This is our 5th visit to Arborea. We are an extended family of 16, with four couples and 8 young children. This is truly a magical place. The smell of the rosemary bushes and of the tall pine trees, and the sound of crickets in the evening stays with you for weeks. The staff is wonderful, the food is scrumptious, the entertainers keep the children and the grown ups busy with sailing, canoeing, archery, dancing, and with daily evening first class music and comedy shows. The management of the enhanced cleaning measures and of the social distancing during this special 2020 summer has been exemplary and allowed us to enjoy our holiday while keeping and feeling safe. We will certainly visit again for many years to come. Long live Arborea!

I return to this Resort with my family for the fifth definitive season and I must say that it is now like my second home.
On the structure, entirely immersed in the greenery of a nature reserve, peace and tranquility reign with the possibility of ample enjoyment of participating in recreational, sporting and entertainment activities, taking advantage of the copious services offered by the adjacent Valentino and Calanè villages. For those who want, there is also the Spa of the adjacent Kalidria Hotel.
The rooms are large and more like mini apartments, spacious and bright, all with every service and comfort, such as huge and comfortable beds, kit with bathrobe and slippers, daily towel change, bathroom with shower and hydromassage tub, large patio with table and deckchairs and more than efficient cleaning.
The beach, located beyond a pine forest nature reserve, is well served by a fairly efficient and punctual, although potentially improvable, shuttle service. An internal transport service is also provided for those who need it.
Excellent quality restaurant despite being a buffet. There is also the possibility of having lunch at a restaurant overlooking the beach for a fee. The only advice I would give is to lower the cost a little in order to allow some more access.
The real strong point of the Alboréa Resort is its staff.
One above all is the deputy director Massimo, who, thanks to his experience despite his young age, is an omnipresent person in the structure, mixing among the guests and always putting them at ease. The attention he pays to their needs is obsessive, he solves any problems, he has a chat with everyone and he truly loves children. I hope to be able to find him in the next few years too, perhaps as a director.
Particular praise also goes to Anna and Antonella from the beach bar, to Giada, Alessio, Margherita and Nicola from the pool bar, excellently coordinated by the super-professional Filippo (a person of great experience and competence), to Giuseppe the manager of the Kalidria bar, to Gaetano, excellent vice maitre of the restaurant, to the new entry Erika, lifeguard of the swimming pool and to the head receptionist Orsola.
I will definitely be back again next season.

Alborea is a Unique Resort.
Staying in a Bungalow in nature and tranquility and having the opportunity to use the services of nearby Resorts is a significant plus
Positive:
Bungalows: very spacious and comfortable
Recommendation Bilo executives, closest to the restaurant and equipped with bicycles.
We didn't notice , but Alexa answers every question and this can be very useful at the beginning of your stay.
Excellent cleaning (Annamaria very kind and attentive)
Beach service;
Very quiet , towels are also directly provided on the beach, attentive staff (IN SUPER). The Mediterranean restaurant is for a fee but I absolutely Recommendation .ottima quality.
Special thanks to Antonella and her staff.
The beach is well maintained, guarded even at night by the beautiful Bakary, with whom it is really nice to have a word.
Entertainment and sport :
Excellent in all respects, absolutely addictive and quality shows, variety in the second evenings and various activities throughout the day (spectacular even for children)
Anna del serenino exceptional.
Many sports activities (no beach volleyball) with the possibility of private lessons with qualified instructors.
Daniele Wind surf really patient and competent.
We recommend his lessons and tennis lessons with Andrea, very nice and very disponibile.top.
Jack and his remarkable nautical staff.
Well organized and well managed gym, open 24 hours a day!!
The animation was fundamental to make the holiday unforgettable!
We absolutely recommend going to the neighboring Valentino to get to know this beautiful group.
Themed restaurants:
The taste: penalizing the location, very noisy cause of the kalanè canteen above
Good quality.
Pinseria:
Excellent both the quality of the pizza and the kindness of the staff (especially Carmelo!)
Shirò: good quality beach restaurant and good service. Very convenient to stay at the beach for lunch.
In this case very useful the booking app
After 6 p.m., for those who have run out of tickets to themed restaurants, you can book them anyway, if there are seats available.
Central tree restaurant :
Good quality and variety
We recommend the outdoor patio
However no attention, despite various complaints, in preserving the assigned table .tables added at random.
Great deputy director Giuseppe for kindness and attention! highly recommended tree! we will be back!

5 star Inn that is not one/tourist catcher. Camping 2 or 3 stars would be more suitable.

Pros of our holiday:
- Very interesting lodge concept.
-Caring worker and cleaning staff.
Spaces large enough.
- Clean salt pool with bubbles.
Impeccable beach: transparent water, without jellyfish. Effective and professional lifeguards.
- Restaurant Mediteraneo (not far from the beach) good but paying even with the all-inclusive.

Cons:
- Mattress as hard as concrete and bed bases bad for the back (mesh). Without exaggeration, our backs are curved. Mattress over 10 years old.
Shower to fix.
-Bubble bath that smells like barbecue. Avoid!
- Lodge to refresh and patch (paint, coat rack, lamps, non-functional fire alarm etc.).
- Industrial food and undercooked (especially pasta and vegetables). Drinks of the infamous and paid cappuccino type.
Inedible ice cream. Are we in Italy?
- Lack of communication and organization between the different services (reception, catering, management...). Various errors on the part of the staff for the room, our table at the restaurant, for example...
- No all-inclusive restaurant near the beach -> obligation to take the train so huge waste of time to eat at 12:30 at the Pension and return.
- Lack of information and consistency on the "extras" of the all-inclusive: nothing written, contradictions within the staff.
Feeling like a tourist catcher who has to fend for himself and pay.
- Mocking, disrespect, ignorance, incompetence on the part of the staff and management who never says hello...: no explanation on where the room is, offer of Aquatonic lessons to compensate for bad bedding, put duvets on the mattress, for example...
No questioning. Great corporate spirit where we are a number.
And so on...

In summary: shared feeling of lack of confidence, professionalism, safety and comfort in a Pension that calls itself 5 stars and eco-friendly with the Awards accordingly. It's a scam.

We will not return again and advise you, out of solidarity and desire to do well, to avoid this establishment if you hope to spend a pleasant serene holiday in a 5 star hotel for several days. TUI reimbursed us 200 euros. Other customers have the same feeling and it reassured us because we are not crazy.
We are happy to go home.

Structure that is absolutely not a five star (perhaps three would be more than enough). I'll start with the positive points: kindness and professionalism of the restaurant/kitchen staff, led by a maitre d' who is always available and friendly. Good quality food and variety. The swimming pool is quite well maintained. The lifeguard Erika is very good.
Instead, moving on to the negative aspects, I would say that first of all, selling a room with two bathrooms (as described on the official website) is really clever, to say the least. In fact, the second bathroom is nothing more than a sink with a hydromassage tub (also in bad shape). Therefore, there is neither a second toilet nor a shower which would certainly be more useful to those who have a family with children. Then, the furniture is really obsolete and dated (all the rooms should be redone). The air conditioning is very noisy and does not make it usable during rest hours (there is no remote control). The cleaning was superficial and certainly not as required by a 5-star standard (the sheets were never changed in a week). Finally, for a 5-star hotel it is unthinkable to drink cappuccino from the machine. The one at the bar costs 2 euros. Furthermore, for the sea we were unlucky to catch an entire week of jellyfish which made the entire stay unsuitable for swimming. Therefore, dear Bluserena, the price you ask and make your customers pay is currently unjustified. I don't think there will be a next time. Ad maiora

I spent three days at Alborea (in 11 out 14), nothing to say about the beauty of the nature reserve within which the lodges are set. Punctual cleaning
Unfortunately, however, the structure shows obvious signs of aging and limited maintenance to the minimum necessary.
The furnishings are those of 18 years ago, when the entire complex, just opened, was managed by a famous US hotel chain.
The sink in the room was damaged with spinning, even the lobby rooms would need a refresh, I was struck by the peeling reception counters so as to look dirty
Beach without shower, you could rinse with a garden pump equipped with a shower head.
The wooden pavement of the dangerously bad boulevards.
Disappointing breakfast: contrary to what was reported on the website for three days no pan cake and waffel were served, only mini pre-cooked crepes that the chef took from a box and then heated on a non-stick pan.
The daily menu did not reflect the indications on the site, inedible desserts, and insufficient, I was struck by the soggy toadtails, a circumstance that I reported to the room manager.
You'd find the evening cakes not fragrant the next morning.
Unwatchable finger food saucers, whose foods were often oxidized.
There was no indication of the contents of the trays covered in warmth and, therefore, one was forced to open them to understand what was there.
The water served at the table was hot, on request the waiters brought you a saucer with ice cubes.
Insufficient air conditioning in the dining room.

I wouldn't even give it 3 stars... old and dilapidated room. Bathroom completely to be redone... I think maintenance hasn't been done for at least 10 years; air conditioner old and noisy and without remote control. We are practically left to ourselves with no type of animation or entertainment. Same thing with the restaurant, terrible food and no kind of attention for children, it's true that there is a baby bottle but for older children no service other than tomato pasta, never a cutlet, a slice of meat, only food for adults. Among other things, completely absent waiters. We didn't get the extra full board, they don't give you a bottle of water but only glasses and so I wonder what I paid to do 250 euros more because at night if I'm thirsty certainly no one will give me a glass of water at midnight the bar closes... no kind of attention for children to go to a carousel you have to go to a nearby village which I strongly advise against. The only positive note are the cleaning ladies who are always ready and attentive and I can say maternally available... with everything I spent on this holiday I expected services of a certain level and instead the campsite is more well looked after. Never again and I don't recommend it at all

We returned to Alborea after 4 years.
The structure is always very nice, quiet, uncrowded swimming pool but still frequented by civilized families without screams and shouts. Top restaurant, excellent quality food. Oysters, red prawns, raw lobster in short another level compared to the 4-star Bluserena.
The only lack is that inside there is no shuttle to move between the various places and those who have children at Valentino with the Bluserena Club becomes complicated.
The only flaw really is that on arrival in the room we found 2 bottles of fresh water, at the reception we were told that everything that was outside the minibar would be free, instead at the
Check out we were charged 8 € is not for the derisory amount but for the communication defect that in a 5 star hotel you do not expect.

Spacious and fairly well furnished rooms.
It feels good in the pine forest and is ideal for a relaxing holiday.
There is no entertainment even during the week of August and only little background music.
You have to move to Valentino or Calané for entertainment but they are very crowded and noisy villages.
No activities or sports activities rental on the beach. To shower or bar (even just for a glass of water) you have to move 100 metres.
It is unpleasant that despite the extra formula (all inclusive) you have to present the smart card every time to monitor consumption.
Water only in glasses and bottles are subject to charges.
Varied and usually good quality food except for a few unfortunate exceptions.
Stunning sea and clear even with wind.
Jellyfish often present but much less on shore

I also recommend the holiday to families with very young children. The bottle service is excellent, with fresh preparations every day and all kinds of necessities such as water, fruit, yogurt, creams and pastries.
The cuisine for adults works well and is varied, it could improve on desserts.
The complex of 4 structures is pleasant to explore both on foot and with the shuttle always available on call.
The Kalidria spa is also beautiful, the staff is friendly and competent, the same goes for the a la carte cuisine and bar service.
The train to the beach is a pleasant walk in the protected reserve. The beach, then, is really very beautiful and isolated but with bar service. Handling towels is convenient both on the beach and on the lido, they can be taken and returned every time so you always have clean and dry ones.
Clean sea with golden sand.
There is a lot of care given to the spaces, including the green ones, there is always someone cleaning and fixing something. All the train drivers were kind to guests, both with and without strollers. I was always helped even without asking for it, as were the other parents.
The salt water pool could be a little more cared for with regards to the manholes, corroded by the salt but not in a bad state of maintenance. For everything else it is very beautiful.
Overall the staff are friendly and helpful.
The Lodges need some updating in terms of architectural taste but are in excellent condition, for example the furnishings are made of wood and the bathrooms are clean and well kept with good quality tiles. It is no coincidence that it retains 5 stars.
I absolutely appreciated the tranquility of the place and being able to forget about the car to enjoy a holiday with all the services, which must be many for those with small children in tow.
Entertainment is varied and accessible to all in Valentino and Calanè.
The amount of guests is important, nevertheless we did not suffer from waiting or poor service.
We noticed the presence of several now loyal guests, a further reason of merit.
