This was our first stay in Sigulda. Excellent B&B: pleasant rooms; delicious breakfasts; efficient, friendly, helpful staff; 2 miles from Bobsled-Skeleton track. Looking forward to staying here on next trip to Sigulda.

Villa Alberta is a wonderful place to stay - peaceful, customer-oriented, luxorious. Every room has got its own theme and the suite is to die for - king-size bed, jacuzzy. We loved it and plan to visit it again next summer ☺

We stayed one night in this B&B in late October, 2017. I called to say we would be a couple hours late for check in, which was no issue. The location is a few kilometers from the main part of town, off in a suburb. We arrived about 5 pm or so and were promptly and courteously checked in with an offer of breakfast for 6 euros each, which we accepted. The man at the desk also offered us some great suggestions for dinner, which turned out very nice. There looks to be a nice living area for having a drink or two, but we didn't take advantage of this. The room itself (we booked the Royal suite), which was absolutely great! It is very spacious, with a bedroom, dining area, and large bathroom. The bathroom has a nice size jacuzzi, although the shower is one of those small, circular European ones. There are also three different small balconies, in front and in back, for views of the woods and the front street. The bed is very comfortable, with four posters and soft blankets and pillows. There is a small refrigerator (that must be plugged in) in the dining area. There is also a large closet and plenty of drawer space. The satellite television has plenty of channels, albeit none in English that I could find. My only complaint about the room would be the carpet, which has seen better days, and has many stains on it. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, with many choices. Eggs, sausages, vegetables, breads, fruits, cereals, coffee, juice, etc. As far as I can tell, there was only one other family staying there, and they came after we had finished out breakfast, so the selection was that much more impressive given how few guests were there. And I apologize to the other family for eating all the delicious Latvian pickles before they came down. Hopefully, there were more available... Checkout was also smooth and friendly. Overall, a very nice guest house to stay in Sigulda. I would definitely recommend this location.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Was in the new Orleans room which had a great view across to the park. Room was large and comfortable. It's a shortish hike of 2k into town and is a bit closer to the park entrance. A great value place to stay. Would definitely recommend it as a good option in sigulda

Since I booked the best room in the house, i cannot speak for the others. When I made the reservation, the room was simply called luxury room and I did not know if it was the specific room pictured. Now each room has a name so you will know exactly the room you have selected will be your room. So now luxury room is called Royal Suite. It is a beautiful room in spite of the dark heavy bedspread and curtains. I put the spread and chair pillows into a cabinet to get them out of the way. The room looks elegant with the white comforter and embroidered white bed pillows. The bed is king sized and comfortable. There is a lovely little sitting nook with table and chairs, refrigerator (with freezer compartment in case you would like to have some ice for your drinks. The little balconies are nice (3 of them) and let in fresh air. The bath room is luxurious with an oversized spa tub plus a separate shower and a bidet in a spacious room. Breakfast offers everything you could want...eggs and sausage, one or more fruits, porridge, bread, jam, yogurt and more. Nice quality tea is available for the tea drinkers. We enjoyed that. The only thing I felt was lacking was a curtain across the bathroom balcony door. I felt self conscious about that. The desk staff speak enough English to assure your needs are met and will help with locating sites on the map or making a phone call to arrange a tour. If you are not traveling by car, this house will not be convenient for you. It is located in a residential neighborhood not in walking distance to dining or other places of interest.

This place is in a nice building, but was really quiet when we went. We were really looking forward to a sauna but on arrival told that the sauna and jacuzzi would cost 70 euros. Obviously no one would pay that! That was really disappointing. The other issue I had was that it's actually a bit of a trek from the town, with no nearby shops. The hotel has no drinks or food to offer other than breakfast (which costs 6 euros on top) so if you need something to eat get ready for a 40minute round trip. If you are better prepared than I was and bring snacks back for later you will be fine though. The staff are fine, there was a slightly older lady who was ny favourite. She was So helpful and got us a glass of juice and was really helpful and pushed my review score up a mark! Overall, it's fine, just a little bit remote.

Excellent design and comfort of signature rooms, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for her - any our query was well attended and answrered. All tourist spots and restaurants are within walking distance. Rental bikes were out of order, a bit weird Sat TV system in the rooms, where you have to flip through hundreds of rubish chanels to find something useful.

The room was very spacious, had a nice balcony and the whole atmosphere felt deeply pleasant. The staff, breakfast and overall stay for the price we paid is a 5/5! Though the jacuzzi and other extras could have been little cheaper. Despite that, we definitely recommend this Villa.

very nice hotel in a quite part of town. the rooms are not big (or maybe ours wasn't too big as we booked last minute) but very pleasant. each room is decorated in a different way with a personality. the rooms are clean and comfortable. the hotel is not very central and close to the restaurants but with a bike everywhere is close and you're able to take different cycling routs close by. the staff is helpful too. the breakfast could be richer.

Rooms nicely decorated (each has a theme), also some good communal spaces. Great bathroom. It isn't made clear until you arrive that the sauna and spa cost extra, and at a charge of 70 euro for two hours it is significantly so! They had bikes to hire but couldn't find the key for a lock so we had to walk elsewhere (about 10 minutes) to hire some which was a bit of a pain.
