This family owned and run hotel is certainly a cut above the rest! We've stayed there two years running in Cottage 2 which is completely self contained but still enjoyed the hotel's array of facilities on offer. The Pavilions has a rich history from its ownership and the staff are always very accommodating! Our cottage was cleaned every day and all amenities replenished as required to a very high standard. Well done Pavilions!!!

Hotel's Favourite
I live on the West Coast and usually stay at Pavilions when going over the hill to Christchurch. It is consistently good, lots of rooms, ample parking, quiet and has a great restaurant. Can't fault it really.

Pavilions is a great hotel in the area Only found by chance as drive by. As all motel were full we nearly drove pasted but got the last bed in Christchurch. Well appointed and comfortable with adequate food preparation space. We will be back on our annual South Island trip.

Our stay at Pavilions Hotel was very good with only one personal complaint and that was the bed was too soft for me, the other minor one was that blackout curtains are needed on the side panel windows at the front of the unit, to block out the outside light. The breakfast menu was fantastic with a good array of food to suit everyone, the restaurant was also good with a nice selection of meals. The reception desk staff were helpful and pleasant as was the dining room staff and unit cleaners. All in all a great and pleasant stay.

Stayed @ cottage 2 for 2 nights Nice to have own backyard & a parking lot The place has a washer but no dryer Wifi is weak The safe in the room was not working; a receptionist came with 10-15 different keys to try but couldn’t fix it and promised to return the next day but it never got fixed (could not use the safe while we stayed) The gym needs a huge improvement- the running machine stopped working after turning on for 5 minutes; the elliptical doesn’t even start. Most of the equipments in the gym are old and not functioning. Dined @ Jimmy’s - good food Staffs nice About 25-30 minutes walk to CBD

We booked this hotel as a part of our Sydney to Christchurch flight package. Location was on point as we wanted somewhere close to Christchurch Airport. Staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean. We had a comfortable 3 nights. Wi-Fi drops in and out, but overall it was a pleasant stay with on-site parking.

Love staying here in Christchurch. Always clean with nice staff. Short walk to the centre of town. Pool if it’s sunny. Unusual, quirky bar with outside area and historic information, and own restaurant for late arrivals. Wonderful room - cottage number 2.
