Can't get to Bali? Try The Bay Village. I've stayed in any amount of places in Sanur just like this - even to the point of being full of Australians. Our room was larger than we expected and I suspect we must have been given an upgrade. The room was fairly simple but did not lack any of the things the average traveller would require. We'd return.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was fine. The outlook into the garden very pretty. The Balinese restaurant attached served the best Balinese food I've eaten outside of Bali. Completely authentic. The staff in the restaurant, at reception etc were great and the continental breakfasts the best I've ever had. Thank you Darshi! The staff throughout were engaged, helpful, courteous. The location of Bay Village is very good - just a few minutes walk from the northern end of the Esplanade and boardwalk. I enjoyed my stay, will go again, and would recommend it to friends.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 days, the drain in the bathroom leaked all over the floor and we could not shower as all the towels were used up trying to keep the floor dry. When we spoke to reception they gave us 2 more towels to fix the floor with but that didn’t help. House keeping didn’t clean the room either so that was disappointing We went to the bar which was dark and dingy and the poor bartender didn’t even have a moment to greet us because he was ran flat off his feet trying to cater to the restaurant and the bar by himself. We ended up leaving and going to the city restaurants instead Save your money and go elsewhere

We enjoyed our week at Bay Village. Location is good, breakfast in the room was different but we enjoyed having a good selection. This was the last week of 'Covid' eat in room breakfasts, but we liked the idea. The rooms were old style but large. Bathroom great, Fridge great , Bed, only ok. TV small and reception not great. WI-FI HORRIBLE. Poll was refreshing and the happy hours were fun. Staff were all helpful and friendly. We really did enjoy staying here.

Pros: Clean. Friendly staff. Air con works well. Cons: No wifi 95% of the time. Tiny bar fridge which didn't keep food at safe temps. "Kitchen" poorly stocked - no tongs etc - and stove so old the markings have worn off. No bench space. Outside stinks of cigarettes day and night, you have to walk through clouds of smoke to get in and out. Zero noise proofing - you will hear whispered conversations next door. Pool green and cloudy. No eco-cred - no recycling bins, housekeeping put the aircon on when I wasn't there with the windows still open! Taps dripping.
