A lovely place to stay, nice, warm and clean rooms. Heated bathroom floors. Rooms cleaned daily. Asked for permission to change bed sheets and tidy up. Child friendly. Good variety of food for breakfast bufet . Lovely and polite members of staff. Could do with a sealing light as our room only had small bedsit lamps. Would also be nice to have a matt in the shower itself. Beds are nice and comfortable. Tv doesn't have much channels to choose from would be nice to have more of a variety but as we don't watch much of TV it didnt matter as much it was only for some late evenings. Will be coming back in the future 👍 Plenty of space for car parking. Ouh we did experience a bit of a down side one evening. We had to travel in and out and it has only one entrance to the hotel by car. One evening there was a show going on and other people coming in and out of the drive way. when we wanted to leave we had to wait ages to get out, cars just kept coming and coming, staff didnt pay attention to us wanting to leave ,they didnt stop the cars so we could get out, they didnt direct cars to one side so we could get out,the cars coming in drove in the middle, staff stood in middle talking to them. we literally had to force out way out.. better management needed. other than that nice place to stay

That hotel is really nice. I felt like in a castle. My room was very big and cleaned. Staff was very kind. Breakfast was good and big. The hotel is not located in center town, maybe 4-5km, but there is a bus which is stopping near. It's an ideal place for family, because hotel has a green area and plays for kids. In winter it's possible to ski.

This small hotel is located just on the edge of Kaķīškalns. After skiing, cycling, or any other activity it is possible to relax in sauna complex upstairs that has a hot water bowl/jacuzzi on the terrace with nice view. Rooms are large and convenient, yet the breakfast could be tricky. Most of the croissants and cold cuts were eaten by the family with always-hungry teenagers, but there was nobody from the staff present to take care of refilling the trays.

We visited Sigulda ( one hour drive from the capital Riga) and Kaķītis on Friday when school holidays started in March and guess... we were the only guests in the hotel, our kids (6 and 4 years old) were only ones on the hill to enjoy their sledges. In the cafe waiting time to get warm dish was 15 minutes and for us it is important factor as our newborn (5 months) is learning patience. We pre-ordered spa part with inside&outside jacuzzi, warm and hot sauna and steam bath and whole evening it was with exclusivity only for us:) which we did not even expect. They offer water with oranges and lemon as refreshment in the spa area free and its possible to order other drinks as well. I was sad a bit to make sofa in our hotel room for our kids by my own, but othwerwise staff is very helpuful. Both family rooms what hotel has are with entrance from outside the building so that in deep winter you need coat to go to breakfast or spa area. To avoid it better to make reservation for 2 double rooms which are on ground floor and then you do not need to use staircase. And cafe which is in other building has open fire place heated with birch wood and it gives very romantic atmosphere!

Located just next to where ski Kakiskalns track. It's convenient place for lunch or dinner after ski activities of the day. This place offers great view of amazing valley of river Gauja. The food are great and prices of the food are reasonable. Certainly we will come back for more.

Stayed in the kakitis for 2 night's with my wife and 2 kids aged 7 and 12. Great location close to Sigulda. Clean comfortable room, nice breakfast. Very good food in the restsurant. But the best part is the onsite tree top activity centre. Only down side was the grumpy man in reception

A separate section should be available for the restaurant affiliated with the hotel. the food is great and the prices are very reasonable. The location is wonderful and the outside terrace overlooks the ski hill. We had the grilled pork which is a local dish. We also had the delicious cold beet soup, also delicious. The outside of the building looks very soviet, but once you come inside you will be pleasantly surprised.

We stopped here for lunch while driving from Riga to Sigulda. Excellent value for money and the food was delicious. They have a lovely outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant which offers great views of the valley. This a good place to come with the family and is very child-friendly. It seems stuck in a Soviet-era time warp which made for a unique, interesting atmosphere that we really enjoyed. We loved it so much that we stopped here again for lunch when we were driving back to Riga 3 days later!

The hotel is classy. The staff is friendly and they even have pool/spa room witch you can rent for a few hours. And in winter you can go skiing right by the hotel and then enjoy hot chocolate in a cafe by the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay with my family
