Nestled on picturesque hills with easy access to Rishikesh, Shaantam Resorts and Spa emerges as a serene retreat praised for its tranquil atmosphere and pet-friendly amenities. Guests are charmed by the luxurious private terraces and the array of relaxation options, not to mention the hotel's exceptional service that adds a personal touch to each stay. While the rooms are spacious and clean, some visitors have pointed out minor maintenance issues. Despite the overall neatness and coziness, a few guests feel that the resort doesn't quite live up to its value proposition, recommending other alternatives.

Had a pleasant stay for 03 nights with family including kids.

One can experince the professionalism and hospitality right from entry whether security guard who to my surprise used to clean all guests’ car each morning, vallet driver or housekeeping staff who were always nice and greeted every guest warmly.

The restraunt served freshly prepared and nicely garnished meals and Mr. Jitender Negi and his team including Manjeet were all very proactive in suggesting meal ideas and dishes and hurridely used to get baby food ready from kitchen as well.

Property is very well maintained, uniquely designed rooms and cottages along with lots of green outdoor sitting spaces and lawn areas which provided refreshing break from urban jungle.

We stayed in Premium cottage and the room was very spacious with a king size bed, 02 chairs with coffee table and a seperate sofa and centre table for living space. The balcony with sitting space was added advantage.

Bathroom was large enough with modern fittings and a full size bath tub.

Property is kids friendly as has a large hall with high quality music system, indoor games such as table tennis, carom, other tables and dart games, billiards etc.

All across the property there are benches provided to sit in outdoor setting.

All rooms except deluxe rooms without balcony face towards the valley.

I strongly recommend and would visit again on my trip to Rishikesh.

Booking, check-in and check-out was hassle free handled by Mr. Paras Sahni.

Had a nice stay here with my fiance. Room was very luxurious and had a lot of complimentary things. Great Indian tea selection, nescafe, extra towels, electric heater, late afternoon brownie. The garden in the area is superb.

We used the spa and for a full body massage which included dry sauna and steam sauna. However, since it is winter here in January the facilities are quite cold. Floor and walls in the steam sauna was very wet and cold, only open air in the room was slowly heating us up to sweating temperatures. As mention it is winter though, so set your expectations. For example the outdoor pool is not very pleasant in these temperatures, but it is probably great during the hotter parts of the year. 😉

Restaurant made really good food, we just had some problems getting your vegan diet explained so that everyone was on the same page, with what is 'pure veg' and what is vegan. We value the environment, the animals and the health. What could be improved is the menu, marking which dishes can be made without animal products.

The only thing that was disappointing with the food was the 'turmeric latte', which was first served with only hot soymilk when trying to make it vegan. Then after some dispute, we were compensated with another one sent to the room. However, this not really what I expect a turmeric latte to look like and taste like. Very bright yellow and no taste of turmeric and other spices.

We arrived here with a booking for 3 days and opted for premium cottage with which we did not have a pleasant leisurely stay.

1. We asked the reception team to clean our room on the first day and surprisingly it was not cleaned when we came back in the evening.

2. There was some sewage problem which propagated a foul smell in the bathroom. The same smell was present in the room during our second and third day. There was no action taken even after intimating the management on the matter. For the bathroom, they provided air pockets which were also not sufficient.

3. To our suprise we also found that used bathroom accessories where given and even after informing about the same the management did not refresh it till the end of our stay.

4. Food on room service was good but breakfast options are limited and similar if stay is for more than a day.

So overall experience expected after booking a premium cottage was not worth it.

One of the worst spa experiences I have had till date. The massage was okay and was followed by a series of events which were totally in control of the hotel management. The steam room stopped working so in the mid way, they asked us to switch the steam room. Then we moved to the shower, where in the hot water stopped working. In the middle of the shower, I had to get dressed, go to the room and complete my shower. Given the exorbitant prices (~2500 for massages), the service is subpar & is completely not worth it. Based on my personal experience, strictly avoidable and deserves a 0 star rating.

The overall resort is good. The food is good an the service crew is great. The property is gorgeous. On the flip side, it is quite a drive from Rishikesh & given the bad road conditions, takes about an hour to get here. If you are looking for Rishikesh sighseeing, this probably isnt the best choice. This is marketed as a “retreat” and thats exactly what it is. I also spoke to the general manager Sagar so comments like “not finding booking” are not relevant.

Given the different experiences within the resort it deserves probably 3 stars at best.

The resort is 22 kms away from Rishikesh and after all the effort once you reach there you realise that there isn’t much to do inside the resort as it has no gym, no yoga classes, no recreational or in-house activities and sadly no nearby places to go and explore.

If you only aim to relax then you can go here as all you can do here is sleep and eat. The spa has a very limited staff and can only attend one person at a time. However the lady who attends you is very good.

The resort has great staff but the standards are not at all 5 star like. Our bedding and towels were stained, also our room had dampness in its walls. The food though good has very limited options to choose from, the breakfast menu is not all like that of a 5 star, it’s very limited and boring. All in all, if you are going here for good 3-4 days you will enjoy the serene vibe of the resort but after some time you might just get bored.

If anybody out there on this tiny little planet of rubble and Ash is thirsty to have some time in peace then I assure you that Shantam is such a place that will quench your thirst. The resort is beautifully built and the staff will take care of you just the right way. They are polite and humble, but all in the right ways and manner, hence they won't try to flatter you overly just to make an extra buck. Rooms are amazing, spacious and with all the amenities that one can ask for. The food is amazing, it's so amazing that, it is nearly not possible to find such great cuisines with having even greater value and quality of taste anywhere else in Rishikesh. But For me, The best part about this resort is actually the resort itself. it has given me the sense of tranquility and harmony that I was seeking from a very long time. It is built right in the middle of mountains in such a way that you are far away from all the hustle and bustle of the main city. I think here it is very appropriate to quote the cliche " right in the lap of nature" for Shantam .
Amazing Place. Definitely my permanent stop to stay in Rishikesh.

This place is worth every dime that you spend here. The architecture is very tastefully done. The rooms are luxurious and have all the required amenities. The resort has a pool and an awesome outside seating area with a breathtaking view. It is had an activity room with a pool table, miniature golf and all the other bells and whistles that would keep you engaged with your friends and family. Coming to the food, chef Shiv is a hidden gem, his culinary wizardry is worth the every extra calorie that you put on here. Manjeet, sagar Ankit and all the other service personnel are very professional and they optimize your experience while you are here. Try their coriander chutney, trust me your taste buds will thank you for doing that. Lastly, there is a spa which you must try after you come back from a day of heavy excursion. Long story short, this is the place for your stay when you come to Rishikesh.

I went for a small trip with my husband. The hotel is clean and rooms are highly maintained. It was a very nice experience of 2 days. The resort is good for chilling. They have a small activity room with few games like pool, table tennis, mini golf etc. The garden area is also nice to sit and spend some quality time. Breakfast was very much amazing. We ordered dinner (veg Biryani) also which was again a good experience.
On our request they decorated the room and provided a complimentary cake and muffin with soaked almonds. Staff was very proactive.

It's a compact boutique resort up on a hill 18 kms ie far away from the madding crowd of Rishikesh. I had chosen it for our 3 night stay as a family of 4 adults and 2 children so we were in 2 deluxe rooms that were spacious and well provided with all amenities and supplies. The food, although only vegetarian was of excellent quality and presentation and the F&B staff went out of their way to accommodate our every request and housekeeping was very good both vis a vis service and response as was the front office staff. The person who deserves all the credit for the resort's excellent hospitality and service is the General Manager Mr Ben Singh Chauhan who leverages his considerable experience with the best hotel chains in India to instill the right high quality service mindset in every member of the staff across the resort. He is always present at the resort to personally look into the requirements of all guests and motivates his staff to deliver a superior experience to guests.
