and comfortable--which is your job, after all.

We had a great stay at The St.Regis DC. We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room and had great service from all employees including the restaurant, butlers, housekeeping, concierge and front desk. Adrian and Robert were great from the front desk and made sure we were always taken care of. Leslie and Bryan from the concierge were so amazing with helping us navigate our way through DC restaurants and local areas. Highly recommend a stay at the Regis!

There was bed bugs at my room!my daughter got bits at her arm!!once we checked out we went directly to Citymed urgent care who diagnosed her with bed bugs bites due to dirty beds at the hotel. I am really disappointed why most of 5 stars hotels in US cleaning quality is deteriorated !! Bath room towels smells nasty, in dining services trays and food appliances dirty.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Alhambra restaurant inside the St. Regis hotel in Washington DC. The manager and the server, Sofiane, went out of their way to be attentive and make it a special evening. We were seated in private booth that seemed like we were royalty. The appetizers were great and we shared a plate of homemade hummus, tzatziki and tapenade with freshly baked and grilled pita bread and raw vegetables. We also shared a Mediterranean salad that was fresh with many condiments. My wife’s filet mignon was cooked to perfection and my fresh salmon was also well prepared. The accompanying vegetables were excellent especially the green beans. Sofiane came numerous times to check on us. I am gluten free and Sofiane reported on his discussions with the chef in preparing the courses of my meal, including the desserts that were offered gratis for my wife’s birthday. My only suggestion would be to have some bottles of good wines under $100, such as we have ordered at the Alhambra over prior years. We were married in this hotel when it was the Sheraton Carlton, and the food and service have been excellent in our returns for special occasions.

We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Imaginative sandwich presentation and impeccable patisserie were the highlights. Delightful flower displays in this long established Washington favourite hotel. Waitress told us about staff shortages which meant the service was slow and below the standard one could reasonably expect at this level. I would expect loose leaf tea and strainers for this level of pricing too. Overall we had a lovely afternoon
