They say the sauna is free for hotel quests until 11 аm, but it is an absolute lie! You will have to pay for it. Spa was one of the reasons we chose this hotel and we got nothing.
The issues that cost it more stars:
The bathroom - only wall-mounted soap dispensers by the sink and in the shower -- make the effort to get some nice bath products and your guests will be happier. Also the tub - I'm 5'7", and it was a bit of a climb to get in and out of the tub. For a smaller woman, it would be very difficult.
Noise - the hotel is on a busy street. Getting insulated windows could reduce the noise in the room. I am a city dweller, so I am used to noise, but this was exceptionally loud until about midnight.
Window shades - in my room, they were very difficult to operate, which is a problem during the summer when the sun does down at 11 p.m. and comes up before 4 a.m.
Bedding - it was clean, but nothing special. Invest in nice sheets and fluffy pillows.
Minibar - there was none, nor was there any bottled water.
You are better off staying in an actual hostel, you will get the same amenities without the awful staff.
Piece of advice: when you complain about your room, get it IN WRITING that they will give you a refund. Even if you book through booking.com.
The issues began before even walking into the room, the carpets in the hallways were stained and old but not nearly as bad as in the room itself. In the room, the first thing the pops out at you is the million different colours of spills, splashes and, what I can only assume, bodily liquids. The furniture was old and comically broken - I don’t think there was a single thing in the room that did not have a broken part. Soap and shampoo come in filthy old dispensers, very similar to hostels in Thailand. But the pubic hair in the drinking glass was the last straw.
I complained the next morning (because I arrived at 3am - late flight). The lady at the desk was polite but offered no solutions. I was hurrying to my grandmother’s funeral service so did not take it any further then. I came back in the afternoon and complained again when I saw the room was not even cleaned since I complained! The concierge pretended to not even remember talking to me in the morning and went up to the room to check it out. She agreed the room was not clean and not as described. I wrote a complaint on a piece of paper that she gave me and she said the hotel would contact me in two weeks. It’s been two months, I’ve written to them twice and booking.com have emailed and phoned them several times on my behalf. They completely ignore the emails and when called, tell you to email them instead!
