We booked the Conrad on an impulse as Croatia had been removed from the travel corridor. As expected the package prices were higher than normal due to many people swapping to Portugal as the travel corridor opened.For ease we booked half board which is not our norm when in Portugal. We travelled with some concerns about COVID regs, higher prices and in general , peoples behaviours. All I can say, is that from the moment we set foot in the Conrad the care and attention given to us has been exceptional, the staff are brilliant bar none. The hotel is immaculate, clean, safe and very well designed. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and our balcony looking onto the pool was excellent. Breakfast is excellent with unlimited options which are all freshly cooked. Although there is only one restaurant, Louro, there are plenty food options and all the food is very good, the setting by the pool is simply stunning and very relaxed. As half board customers you get 90euro per couple to dine with. All drinks are extra and are in line with 5 star prices. The chef will also cook special orders if you ask. We visited Gusto which is based in the hotel. This meal was exceptional. Although this was not part of the half board arrangement, a credit was passed over which was a pleasant surprise. It was a truly magical evening made even better by the brilliant staff. Around the adult pool it is quiet and calm, the sun beds are very comfy and complimentary water is served in iced buckets. The pool staff are very helpful and attentive, nothing is too much trouble, you just have to ask. All in all our stay at the Conrad has been excellent. A few minor niggles are mainly house keeping related. *More bath gel in the room required *Replace wine glasses after use *turn down service call at7 pm every night just as we are getting showered *no corkscrew *room technology needs updating, eg iPod dock. *you don’t get Hilton honour points if you have booked a package holiday. Most of these very minor issues were resolved on request. Best bits: *Management are always visible and leading the teams on the floor, which is excellent *staff team are amongst the most professional,polite and attentive I have ever encountered. *a beautiful hotel in a great setting * Gusto is incredible *comfy sun beds and chilled pool.

What a wonderful hotel! We have stayed here before for three nights and loved the hotel. Hence, when Portugal came out of the red zone, we booked immediately for a Covid secure week. We were welcomed into the hotel by friendly reception staff all wearing face masks. Guests were also required to wear masks in public areas indoors and everyone complied. Our room was a grand de luxe pool view suite (we had been upgraded!). It was simply magnificent. It was divided into entrance hall, separate cloakroom, dressing area, sitting room with outside balcony and bedroom with lovely bathroom. The bedroom was serviced twice a day with bottled still water replenished daily. The breakfast terrace was beautiful with staff cleaning each table and setting cutlery down separately and serving fresh fruit juice and hot drinks. Guests were able to select a range of dishes which staff placed on a tray and hot dishes could be separately ordered. The hotel’s pools were wonderful. The infinity pool was surrounded by very comfortable sun beds and parasols. Towels were large and plentiful. Pool staff, like all staff in the hotel were exemplary, they could not be more helpful, friendly and obliging. The pool bar served a good range of drinks and food. We ate in one of the two restaurants and had a wonderful meal in delightful surroundings with a duo singing and playing guitar.

This is my 2nd visit to The Conrad and it was a very good stay again. The rooms are beautiful and the staff overall, are excellent- so helpful and friendly.
Only small gripe I have is regards the outside breakfast area and adult pool area floor surfaces which were quite grubby every day. I suspect due to the type of tiling ‘porous’ as I could see it being cleaned in places with little improvement. The larger pool area looked spotless ( different tiling).
The hotel is offering free cancellation and zero delivery charge for room service at breakfast which I think is an excellent initiative during these uncertain times. The latter to alleviate crowding at breakfast ( it was v busy a couple of mornings)
All safety measures are implemented with masks and sanitation stations throughout.
If you visit make sure to try their Prawn Piri Piri dish as it was so delicious.

The location of this hotel is about 3.5 miles from the glorious beaches. They do run a courtesy bus and they have their own private SU beds with nice big cushions and towels, water etc. The hotel is superb with 2 fantastic pool areas and a Spa. It’s family friendly, the lower pool caters more for small children. The rooms are large and well fitted the bathrooms are large with an excellent shower. There is a mini kitchen with fridge and microwave but I can’t understand who would want to use it. Ours remained locked up all week. There tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the total supplies bottled water each night. The staff are all excellent really friendly and helpful. They have had to suffer wearing masks all day but have coped admirably. Considering the hassle of having to wear masks in all the public areas the holiday has still been great. Once your in a bar or around the pool or sat at your table you can take off your mask. It’s the best you can hope for at this time. But anyway the hotel have gone out of their way to make it as easy as possible. I would recommend this hotel for a luxury break. Once things are back to normal it will be even better. We’ve stayed here 4 times now and will definitely stay again.

This hotel is large but set in suitably sized grounds so nothing feels cramped. The facilities are amazingly well maintained and clean. There are large pool changing facilities and a breakfast area where we did not need to wait to be seated. The staff are among the best I have experienced and I have stayed in many different top end hotels across the globe. Although I was with older children, they were very friendly with the younger children. Overall could not fault it.

The food is truly outstanding, everything from breakfast, to pool snacks and through to dinner. You are in for a treat if you are eating at the Conrad Algarve! We also dined at several small (more local) restaurants across the road from the hotel, there are plenty of options to vary your eating locations.
We had a couple of small issues with email communication before we arrived at the Conrad but these fall into the shadows when you do arrive and see the quality of everything at the hotel. This is a high end premium hotel and the prices mirror the high standards - you get what you pay for and sometimes it’s so worth it!
Our minor issues were quickly resolved by Rui the Duty Manager who personally went above and beyond in making our stay a very special one. The other hotel team members are on the whole very professional and personable making our stay amazing.
The rooms are fitted to a high level of quality fittings and the twice daily cleaning/turndown service were very good.
The spa is first class, wonderful sauna and steam rooms and the treatments that we received were very good.
We highly recommend Conrad Algarve!

We've stayed at The Conrad multiple times and I've listed the reasons we've continued to come back:
Beautiful modern and spacious rooms Delicious breakfast High end spa Beautiful pool area with lots of space Top class michelin star restaurant
However on our most recent visit at the end of May, things have certainly slipped. People can argue that this is due to covid and losing staff but in that case if the hotel can't deliver the promised 5* luxury they need to reduce their room rates.
What we weren't impressed with: After multiple stays, every time we check in, we're still asked if this is our first visit to the hotel. This really doesn't give you the warm fuzzy feeling other hotels manage when welcoming a return guest back!
Service at breakfast was really hit and miss, orders were not put through or sometimes we were just forgotten and orders weren't taken.
As a wedding gift a family member had called and added €200 to our room to spend on dinner or spa treatments. The hotel never made us aware of this.
On a couple of days our room hadn't been cleaned as late as 4pm.
Service at the bar just inside the hotel entrance was slow. Once they got our order wrong and instead of prioritising us and fixing it. We sat and waited while they sorted other guests drinks and continued to tell us "it wouldn't be long".
We wanted to go to the beach one day and they charged us for the use of hotel sunbeds on the beach. This is Portugal, not the South of France, we didn't feel like this was great value.
Overall we came away just not feeling great about our stay. A local we spoke to recommended Vila Vita and Vila Joya as alternative high end hotels in the area. I think on our next visit we'll have to give the Conrad a miss and try somewhere new.

The third time at this wonderful hotel and each time it gets better. Our holiday got off to a bad start as we arrived a day late, but once at the Conrad our mood improved enormously and from then on, we relaxed and our holiday really started.
Our room was beautifully appointed, large in size with a view of the hotel pool .The bathroom area was extensive, with two hand-basins, large bath and separate shower.Amazingly, there is also a TV to watch in the bath. Towels are large, fluffy and plentiful - changed twice a day if used. The balcony is the largest and most beautifully furnished we have ever seen. The staff, however, are the treasure of this hotel. They have high standards, are clearly very well trained but always have the interests of the guests at heart. They are also superb personalities in their own right. Very often they go over and above anything asked of them, as they did in our case. ,
Breakfast was delicious and Covid safe. Generally, food was sumptuous and eaten on the outside terraces which in the evening were beautifully lit with fire pits. I heartily recommend this hotel in this beautiful area of Portugal.

Returned for our 4th time to the Conrad and have booked again for 2021. This hotel is the best we have stayed in and we have visited many 5 star hotels across the world. The cleanliness is immaculate and now with the COVID issues the hotel has exceeded with ensuring everyone is safe, hand sanitizers everywhere with all staff wearing masks, we felt safer at the Conrad then at home.
As always the staff are excellent especially Vicente and Eli at the Dado pool, they are a perfect example of how customers should be treated. The food in all the restaurants is first class, we ate at the hotel 5 of the 7 nights we stayed.
We will continue to return to the Conrad as long as possible, I can’t think of anywhere else we would rather stay, 1st class in every way. 100% recommend a stay at the hotel

We would like to clarify that the Sereno pool is not restricted to children; however, we recommend using the Dado pool for families with children.
The Sereno pool is generally more reserved for adults, while the Dado pool is specifically designed to cater to children, offering a more kid-friendly environment, including the use of inflatables.
In terms of temperature, while the Sereno pool is not heated, it typically maintains temperatures higher than that of the sea. Additionally, we have a smaller pool dedicated to children, where the water stays warmer due to its smaller size.
