We stayed at Imagine Marco recently and loved it! The staff on reception were always friendly, and Nathan in particular was so helpful and attentive. We were so overwhelmed when we received a complimentary upgrade, we wondered if a mistake had been made. The pool was lovely. At first we were concerned re the freeways close by but it is barely a hum you can hear and the location is so handy for Southbank along the river. Thank you Imagine Marco, we had a wonderful stay.

Arrived as an international arrival in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. Immediately, the team had the answers to every question I had, offered support in getting anything I needed as I couldn’t leave the room and went above and beyond to accommodate my partner (arriving a few days later also as an international) by extending our stay in the same room. The manager Tony, Katie on reception and Michelle (who I probably called 50 times for help) were so accommodating every time I spoke to them. The apartments themselves are immaculate, spacious and extremely well-designed. Couldn’t have asked for a better welcome back to Australia despite it being amidst this horrible time. The team and the accommodation at this property are a great example of why the hospitality industry will bounce back from this crisis.

I chose this hotel based on the huge room size of 52m2, but I don't think my room was anywhere near this size. The bedroom was tiny, so small that I couldn't move around the bed without brushing past the TV, and the kitchen was tucked into a pointy corner. I changed to another hotel with a room size of only 32m2 and it felt bigger than this. (It was also cheaper!)
The room was adequate and clean, but heavily scuffed and clearly used many times.
The pool is nice, but you have to go downstairs for an access token to make sure there are not more than 6 people there, which is pretty inconvenient. During my stay there was a storm, and the resulting dose of chemicals meant that the pool was unusable for most of my spare time.
Staff seemed to be doing their best, but when I asked for fresh towels they never arrived. After several unwelcome phone calls, I discovered that my room had the phone number of another room, so maybe that's where my towels ended up.
The location is one of the hotel's big positives. Very close to Woolworths and BWS, a short walk to Crown, and South Melbourne Market is not too far.

My husband, myself and our 3 children stayed at your imagine marco resort Sunday 10th of January. Originally we were booked in for both the 10th and 11th of January but due to the incompetence and lack of communication between your staff we cut our holiday short.
Yesterday after driving 2 and a half hours to come stay my husband decided to freshen up and have a shower. This is when our whole experience turned horrible. The shower in room 3506e flooded the bathroom.
My husband rang downstairs and they came to check and told us it was definitely not right but unfortunately could not be fixed until morning and the best they could do was clean it up with towels and noone else could have a shower until the problem was fixed. Again my husband went down and spoke to Nathan and we were informed that the earliest they could get someone to look at it was 9am when maintenance came in, my husband ask if it was possible to be moved and they said there were no rooms available for the night but he would send someone up right on 9am the next morning. It gets to almost 9:15 this morning and noone has come up nor has anyone rung to say what was happening. My husband then rang reception as we wanted to go out for the day and couldn't until we showered it was then we were informed that maintenance wouldn't be there until possibly 10am.
They then offered us a different room because house keeping had been in early to clean it yet noone rang us earlier to offer this option despite knowing we were waiting around for maintenance to fix the shower before we could go out.
After a discussion we opted to take the other room when it was evident that it was our only option or sit around and wait until someone finally got there to fix the shower yet no discount was offered for the room on the 26th floor even though Nathan had informed us the night before that anything under 27th floor was not classed as sky room and was cheaper and once getting to the room it was evident that it was a big down grade from the previous room we had been in for the night.
When I mentioned this we were then offered to be moved again once another room became available but yet again we would have to move all our stuff and wait God knows how long for another room which would mean we would of still be stuck waiting all day in a hotel room.
If I wanted to sit around in my pjs all day or sit around bored waiting I'd have stayed at home and if I wanted to go without a shower I would of gone camping. So basically we paid $209 for an over priced camp-site in the sky.

This is a fantastic find from my husband! We were not sure what to expect from a serviced apartment, having always stayed in hotels for our nearly 2 decades of travel experiences together. The team are amazing and we had one of the best service experiences ever with Jemima from the front desk in particular on our first night and then consistently for another 5 days that we stayed here.

This is one place where it actually does appear that the Leadership team cares about their people and their guests, where guests are not just numbers and where not only did we have an outstanding experience with Jemima, we noticed that all of the front desk team were helpful, friendly, accommodating (where possible), genuinely caring and interested in helping their guests to enjoy their stay and knowledgeable about everything from how to get to places, to where to eat, to grocery items, to comfort and convenience for a new family traveling together. We also had the pleasure of experiencing this from the hotel manager himself who came to help us settle into a new apartment after the original one we booked was not quite what we thought. As mentioned, we had no idea about this and thought we were doing the right thing for our family at the time. It was very comforting to know that even though we were learning, there were people who were kind enough to help us and not just from behind the desk but actually in our apartment. They did not send someone else but came themselves to see how they could help. This is above and beyond what we have experienced in many 5 star hotels around the world. I could write a book!

The location of Imagine Marco was extremely convenient and walking distance to all amenities (Woolworths across the road and very easy distance to a little park plus many restaurants both upmarket and family friendly). Also particularly great if you want to visit the many sporting arenas on this side of the city or restaurants and venues at Crown Casino.

The apartment itself is very clean and has regular daily servicing and it is a quiet place to stay in with an on-site carpark (pre booking is important as they have limited spaces available). We learned that a family with a 2 year old traveling with a full size pram and portable cot, needs a 2 bedroom standard apartment at this hotel. The junior 2 bedroom which we booked was good enough for us but our portable cot was too big for the second bedroom. The Jemima very kindly helped us to work out how to make the room work for us and then relocated us after 2 nights of our 6 night stay to the next size apartment which was huge! Also, for the time of year, it had amazing views of the Melbourne fireworks from the balcony.

This is definitely the place to book if you’re looking for a place to stay in Melbourne. Perfect team, perfect location, perfect apartment equals a perfect stay. This is the first time I’ve written that in all my years of travel. Congratulations to the business and the teams. We would come here again in a heartbeat!

A disappointing experience. We stayed at Imagine Marco for 3 weeks. We got the 2 bedroom apartment and the whole unit was very dark. There are no locks on all of the doors, including the toilet door which was inconvenient for us as we are staying with a friend. One of the bedroom doors couldn't even stay shut as it was broken. we had to sleep with the doors open slightly. The window handle is also broken and we couldn't close the window properly. The carpet feels dirty like it hasn't been cleaned for months. The phone to contact the reception is not working. Service was really poor too. We requested plates the staff didn't send them to us, so we had to keep requesting them. The bathroom shower hose is broken and was leaking all the time until we got the staff to change it. The microwave was placed in a stupid location that we couldn't even open it fully to put a plate in. It was blocked by the stove. The washing machine is terrible. It was so dirty and every time we washed our clothes it started shaking and jumping violently. We usually do our laundry at night and we can only sleep after it stops running. Room service is bad too, the cleaning staff didn't even want to enter our room. They only changed our towels and refilled the toilet paper and shower amenities. No vacuuming at all for the entire 3 weeks stay. The bedsheet was changed once a week. The only good point about this service apartment is that there is a supermarket, Woolies opposite and some nice eateries. The view was good too. Other than that, I do not recommend for long stays.

Very easy to get of the freeway powers street exit.
I would suggest the $30 per night on-site car parking as there are a lot of teenagers that seem to hang out the front of the hotel with scooters going everywhere. Reception staff were ok, could be friendlier.
The room was a one bedroom apartment so plenty of room in lounge and bathroom (good water pressure) but the bedroom it self is small so we left out cases out in the lounge area. Nice big balcony. There was a washing machine and small kitchenette which would be handy on longer stays.
Car parking was an ease with plenty of room to move and decent size parks and easy access to lifts. Lifts themselves need a bit of love with black scuffs over walls and missing floor buttons.
Nice supermarket and cafe across the road.
Not bad for the price

Imagine Marco was dirty and a complete disappointment. My family stayed (during Xmas) at a $389 a night 2 bedroom Sky Room expected for 6 nights. We only tolerated a couple nights before leaving.

Complaints include – no house cleaning during whole stay, filthy windows, broken bathroom door. missing cooking utensils, cutlery, plates and the glasses (all dirty).
The smoke alarm fell from the roof during stay. We were told to move a second apartment. The second apartment had a broken tv, broken right set of the couch,
dirty towels and underwear next to washing machine (not ours!), smoking vape left on the couch, Hungry Jacks containers and M&Ms packet left around the room (not ours!)

We did not stay in the second room after this discovery. We left the hotel feeling disgusted. Confronted staff about the stay, all they could say was they had two cleaners working in the whole hotel. they were totally unfriendly. They did not seem to care. This was the worst hotel experience in my life. Worst hotel experience in my parents life as well. Beware future guests !!! Would never to dream of staying again, even for free.

Currently staying here now in a 2 bedroom sky apartment. It's tiny and squishy and run down inside with deep thick scratch marks all over the wooden floors. Tiny windows in the tiny rooms that just fit queen beds, rooms with crappy views of the aircon engine rooftop from bedrooms. Pool restrictions with Covid with 6 people in the water at a time and 45 minute intervals. We waited till 4.00pm to get a spot for the pool, go there and there's 10 people in the water so we sit and waited for 15 minutes till we had enough of waiting as nobody would get out of the water? So rules are enforced but not manned by any staff. Don't be fooled by the pool pictures (I'd say 2 meters wide by 6 meters long) it's very very small and looked at capacity with 10 people in it!
Would not stay here again and would definitely not recommend. I've stayed at much better apartments for a similar price.

Dear J1275SOalexb, Thank you for advising us of your experience and the areas were improvements can be made. We value our guests and review all feedback to improve our standards and product. We will discuss this feedback with the department managers to ensure we can view the apartment furnishing and make replacements where required. We have a variety of layouts within our two-bedroom apartments and if would like to give us the opportunity to welcome you back please call our reservation team to discuss the availability of layouts directly. Our reservation team can add car parking to the booking and add notes within reservations to allow us to allocate the best suited apartment that is available on the day. We understand at this time our facilities are very limited due to restrictions in place and can confirm some time is required to gain access if available on the day. The area is monitored and can confirm staff do complete audits of areas to ensure amount of capacity is limited and controlled with the cooperation of occupiers. Thank you for taking the time to review us. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Apologies for any delays and the inconvenience caused during your stay and limitations with recreational access. Thank you Kind Regards Imagine Marco Team

We stayed at this property for a week whilst we were in Melbourne for the Manchester United games. We had read some very mixed reviews about this property and some very negative reviews this year since most things have re-opened in Melbourne and everywhere is short staffed. So I rocked up prepared for the worst. As we were driving I packed cleaning gear, spare sheets, towels etc in anticipation of the worst. However, I was pleasantly surprised that did not to need to use any of the things. The apartment was spotless. It was so clean and so well presented. It was perfect for 4 adults. 2 seperate bedrooms, washing machine and dryer, full kitchen for cooking (full size fridge and freezer), lounge room and dining table. There is a hairdryer in the room and an iron and ironing board.
The best part was the lounge and balcony having incredible views. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the facilities all so modern. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms had an excellent daily cleaning service if you wanted it. If you didn’t the reception helped you with swapping towels or new garbage bags and taking rubbish if the rubbish shoot wasn’t functioning. Cannot rave about the staff here enough.
The outside pool is very nice to swim in too. I jumped in on a 15 degree day and it was in the mid 20s.
We were pleasantly impressed with this place and would say to give this place a whirl. We found it very convenient and easy to use.
Side note, there is limited parking at this property so you need to contact them via email early to reserve a carpark. Otherwise there are nearby parking structures you can book and prepay or pay by the day nearby.
Highly recommend this apartment.
