A great location with peaceful setting - nice design, outlook and some nice touches like a sauna and pretty views of the surroundings. It was all spoiled by having to clean the place on arrival - not a great situation at the peak of the pandemic. Hardly inspires confidence. Be warned that this place is not subscribing to the Air Bnb deep clean policy . Filthy floors, dusty surfaces everywhere, crumbs in the rug and sofa surface from previous guests, dead skink lizard under the sofa, stains and sticky marks from drinks all over the spa, side tables and bedside. Floor hadn’t been mopped in ages and the kitchen extraction above the hob had great and (gross!) flies sticking to it. Really not impressed at this price point; never stayed in such a filthy environment. The owner sent the cleaners back, but the floor wasn’t washed and by then I couldn’t be bothered to complain yet again. They’d also tampered/opened my partner’s suitcase bag, which also added insult to injury. It was just after Christmas, our first holiday in two years and a poor impression. Any reason why there’s no toliet door - tye toliet area is barely screened off from the spa and bathing area. A little odd. If I was the owner, I’d get better cleaners.

Lists of problems about Blue Cliffs in negative reviews all tell the same story. Most people like to start with something positive and listening to the Eastern Banjo Frogs was a delight and the only reason for a 2 star rating. Tired furnishing, poor quality bed, pillows, linen etc can sometimes be overlooked when a place is clean and inexpensive. However at $300+ a night what is provided is well below what you would find in comparable. properties. Every item in the kitchen needed cleaning. No dishwasher. A quick look at what was provided in the kitchen meant a trip back to Daylesford to buy items like wine glasses of a reasonable standard. Only one wine glass provided. My husband cleaned the spa. And yes the only shower was outside. As many reviews indicate on various platforms, there are lots of rules and negative reviews are all responded to in the same tone. The explanation for needing to provide your own firewood and take away your own rubbish is very unusual. Daylesford & Hepburn Springs are both exceptional weekend destinations in Victoria. There are many fabulous accomodation options where you will get what you pay for. We would not return to Blue Cliffs.

Beautiful and quiet location. You really have a chance to switch off from city life. The bed is very comfortable with good quality linen. The spa was a nice way to relax at night and sauna was a bonus. The pool looked amazing too but we didn't get a chance to use it. That's our incentive to come back another time!

We stayed in dreaming villa, it was so relaxing and the views were divine, it was very secluded. The place nice and clean and comfortable. Paul and he’s team did all they could to make our holiday a memorable one. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Just perfect, everything we could’ve possibly asked for. So beautiful, secluded and relaxing, had an absolutely perfect weekend here. Lots of kangaroos near by and the lake is also beautiful. Everything was clean, and there were so many facilities like spa, sauna, heater, fireplace, electric blankets, kitchenette, we will definitely be back.

My partner and I enjoyed our two night stay in the Gatsby Spa Suite. It was exactly what I was expecting after looking at the website and reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The accomodation is very cosy and the location is beautiful and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well both nights. I loved the bathroom with the massage shower, two person spa and sauna. Paul was very accomodating and made sure we had a great stay. The voucher for Larder (cafe) was very appreciated, we had a fantastic breakfast. The only negative was the accomodation could have been a bit cleaner. I noticed a few stains on the chairs and bed linen as well as some dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. Apart from that minor issue we had a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Spent a quiet long weekend in the dreaming spa cabin. Cabin was clean and modern with double spa, sauna and comfy bed. Open fire was great as the nights were very cold ( shame we only had enough kindling and firefighters for two fires) The facilities are on par with other luxury cabins we have stayed in around Victoria , however make sure you take everything you need eg pantry items and toiletries. Expensive without any extra treats! Would definitely go back.

In all honesty, I feel like my money was very much wasted. When we walked into the villa the first thing we notice is the state of the place. Cobwebs everywhere, crumbs on the floor, stains on walls and bedsheets, spa in desperate need of some scrubbing, furniture older than my grandparents, tv the size of my pinky, utensils all grumy, sticky and honestly off putting, plates had stain along with the pots and pans. Nothing was relaxing about this place. It was so bad that we left a day earlier because we were that unhappy. I would definitely not recommend this place. If you owned a place in a secluded area the least you can do is check if your cleaners are doing their job properly. What a nightmare!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Cliffs Resort in the Dusk Spa Villa, we had a 3 kangaroo welcoming party when we first arrived. The decor was great, loved the wood fire, spa bath and detox box (sauna). It was so incredibly peaceful and tranquil, pretty much the only sounds you hear are water running in the stream at the bottom of the property, the birds chirping and the breeze blowing. We were lucky to have the first 24 hours completely to ourselves as the only people there and enjoyed a long walk exploring the property. I loved relaxing on the daybed, reading my book in the sunshine and sitting by the toasty wood fire at night. It was a short 10-15 min drive into the main street of Daylesford with our complimentary voucher for brunch at The Larder Cafe, which we really enjoyed and also stopped there for coffee on our way back home. As I booked a self-contained property not a B&B, we had brought all our own provisions with us but the unexpected voucher was very much appreciated. My partner and I loved our time relaxing here and enjoying a couple of romantic days together. We will be recommending this to people we know and hope to be back to enjoy this again in future. Thank you. :-)
