Terrible. We actually wondered if this has been used for cooking P. Had a very distinctive, sour chemical smell and we had bad headaches. Place felt like it needed a very good clean, and was very shabby and tired. Good sized rooms and well located. The pool wasn't really useable - apparently they tried to limit numbers so you had to ask permission to use it - but it looked filthy so we avoided it. Not a great place to stay as a family and wouldn't recommend it to women travelling alone. Wondered if it was being used for emergency housing. Expensive and wouldn't stay here again.

Title sums it up, it’s affordable, clean and comfortable with everything you need, full kitchen, ensuite bathroom and most studios with queen bed and single, couch, desk, coffee table. Love being this close to the city, 3 minute walk to Merivale Mall and Supermarket, ten minute walk to Casino + Bars. Friendly host, yet to try the spa and pool hopefully warmer weather for New Years!

First time we've EVER booked in, unpacked car then left!! Unit 16, two bedroom unit, cheap at $120 night but no thanks!! It was freezing cold with every window open even though it was raining, toilet bowl was so stained, shower was filthy, TV unit super dusty, the leather couch was filled with dust in the creases etc! Should have trusted my gut when booking as that was super painful. I know English isn't the ladies first language but when I was asking the price she kept giving me my phone number!! Plus kept getting night we were staying wrong etc. Super weird.

Absolutely filthy, toilet bowl stained, mould on windows, dirty kitchen floor, would not stay there again, their website is not true to the condition of rooms, ants on kitchen table, hooker operating out of room next door.

Super friendly staff, very comfortable bed and nice big room. I was in Christchurch for surgery and a bit hazy when I checked out - left my toilet bag behind and they couriered it to me free of charge.

This would have to be one of the worst motel I have visited in Christchurch. Owners very rude to the point that when our friends came over we where told they where not allowed in the pool. And it was 30+ outside. They seemed to me like they enjoyed telling us off. Would not recommend staying here at all

Clean but quite shabby, very friendly staff, uncomfortable pillows and bed, outside area looks untidy. Good parking and handy to shops, takeaways, restaurants etc. Not much milk supplied and very cheap coffee, tea etc

The studio was clean and tidy. Although older it looks as though updating is happening. The bed was very comfortable after a long drive and my dog was allowed to stay and having a back door as well made toileting much easier for him. Very friendly and helpful staff and for a person with disabilities the low level access to front and back made life a lot easier. I will be staying again.

Stayed here last night, Lady in office was nice, and that is where the niceness stopped. Bed was like a riverbed in the mountains, Windows that don’t secure properly, food on the floor, plugs falling out of the wall burn marks on the carpet, dirt and dust everywhere. The two bedroom units need a full refit.

After a long day's travelling, my Mum and I were looking forward to settling in to rest, but both found this motel too dirty and worn to feel we could even unpack. The external doormat had clearly not been lifted or swept around for weeks, the windows were probably at least 6 months from having been cleaned last, every surface including lino, carpet, tabletops, sofas and bedspreads was grimy and marked. The outdoor courtyard, which was marketed as private, but was shared with other units and unsuitable for our small dog, still had the leaves, dirt and debris which remains after autumn and winter and the outdoor furniture was too dirty to use. When I realised that the painted door to the master bedroom had either blood or coffee dripped down its surface I decided enough was enough and went to the office to state unequivocally that the motel was unfit for human habitation without a great deal of deep cleaning and that we were moving out immediately and wanted a refund of our 3 night stay for which they had wanted to charge $782. The host wanted to tell Booking.com through whom we'd booked our stay that we were "no shows" but I said that would make us out to be unreliable guests which we are not, and a cancellation due to the low standards of cleaning oversight was a more accurate reason. As we were about to drive away, the husband of the host appeared with a spray bottle and cloth in his hands, my Mum advised he was going to need more than that to put right the sheer grime involved! A full refund was obtained and confirmation of no cancellation fee was phoned through by the host 5 minutes after we had left their establishment - never to return!
