I spent $100 for a day pass to the pool, thinking it would be much more relaxing than going to the free public pools around DC-- and I couldn't have been more wrong. Soon after I arrived around 12:30 pm on a Thursday, the small rooftop pool was crowded with at least 12 screaming, splashing kids running around and absolutely no one enforcing any rules. The kids hung out on the pool stairs so no one else even get in the pool, they kept splashing me (seated at a pool chair - all the chairs are right @ the pool's edge) and getting my book and laptop wet. They kept *screaming* and jumping off the edges, it felt like I was at a 12-year-olds birthday party. Not at all what I wanted to do with my last day of summer break!! I get it, how crowded the pool is or how many kids are there may be out of Yotel's control - but then don't charge ** $100 ** for a pool pass when you aren't offering $100 worth of accommodations. I was honestly expecting a much more pleasant experience or I n e v e r would have splurged on this pass. I will not be returning & definitely will not be recommending YOTEL'S Deck 11 pool to any of my friends or colleagues. Worst $100 I've ever spent in DC, I'm really, really disappointed.

My family and I recently traveled to DC by train for our summer vacation and stayed at hotel. The hotel itself was clean sleek and modern I used the gym which was more than adequate. The beds were Posturepedic reclining and sitting upright which was cool the TV was embedded into the wall or is my wife said recessed and I believe it was 4D. There were some unexpected fees that when I spoke with the manager Anthony he quickly explained to me and put our fears at ease. I'm a Yotel fan and I'm an Anthony fan. I look forward to our next visit. Trey Harris

Room was quirky and more space than I thought we would have. The shower was great with all amenities. Yes some people complained about not having tea and coffee facilities in the room but they were available at the end of the hall so no big problem. Staff were helpful and everything was clean. Would stay again

From the moment we arrived at Yotel DC we were impressed. The rooms and facilities were excellent! The pool area was so pretty and the hot water/coffee/ice station on each floor, genius! But what made this stay a 10/10 for my husband and I was the staff! Ross, Eric, Barry and Belay were so friendly and incredibly accommodating. From answering questions, helping us catch a cab to Ross giving excellent recommendations for entertainment during our stay. My husband and I can’t wait to come back!

Very cute, clean rooms! Small space but it was just myself so I didn’t mind but if you’re traveling in multiples, I would upgrade. Inclining bed which I loved. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is in perfect area to walk Capitol Hill. The hotel itself has an app which was also helpful.

Can’t beat this hotel for price and location if you have a short stay. Rooms are efficient, clean, well lit and the bed is very comfortable. No fridge in the room but coffee service and ice water on every floor. And for me they was the only drawback. The coffee area is just off the elevator and folks tended to linger there and talk like it’s literally a coffeehouse. So be sure to get a room away from the elevators. Short of that, it’s terrific!

Great hotel, VERY clean. Staff was friendly and check in was quick and efficient. The rooms had more than enough room for three adults. Everything felt new, and the rooms even smelled fresh and new. Instead of coffee in the rooms, there is a coffee station on every floor near the elevators. It was a really nice touch, with fresh ground coffee and three different bled choices. The beds were comfortable, and adjustable so you could sit up in bed. The rooftop pool was nice, clean and well maintained . There aren’t a-lot of lounge chairs, but we able to find open ones when all the times we went. It was never crowded, and we were there on some very hot July days! Drinks were expensive, we paid $16 for an average size Malibu Bay Breeze. But we did expect it being in a city. Our only complaints were that there was an additional $23 charge per night for like a hotel use fee or something like that. We did use the pool, so we got our money’s worth, but that was kind of annoying. And since it’s a no frills type of hotel, the front desk didn’t have any earplugs when we asked. They told us to try across the street at the Hyatt, lol. There was a vending machine in the lobby that had some things like that, tooth brush, Advil, and even condoms (!) But no ear plugs. Parking garage is connected to the hotel and is $50/night. We arrived at like 1:30am but we were still charged for that night. Not sure if you can take your car in and out; we left ours parked there the whole time. The location is great, not in the busy downtown area, but really close to the capital building and short walk to the national mall. We utilized ubers a lot to get to some restaurants and some further sight seeing. We would definitely stay here again, and also at another Yotel property!

If you want minimal amenities then this place is fine. I came down to DC for work and it was inconvenient because the wifi stopped working every now and then. There’s no mini fridge or room service so you have to leave the hotel to get food unless you want to eat at their restaurant. The restaurant however closes at 3 on Mondays and Tuesdays. Early in the morning they do their cleaning rounds and I was often woken up by the doors slamming every two minutes. If your looking solely for a place to sleep then yotel is fine if your looking for a comfortable homey place then look elsewhere.

Good day Emmers246, Thank you for choosing to stay at Yotel Washington DC. We appreciate your business and value your feedback as we continuously strive to improve everyday for our guests. The wifi outages is deeply regrettable and I understand the frustration that can cause especially when doing work. We are actively recruiting for key positions that would allow us to expand the hours of operation for our restaurant, Art and Soul. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience with you directly. If convenient, please reach out to me directly so that we can begin a dialogue and I can attempt to make it right. We hope you will give us another opportunity to earn your business in the future. In service, Matt Sommers, General Manager matt.sommers@yotel.com

Traded points with RCI to stay at the Yotel during the 4th of July Weekend, arrived on the 1st and checked out on the 5th. The Yotel formerly the Liason was a 6 minute walk to the Captial building with that the Mall and Union Station( 3 block walk are nearby. This was a perfect spot to stay for the holiday. The hotel was very clean and it had the theme of a spaceship( Mission Control was the Front Desk). Our room was everything we needed for the stay except there is no bureau to store clothes so you must live out of your suitcase. The only issue during our stay was the phones to the front desk were out then entire time so if we needed something we had to go down to the front desk to request it. Our baggage was handled with care and the valet's gave us great ideas on dining options. We were smart and brought our own water, soda, and snacks which saved us money. There is a nice breakfast spot that looks like a Panera Bread right around the corner. Breakfasts there were great and affordable. The meals in the hotel were typical D.C. on the expensive side. Parking was right under the Yotel and it was $50 a day with elevator access. Overall I enjoyed our stay at the Yotel and I would not hesitate to stay there or at another location when travelling. The D.C. Yotel is an ideal location for a couple or family travelling to see the sights.

I just stayed here five nights as part of a small college reunion. The Self check in is OK, but required a little assistance. I must stay the staff that I met were very gracious and hospitable folks. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but kind of bare bones. At least they have some comfortable chairs. I did not sample the restaurant, but did make use of the pool. Overall, a satisfactory stay, although these days prefer hotels that are a little more luxurious.
