This hotel is a real Jewel. The owners are charming and welcoming, even though they had very few guests when we stayed, they made sure that all our needs were met. The room was very comfortable ...so much so that we overslept! Everything was clean and homely. The grounds are charming and beautifully kept. It was a bit chilly to try the swimming pool although it looked very inviting. The lounge/sitting area has the owner’s collection of bandes dessinées books, which would have entertained us for a long time if we had allowed them to! Altogether a delightful overnight stay and one to which I would very happily return and spend a little longer,

My wife and I spent 5 days here and hated leaving. What a lovely property and the owners, Catherine and Erich are delightful. We loved the location. Quiet setting on a large parcel of land invites you too plop down is a chair on the lawn and read a book.. There is a pool and spa (hot tub), rooms are equipped with flat screen TV's although we ended up streaming English content, air conditioning and a small frig.. Rooms are large and tastefully decorated. Bathroom has a towel warmer and stall shower in addition to a tub. The bed was very comfortable. Downstairs was a breakfast room where continental breakfast is served. Cheese, meats, fruit, fresh juices, hard boiled eggs, toast and a coffee machine for Cappuccino, Espresso, etc. Wifi is strong. Right next door is a restaurant (not part of the Chateau) and another right down the road, or you can drive into Carcasonne just 15 minutes away.

We stayed here on a trip through France to Spain and on our way back through France we stayed here again. The rooms are very basic, in a way, because of the design of this older building, but they have everything you need and actually are much larger than typical older French hotel rooms. Large bathroom with a shower and lovely windows with shutters bookended the interior of both rooms. The host(ess) was extremely accommodating and kept in touch with her mobile phone anytime we needed help. We are cyclists and we took a ride nearby on both visits and we were then allowed to keep our bikes inside, under the stairway. Not that safety could be an issue in the delightful perched and private area where the Château sits. Parking is ample and safe. We ate at the very good restaurant adjacent. All in all a lovely stop. Times two. Take a walk in the garden if the weather permits. The hotel also has a reading area and a charming breakfast room with easy access to coffee for early risers. And for those who are interested it is very close to Carcassone.

Dear roadcyclists, thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay (twice!). We hope that we have created a comfortable, relaxing hotel with a blend of old and new befitting of the Chateau (all rooms are individually designed) and are glad that you appreciated this, the coffee and the restaurant too! We hope that you will come again soon as there are certainly lots of interesting cycle rides to do in an around Carcassonne. Thank you again and happy cycling, Emma, on behalf of Cathy

We found this gorgeous place last year, stayed for three nights and absolutely fell in love with it. We returned this year to spend a whole week, and can highly recommend this lovely hotel, which offers everything you could wish for for a relaxing stay. Our first floor room, with a view over the charming garden was cool and comfortable and stylishly furnished (in fact every aspect of the hotel is well thought-out and stylish, with interesting pieces of art and great colour schemes). What really makes it, though, is the warm hospitality from the owners Catherine and Eric and also Emma, who we were delighted to see again. As for the fabulous buffet breakfast ... absolutely spoiled for choice with a wonderful selection, and lovely to be able to find a shady spot in the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds in which to enjoy it. The whole place is spotlessly clean and well maintained and we can't wait to return!

Stayed here for 3 nights to bookend a trip further south in June. As good as ever. Lovely ambience, rooms and gardens and of course Catherine who is always so helpful. Much nicer than staying the hustle and bustle of Carcassonne city.
