Came here yesterday and had the same. -can’t get enough of this place. New owners are setting their stall out well and we will defo be returning once lockdown permits - their lunches and hospitality are a magnet. I don’t think this place gets anywhere near enough publicity and is a local treasure close to the sand dunes and a quiet beach with lovely nearby woodland walk. Ample parking to boot!

Stayed in the annexe with our dog earlier this week. Originally booked for 1 night, but circumstances dictated a 3 night stay. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and accomodating, with great attention to Covid19 requirements. Yes,the room could do with a facelift, but the bed was very comfortable and the power shower was very welcome. The food was superb, presented excellently, and I speak as an experienced commis chef. Definitely not our last visit. Very good value for money

My wife and I had lunch here on 17th October 2020 while we were staying at pontins. They had there Covid measures in place as we entered. The food was really well cooked and tasty, I had the creamy garlic chicken and my wife had the goat cheese and caramelised onion tart , both being plentiful and well presented, a bonus for me was otter ale on tap which is a great pint . The staff were also friendly, I can’t comment on there accommodation as we didn’t stay there but I would definitely recommend there food and would eat there again .

Stayed over the weekend and though it wasnt the most luxurious hotel we had a good time. It was dark when we arrived so we didnt see the sunset, but I'm told its beautiful there. The hotel is in a lovely quiet position and very pretty, with sand dunes and sea to the front and forest behind. Only a couple of miles from weston. The hotel is clean. The staff work really hard to offer a warm welcome, and look after you while staying. There has been some refurbishment, but our room was dated, but if you look past the sapele doors and old fashioned fixtures its fine. The bed was comfortable! We had dinner there both nights (was easier with covid making bookings trickier) and both nights our food was served quickly and was great. The menu is small but adequate, bar food. They also offer a specials menu to spice it up. All in all, we had a lovely weekend there.

Stayed in the annex as we took our dog , room was ok but definitely not worth £82, the walls are very thin as we could hear next doors tv and coughing also the water cistern, the bed was comfy. The food was excellent as were the staff would definitely stay again if they lowered their prices.

Spent a few nights here last month and had an excellent stay. Good size room and enormous bed. Staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Whilst the menu seems to just offer “standard pub food” the food presented is of a far higher standard, excellent ingredients and very well prepared. Very dog friendly. Best thing I can say is that having been there last month, we are back again this month for a few more days.

We booked for three nights, but left after two - refund was not an issue. AMAZING staff and hospitality, gorgeous food, although my other half was ill for the two days after eating there. The room was for four people although it could only fit two of us (we are very slim!), so not sure where two other's would sleep but still charged. we do not drive so everything at certain times of the day would have to be ordered on the hotel. Personally, the view and so close to the beach were the attraction. Had no fridge in the room so our food we bought with us for health issues went to waste. The porch door was left open so our puppy ran out unexpected onto the main blind road. Only a kettle and no electric heaters apart from one heater. The only perks were that we could take our puppy (no treats available), the very comfy bed, but being charged for a 4 berth when it was only two, the lampshades dirty, poor wi-fi, no one on reception at any time (so had to rind through the the lounge), closing the door, the poor latching we caught our fingers in. Called to ask for a sandwich as my partner was ill and missed food, no response as promised. Poor lighting fixtures, I feel for the staff as it is no fault on their part at all but the very poor accomodation let it down. Will not recommend or return due to price and rooms. Have just noticed how the price has now gone down drematically. Such as a shame as it was my partners Birthday.
