This property is disgusting and had filthy beds that I wouldn't allow my dog to sleep on. We were so tired the first night we didn't check everything before climbing into bed exhausted. Checked the bed the next night (before getting into it thank goodness) and were so horrified that I was almost sick. The mattress cover on both beds was shredded, filthy stains on both mattress protectors, pillow cases and pillows. Drawers were filthy, the tea towel was burnt and dirty, bath towels were so old, all they were good for was washing cars, the stove (in kitchenette) was filthy, and both hot plates were rusty. We called the manager (who lived off site) telling him to come and check out our room. He arrived 20 mins later (in his BMW) and on seeing the bed made no apology. We said we couldn't sleep in THAT filth. He offered to move us to another room, we said yes as long as we could check it out 1st. We asked about the room with the black 4 poster bed as advertised on their website...."No no, it gone, no good". We entered the room, said it looked ok but wanted to check mattress out before we agreed to stay. "No, no, no check" "Why". "Probably same as other bed". We said we were leaving and wanted a full refund but he only agreed to refund the 2nd and 3rd nights but NOT the 1st night added already used the room. I was so sick (unwell) by this time I just had to get out of there. We managedcti find another hotel in CBD, caught an Uber and our new hotel room at The Vibe was just beautiful.

First of all, the location is very agreeable. George St is quiet, tree-lined, and a short, pleasant walk to the nearby Fitzroy Gardens, and not far from a 7-11 supermarket and most of Melbourne's attractions. This is why I chose Knightsbridge Apartments. As for my room, it wasn't quite as desirable as I had expected from Booking.com but it certainly wasn't bad either. My view was just a brick wall, and yes, some of the paint on the walls, the bathroom window, a few other minor things were a bit shabby, but that didn't really affect my 8-night stay there. The hotel was generally pretty quiet at night (apart from the birds outside), the aircon seemed a bit dry and not really changeable, but the wifi worked adequately for my needs, the telly worked fine (albeit not many channels), the bed, chairs, tables were all comfortable enough. The vending machine in the foyer was useful (and surprisingly quite cheap), and the staff were all polite enough. I had just arrived from the other side of the world, with very little sleep and was glad of only 1 short flight of stairs to my room. It's not a glitzy hotel by any means, it's not even spotlessly clean and decorated, but it's quiet, with adequate facilities and in a great location which meant more to me. I'd give it 3.75/5

They are serviceable but very tired. Location is A1 with good access to the city, MCG, and public trap generally. Forget bringing a car as there are only about 5 spaces to be shared amongst 30 odd apartments

Booked it based on reviews elsewhere and its locality close to medical services we were attending. The booking site certainly offered a better view than what is in reality. There is no lift as already mentioned so be ready to lift your baggage upstairs. It is well located for trams, MCG and medical specialists. Parking is very limited, first come best dressed, they do make you aware of that. The room was dated, the carpets need replacement and the place needs some paint and love to bring it back up to the three star standard claimed. Overall well positioned, we travel with our own pillows which helps make most beds comfortable but the rooms and hallways need some care.

This place was close to The MCG and ideal for us. We wanted free parking for 10 days and this was provided by a refunded permit. Gary at reception was friendly and helpful. On-site coin operated laundry was clean and worked well. Our room was basic and quiet with a very comfortable king bed. Rooms were scrupulously clean although the bathroom needed an exhaust fan and better water pressure in the shower but room cleaning service was available daily. Decor could have been a little better but for the price we’re happy to stay there again.

One of the worse hotels I have every stayed in. Needs a major overhaul. Bed was sunken in, heaters barely working, spider webs everywhere, toilet was in atrocious condition. I booked for two nights to watch soccer at the stadium but it was so bad that I left a day earlier.

This hotel Knightsbridge Apartments Melbourne I don't even know where to begin I would rate this -1000 The customer service was absolutely atrocious the bloke was very Rude and aggressive. The bloke said I had already sign in, in morning even though my flight was in afternoon. Realise after checking paper they stuff up and give me room away so just gave my default room. The Bloke wanted to take photo of my licence and credit card as he wanted me to pay $100 despot even though I had already paid for it and if I didn't he asked me to leave he put me in tears. I'm Lucky that a bloke come down stairs and he sore how he was talking and treating me, He even said don't speak to her like that as I was in tears. Took 20mins to finally get room which was around 4pm. When I entered the room it was disgusting the smell and by the looks it didn't even get clean I've take photos the floor had stains on it everywhere the bed look like it was broken and definably felt like it.(was ment to bed king but was just 2single put together) bed. the bathroom there was used shampoo in sink the toilet I had to clean and the window was horrific there was spiders' webs everywhere. Heating didn't work

The rooms are cheap for the area, they are clean but old and dated. Parking is a pain. Beware if needing parking as it is not guaranteed and it is a bit awkward. The place is close to good eateries which is a bonus. Some more basics in the room would be handy, like a tea towel. We were there for 3 nights and there was no room service or rubbish removal.

Firstly for the cheap prices offered and the location near public transport it is good. Restaurants and cafes close. And very friendly and helpful staff However the negatives are the rooms are very very very dated, the softest beds and the kitchen cutlery was either stained or dirty There was a big gap around the door which also didnt help keep the noise down from other guests

Asked for an extra bed, there wasn't one. Husband slept on the floor so that my daughter and I could share the bed. Sat down on the bed and instantly had to kill a spider that crawled out from under the pillow. Bed was HARD and there were no spare pillows or blankets. Room smelt like old Indian food. Rubbish left from previous person/s under the bed. Bathroom was dirty, mold growing, broken tiles in shower that the pieces were in the bottom of the bath. Didn't even bother trying to use it. There was a sign saying if we wanted hot water, we had to turn the hot water system on ourselves and adjust it. Daughter was having surgery, husband went back to talk to them, the lady at the counter couldn't understand him and we handed back the key and found somewhere else for the second night. They did however put the key for the room in the safe outside as we were arriving late. But did not see one staff member while we were there...
